War Council

Hearing the Queen's declaration, everyone decided to turn their attention from the apparent freak of nature, Vance. The man himself decided to create chairs for him and the girls to use, on which they quickly sat down to avoid being distracting. Once everyone was seated, the war council officially began. John first brought up the problem that faced them.

"Now, I think everyone here has some knowledge of why we have gathered here today. The Rising Dragon Kingdom's declaration of war. While the enemy kingdom could be considered quite some distance away, they seem to have a special travel method that allowed them to sneak a large army near us. Now while discussing defense plans is important, I think an important part of those plans involve determining this method so we won't be caught off guard."

Vance, hearing John's statement, was impressed. He had read many stories that featured an incompetent king, and he was pleased that his 'father in law' was not one. While thinking this, he spoke up, deciding to pipe in with ideas of what the method could be.

"Well John, in my experience, there are a couple ways that someone would be able to quickly get from point a to point b. But the one's I mainly use would be Space Magic and Magic Portals."

Hearing this, a confused advisor, spoke up.

"Wait, but aren't those two things the same?"

Vance answered the man.

"Not at all. While to me, both can either be used in an instant or be cast over a short period of time, the way that they're used normally by people, seems to be that they require either a previously set up condition, or that a large number of people comes together to cast the magic."

Hearing this information, the room went silent, as they began to think about how these two could come into play. Seeing this, Vance decided to speak up once more.

"John, instead of sending people that have almost no familiarity with those two things, I'll just go and see if I can solve the problem quickly. I'll leave Celine, Hope, and Jess here for now. After all, the girls might have one of the greatest understandings on how powerful I am, and anything that they don't know can be answered later. For now, I agree that the enemy being able to just appear, is quite a problem."

Hearing Vance's offer to help, John nodded his head and spoke.

"Vance, I appreciate your assistance. My kingdom would likely fall to this enemy, if not for you."

"Don't worry about it. After all, it would make Hope and Jess sad if I just let this place get destroyed. Now girls, be sure to remember this stuff for later."

Vance then quietly whispered to Celine.

"Don't be afraid to send a message through our soul link, or even the system if you need to."

Saying this, Vance pet Celine's head, and then Hope and Jess' upon seeing that they wanted him too. He then opened up a portal and walked straight through, shocking a majority of the people in the room once more.

"He wasn't bragging when he said he could just use those instantly, was he?"
