Jealous

ANGELLE

FRIDAY afternoon. When our terror Science teacher announced that there would be an Astro camp, it wasn't just an ordinary camp. We would still be students, and what we would be studying would be about the moon and stars, meteors, and many more. We will observe how each one begins. Many were excited, but many were also annoyed because they said there would be additional fees again. Joining is not mandatory, but if you do, you will be exempted from Science. See?

"For those who want to join. You can pay tomorrow, just pay here in the room. Do we understand each other?" Ma'am asked.

"Yes!" we answered, even though we had many questions in mind.

"Okay, take your lunch. Goodbye, GAS 2." Ma'am bid goodbye after saying that.

I packed up my things. Just as I was finishing, Ernest approached and helped me organize, which made me smile.

Afterward, he walked with me to the canteen. He knew I had my own group of friends, and he had his own set of friends.

"Um. Angelle, are you joining the Astro camp?" he asked as we walked.

"Yes, it's still worth it." I nodded.

"So, we'll see each other at the Astro camp." I smiled.

"That's good news." I said.

He smiled and we continued walking towards the canteen. When we arrived, he helped me find my friends. There were already many students around. I swallowed hard when I saw Link and his friends looking at us.

I didn't pay attention to them and instead faced Ernest, thanked him, then approached Link. I sat on the vacant seat next to Link. I knew they did it on purpose so I could sit beside this guy.

"Why are you together?" Link asked me as I sat next to him.

"He just accompanied me here. And we're classmates." He frowned.

"But I don't want to see you with him," I said sharply, looking at him.

He just accompanied me, that's all. If Prof had come, I wouldn't have been with him.

"Are you jealous?" he asked teasingly, which made his friends laugh.

"Dang. Link, so you're jealous after all?" John-john said, widening his eyes at Link.

"I thought you weren't the jealous type, Link? Why the sudden change?" Russel remarked.

"Man, it's like it's new to you." He said.

I gave him a glare, making him gulp.

"Language, Link." I warned him.

He just grinned and flashed a peace sign. He shouldn't show any sign of weakness to me.

"Guys. Do you know the news spreading around Maximo today?" Jimwell suddenly asked, catching our attention.

"Is it a scandal?" Kervin asked.

"No. Because I heard from our homeroom teacher that we'll have a two-week vacation after the exams." Wow.

"Is that true?" Lica asked. Wendell shrugged in response.

"If that's true. Any plans for the semestral break, guys?" Andre asked with a smile.

Maybe they made it two weeks because after the exams, it's already Halloween.

"Beach, guys." John-john suggested.

I remembered when we went to Tito Ion's beach resort with Isiah. I wonder how Isiah is doing now? Aunt hasn't called me, so I don't want to disturb her in case she's busy with their company.

"Hey, Cous. What do you think?"

I snapped back to the present upon hearing Ate Jove's question. She furrowed her brow at me, giving me a "what's-with-you" look.

"Uh, what is it?"

Link cleared his throat and answered. "Jovelyn suggested that we should just go to Capiz." I raised an eyebrow.

"Capiz? Aren't there lots of mythical creatures there?" I saw Ate Jove raise an eyebrow.

"Let's just go, Cous. What's with that? Do you believe in mythical creatures?"

Well, I don't believe, but duh. I'm scared.

"Who will we stay with there?" I asked.

"The youngest sibling of Papa's side, Aunt Leigh. She's the only one living in their house there." He explained.

"Are you still single, Jove?" Andre asked, causing Ate Jove to look at him.

"Why are you asking?"

"Is it wrong to ask if you're still single?"

"Not really, but the tone of your voice sounds like you're excited to know if my aunt is still single."

I sighed and rolled my eyes because it seemed like there would be another world war 3.

"Hey! Both of you, stop it now. Let's talk about your plans after the exam." Russel scolded the two.

