For all that is holy, part 2
A wall of ice rose around Cael in a circle, intercepting all the flying daggers. They stuck in the ice, both thanks to their speed and to the chill that the wall emanated.
"Not bad, signore warlock!" Arca exclaimed. "You are getting a hang of the wordless magic, are you?"
Cael shrugged with one shoulder, though Arca didn't see it. He did, he guessed. His practice with Ginevra paid off—it was she who taught him to make the Frost Wall in different shapes.
Maybe he WAS ready to try more wordless magic, but it was too risky to rely on it yet.
Either way, he had enough time before Arca extracted his daggers to finish the spell he wanted to cast originally.
"<Crimson river, your master commands! Flow from the veins of unworthy, give up their life!>"
Just before Cael finished casting, he broke the Frost Wall spell. The magical ice shattered instantly, and Arca's daggers, which tried to break free of it, flew away from Cael by inertia.
