Chapter Fourteen

Harrison's POV

"What are you doing in here?", was the question I asked Ann when I found her lying on my bed in nothing but a plain white transparent lingerie with her cleavage on full display and her boobs perking out of the thin linen.

"Why are you asking me such a question Kerry?". "Why?." I'm I not

allowed to use your room too huh?",Ann said as she got down from the bed and came sashaying towards me.

"I never asked you to use my room nor lie on my freaking bed". "The fact that you've access to break into my home, use my parlor and kitchen without me complaining about it doesn't give you the right to have access to my bedroom",I say getting really annoyed.

"Harrison am I not your girlfriend?. "Yes, I do have every right to use  what is yours, that's it". "C'mon ,why are you making a big deal out of this?". "Besides, I wanted to surprise you with this",She said gesturing me to take a good look at her body of which disgusted me at the moment.

Is she planning on offering me her body? If not for today, I wouldn't have known Ann to be that type of woman.

"Look Harrison don't be annoyed". "I'm sorry for coming in here without your permission but I wanted to do something different with you today". "Off late, you've been quite busy and stressed out". "I just.. I just wanted to spend this time with you,you know...to show you something different",she said wrapping her arms around my neck trying to get my attention.

"Will you stop whatever you're planning to do woman!."Is this your path to blackmail?". "Ann, the last time I checked, I didn't and have never asked you to be my girlfriend in the first place". " The fact that we hanged around as friends doesn't mean there's something going on between us. "I admire you and you're beautiful, any man would be lucky to have you but not this",I say as I pried her hands off me loosen my necktie.

"What does that supposed to mean Harrison?", she asked.

"I admire you as a friend and business partner Ann, nothing more". "This isn't you Ann". "The Ann I knew was very well dedicated to her job". "Ever since I gave you the chance to hang out with me,you've changed".

"Changed in what way?. " Here in the case, you led me on and I on the other hand thought we were  starting to build a relationship,you disgust me",she said through gritted teeth while looking into my eyes.

"Really?. "Even if  you tried that, but that doesn't have to make you relax and concentrate more on the relationship than your job. "Life's a balance  and you need to balance things up". "You don't go to work like you used to,Ann"

"Don't stand there lecturing me on how I'm  supposed to live my life,Harrison". "I mean don't you get all these?". Isn't all what I'm doing a sign of my love for you?. "I'm deeply in love with you Harrison and there's no turning back",she pointed out coming much closer to where I'm standing until there was an inch of space between us.

"What?!"."Are you listening yourself woman?". "Ok, I think it's time I need to come clean with you". "I never wanted a relationship with you, ok"."I'm in love with someone else". "I'm sorry if you thought I was leading you on but I never had a thought of what you plastered about us in your mind", I tell her letting out a breath I was holding. Then realization hit me on what I just said to her of been in love with someone else.

Julie

"I can't believe you Harrison". "I won't accept the fact that you didn't want a relationship with me". "What about the date?",she whispered yelled trying to control her anger.

"What about them?". "That was your mindset Ann". "I never asked you to go on a date with me,I didn't ."I only invited you to have dinner with me, I made it clear for the first and second time. "If you were assuming things on your own, I didn't know and I wouldn't be interested to know".

"You know what? ."You're a douchebag". "How can you tell me this rubbish?!. "Didn't your parents teach you good manners? Or you think you can do this to any other lady and get away with it?",she said angrily and folded her arms on her chest stomping her feet on the floor.

"I won't entertain you standing there and insulting me right to my face Ann". "No human was programmed to know and access what's going on in the brains of his kind".

"Then why were you treating me with all the care like how a man's supposed to treat a woman?". "Huh?!",she said sounding hurt and emotional.

"Ann, please... please.. don't push me". "I've had enough of your complains". "I'm exhausted now, I need to take a shower and rest, so please do me the favor of leaving my  room and never come back in here ever again", I said pointing out to the door.

"If you think I'm done with this conversation, I'm not". "You need to tell me who the hell you are in love with!. "I'm not giving up on you no matter what!. "A lot of men are dying to  get a feel of me, my body! and you're standing there doing nothing and talking bullshit!.",she gritted out the words through her teeth enough for me to hear.

"Leave!",I said while she glared hard at me passing by and heading towards the door.

"I'm on done with this Harrison". "You won't talk like this to me and get away with it",she said before opening the door and banging it behind on her way out.

I sighed heavily then removed my Rolex watch placing it on the nightstand, unbuttoned my shirt and pants and headed to the bathroom to take a shower as today's event came unfolded in my mind .

After having dinner, I collapsed on my bed  already feeling disgusted that she had her body on it moments ago.

A call came in as I picked my phone up checking the caller ID of which was my secretary asking for her assignments which were in a file of documents stored in the photos gallery on my phone.

"Ok give me a moment to send it to you through your mail",I said to her and ended the call after she responded back .

I was checking on my photos gallery after the call ,scrolling down to where the files are saved up when I came across a picture of Julie . This picture was taken by Persus, my business partner on the day of our project celebration,or let me say...our little get together to celebrate our success of winning the contract.

The way she poised for the picture and that beautiful smile of hers had me staring on the screen on my phone with an involuntary smile threatening to fall on my lips. I zoomed it in to examine her features carefully.

Julie's a very beautiful woman. She's smart , hardworking and intelligent. I don't blame Persus for being so obsessed with her. This time, I've realize my connection with her growing much more  bigger that I'm starting to get impatient. I'm scared that she wouldn't feel the same way like I do about her. As I kept on staring at her picture, I lay there reminiscing her first day  in my office for her interview.  She was so eager to do anything if given the chance to start work.

Recalling our conversation.....

"What makes you think that you'll get this job",I said asking her.

"I-I'm deem for this job because I have the knowledge and skills for it. I also have other abilities stated in my resume, all the reason why I'm passionate and sure about taking this. I have a degree in Linguistics and a Master's in Interpreting and translating. "I'm all ears to adhering to all your instructions",she said confidently

"You know... I don't think you can do this job better than you think you can", I told her knowing very well that I was being a jerk and giving her a tough time.

"Look sir, I know you've gone through my resume. I know you'll need someone like to fit into the interpreting department. "Please give me a chance and I'll show you what I've  got. I am going to do anything even if you don't consider to give me a decent space in here, consider me to be a part of the cleaning staff and I'll do it",she said in desperation while I was staring at her amusedly.

I smiled thinking of those times while I quickly send the files to my secretary.

Before I closed my eyes, I realized one thing.

I've falling for my personal assistant.
