A Small Break from Training

Holding Ava and feeding her his Mana, Vance thought about the hard work that everyone had been putting in during this time period. Although to Vance it had felt like a mix between a few seconds and a few years due to the pain and designing, it had been several hours. Therefore he decided, that everyone should have a short break in order to somewhat recuperate. Thinking this was a good idea, Vance headed towards the training area with Celine following behind him, and Ava in his hand. As they reached the training area, Vance could hear the sounds of fighting going on inside. Peaking inside, Vance could see the girls sparring in a free for all style, attempting to sharpen their reflexes for unexpected situations. Seeing Vance come into the room, the girls all ceased their actions and waved at him.

"Yo girls, break time. I thought that we could all relax for a bit. Cause honestly, I'm kinda tired of the agonizing pain. SO game time."

"Master believes that we have all worked hard, and so we should take a rest. He has just finished giving Ava, his new baby pet rat, a way of strengthening. So we should go and enjoy this brief free time."

"Sounds like a good idea Mr. Vance. I wanted to pick up another book from your world. I already finished the last one."

"Well there are a lot of books in my world. Almost endless amounts of literature."

"Sir Vance, let's play a fighting game, one where you me and Jess can play together. We can beat you this time for sure."

"Jess, probably. As for you Hope, I do think you've gotten better, but I don't know if you can guarantee a win just yet."

"Just you wait Sir Vance."

"Vance, I agree with Hope. Lets play a fighting game."

"You got it Jess."

"Van, I would like to watch you play and perhaps learn how to play this game."

"No problem Sarah."

As they had this playful conversation, Vance and the girls headed towards the living room, fully prepared to relax. Even Ava had moved from Vance's hand to his shoulder, and started to nap. Upon reaching the living room, everyone began to do their activities. Alice began reading on the couch while Hope, Vance, and Jess began playing a fighting game that allowed them all to play at once. Besides them, Sarah watched them play and asked questions about what was happening. All this while Ava was peacefully sleeping on Vance's shoulders.
