"Why?" I stammer, I didn't even notice that he was already holding my hand in ease. His blue eyes held mine for several long seconds before I looked away. "Why are you so bent on chasing me? What do you even see in me, Raphael? I'm just a nobody."
"Who knows? Maybe i'm sick like your mother." He grins, yet he harbored a slight disappointment in his eyes. "But don't you ever call yourself a nobody, Dear. My woman is never a nobody."
My heart skipped a beat. When I realized how his comments were making me feel, I took a big breath. I reached for my mother's bedroom door without thinking, but he stopped me with a firm hand.
"What are you doing? You're not gonna cause a scene, are you?" He asks, his eyebrows raised.
"This is rare, I thought you liked me noisy, as to entertain your boring life." My eyeballs rolled. "Don't worry, i'm not gonna cause a scene. I just want to talk."
He looks at me in doubt.
I sighed. "I promise, okay? I won't do anything weird."
