Alexis's POV
She was聽running, again. The girl that used to haunt my dreams is back.
The fear was evident in her eyes as she ran through the dark woods all聽alone聽and聽frightened.
Her feet stopped and her eyes widened when her ears and eyes picked up something in front of her.聽
It seemed to be a tree. She聽narrowed聽her eyes and tried to get a better, clearer view of聽what's聽in front of her. It was dark and even with her聽heightened聽senses she couldn't make out the figure.
The trees rustled above her and swayed with the wind to what seemed to be a sad聽melody.
Her ears聽picked聽up different sounds聽around聽her. The crunching of leaves, the hoots of the owls, the singing of the聽crickets.聽It聽was all too much, she聽couldn't聽handle it. She wanted light.
Suddenly聽her chest became ached like it was on fire and the burning pain surged through her聽whole聽body as it started glowing in the dark.
Her own fire seemed to have illuminated聽light聽all around her for now she could see the figure.