They remained silent and drifted into their own worlds again. I glanced at the spaghetti that was in front of me a moment ago but now gone. I frowned when I saw the plate of spaghetti in front of Link. This guy is really stingy.

He looked at me when he noticed I was looking at him. "Are you hungry?" he asked. Is this guy teasing me?

"I'm not hungry. Just seeing you eat makes me full," I retorted.

He grinned and pushed the plate of spaghetti towards me.

"Tch. Do you think I'd agree to just watch? Eat your food." He said, handing me a fork which I accepted.

He bought it, but I ate it, haha. While eating, I looked at him and smiled unknowingly, realizing that I've been doing it more frequently.

I just shook my head and continued eating.

AFTER we finished lunch, Link escorted me to our room. When the bell rang as a signal for us to return to our rooms, Ernest approached me and said we should go together. He had the wrong timing because Link was right beside me, and I wasn't allowed to go with my classmate as Link insisted on escorting me.

Link really acts like a boyfriend, thinking he can get jealous of the guys I hang out with as if he's my boyfriend.

Before I entered the room, he told me to stay away from Ernest. I wonder what's up with that guy. Ernest hasn't done anything wrong, but Link seems to be angry with him. When asked why he's angry, he just smiles.

I opened my notebook and started writing down the lesson. Prof texted me earlier to copy today's lesson for him so he wouldn't miss it. The guy was absent because he had a headache.

"Angelle," I looked up as Ernest called my name.

"Oh?"

"Can you accompany me on Sunday?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Where?" I asked as I continued writing.

"I'm going to buy something to wear for the science fair." Ah.

"Can't you just go by yourself?" he retorted.

"There's no one to help me. That's why my mom told me to just buy it."

He nodded and smiled. "Alright." He returned the smile.

"I'll just text you where we'll meet."

I nodded in response and continued writing.

While Sir Archie was engrossed in the discussion, there was a knock on the door of our classroom. He paused and looked at the person at the door. We saw two female students outside.

Sir Archie spoke to them and after a minute, he returned and resumed the discussion.

After a while, the discussion ended, and we were dismissed.

As I stepped out of the room, I was immediately greeted by Link with a smile that I reciprocated with an annoyed look. What made him think it was necessary to pick me up?

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"Is it wrong for me to pick up my panda?" I stopped walking and gave him a stern look.

What did he just say? Panda?

"Stop calling me Panda. I'm not chubby like a panda," I scowled, causing him to let out a chuckle.

"Haha. I didn't say you're like a panda? It's just cute to call you that."

I rolled my eyes. "It's ugly. Only idiots find the term 'panda' endearing," I said, making him pout even more.

"This idiot right here," he pouted, causing me to roll my eyes even more.

Tch, he's so stubborn. Like he's so good-looking that being called cute suits him? I mean, pouting?

When we reached outside the gate, we were greeted by Ate Jove eating popcorn. I passed on the popcorn for now.

We started walking home when I heard Ernest calling my name. He smiled at us and faced me directly. I noticed the raised eyebrows of the guy beside me. Why is Ernest calling me?

"Ernest, what's up?" I asked.

"Angelle. Remember what I told you. I'm counting on you," he said. I smiled and nodded.

He smiled back, bid us goodbye, and caught up with his friends who were already ahead. I glanced at my companions and continued walking.

"What did Ernest say?" Link asked, making me steal a glance at him.

"Huh?"

"What he said to you?"

"Ah. It's nothing, just about what he'll wear." I couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"I'm starting to dislike how Ernest constantly approaches you. Does he find pleasure in annoying me and making me jealous?" he said, causing my eyebrows to furrow.

"Hey, Ernest is my classmate. Of course, we're somewhat close, so he approaches me." I looked at him. "And you shouldn't be jealous of Ernest. I don't have feelings for him," I smirked.

"Maybe you don't, but what about him?" he questioned.

"It doesn't matter."

He remained silent, and once we reached the terminal, we rode a tricycle. Ate Jove and Andre were inside with Lica, while Link and I were at the back. The other guys were in a separate tricycle since we couldn't all fit in one.

