Candy
"...Candy..." mumbled Ezra, shifting in bed, drenched in sweat.
In the past hour, her temperature has decreased considerably thanks to the medicine and wet cloth the store owner provided us, but she has been speaking nonsense in her sleep for a while now. Sighing, I took the cloth off her forehead, soaking it in the basin of cold water.
Placing it back, something grabbed forcibly and squeezed my wrist. I looked down at Ezra who was gazing at me with half-closed eyelids, "Why...did you...take my candy?" she uttered.
I rolled my eyes and removed her grip on my hand. "You were hallucinating due to your fever. There is no candy"
"I want candy!" she moaned.
"Each day that goes by, you prove to me that calling you crazy is an understatement," I groaned. "The good news is that you're doing better. Your fever is nearly gone, and I changed your wound's bandages"
Blinking slowly, she stared around before settling her gaze on my face "Where...are we?"