I stole a glance at Link, who remained unusually quiet after our conversation about Ernest. I knew he was feeling jealous, but he shouldn't escalate it further since there was nothing to be jealous about. Ernest and I were just friends and classmates, and it ended there.

I let out a sigh and held onto his arm, causing him to look at me. Eeeerrr! Why does he have to look so enticing when he's mad? It's so annoying.

I gulped. "I'm sorry if you're feeling jealous," I said.

"Why are you apologizing? You didn't do anything wrong," he said.

"Yeah, I didn't do anything wrong, but... you're feeling jealous because I allow Ernest to approach me," I said.

He let out a chuckle and pulled me closer. He embraced me with one arm, and I rested my head on his chest. I felt him kiss my forehead, causing me to close my eyes.

"It's not your fault if I feel jealous. I know that when I love someone, I'll feel this way because I love you," he whispered.

I wanted to reciprocate and say I love him too, but I couldn't. I won't say 'I love you' until it's just the two of us. For now, I'm happy with him. I'm happy that a hype beast like him turned out to be like this. A hype beast who everyone thinks is cancer to society. But a hype beast who loves truly.

I love the current Beast in my life. I want to live with him, as corny as it sounds, but he's the one who has made me truly happy, something I didn't feel with my ex-boyfriends.

I hope it's him.

"I love you, Cris. Please, don't leave me! Please, don't let it end like this!"

I can really feel the pain Aein is experiencing right now. The pain of being left by the person she loves. My favorite romance series has a new episode again, which airs only on Saturdays.

"Cris! I'll do everything. Damn it! Just don't leave me!"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Why is it so painful to watch this kind of scene? I feel like I'm Aein being left by Cris.

"Oh my gooood!"

I looked sharply at Hero, who had just come down the stairs and shouted. I gave him a look, and he closed his mouth, then sat beside me and looked at the TV.

"Is Aein crying? What happened?" Hero asked me, still focused on the TV.

See? He also likes this show.

"Cris is going to leave her." I replied briefly, wiping my tears.

"So it's going to end?"

"Not yet. Cris is just going to leave her."

Hero didn't say anything and just focused on watching. We were interrupted by a knock on the gate.

I stood up from my seat and went to open it. I raised an eyebrow when I saw Link, but I still opened the gate.

"Why?" I asked.

He looked at my swollen eyes from crying.

"Are you crying?" I nodded. He approached me and gave me a puzzled look.

"Why?"

"Because of what I'm watching. Cris just left Aein." He blew some air.

"I thought it was something serious." He wiped the corner of my eye and smiled. "Do you want to come with me?" he asked.

"Where to?"

"Parañaque." I raised an eyebrow.

"What are we going to do there?"

What's his plan going to Parañaque for?

"It's my nephew's birthday. Ate Lira asked me to go, and I wanted to bring you along."

"I don't have a gift." I said.

"That's not important. And my sister also said I can bring you."

I sighed. "Okay, but you need to ask for permission from my mom first." He grinned and showed me the message thread with my mom on his phone screen.

I saw their conversation and read my mom's permission for Link.

'Okay, Link. Just take care of Angelle.'

He already got permission. I glared at him, then ushered him inside and made him sit on the sofa. He sat next to Hero and fist-bumped him.

"You stay here for a bit. I just need to attend to something." I said as he nodded.

He dressed up to come over to the house. He wore black cut pants and a slightly long plain white t-shirt. His good looks were even more enhanced by his outfit. Messy hair is really trendy nowadays, and he's rocking it, adding to his good looks.

"What are you watching?" I

heard Link ask Hero as I headed upstairs.

"Every Princess Needs A Prince." Hero replied.

Upon entering my room, I faced the mirror and looked at my face. Out of the blue, I found myself smiling while my cheeks turned slightly pink.

"Your smile puts the city lights to shame."
