"In our most recent news...The kingdom of Denmark, the kingdom of Sweden, and Finland have formed the Scandinavian defensive front, effectively creating a new country with the capital of Stockholm. It is unknown if even with this new alliance, they will be able to resist the BETA push into Scandinavia.
The unified jihad army of the Middle Eastern Union have launched a simultaneous counterattack from Turkey and Egypt, despite the temporary reconquering of the Suez canal, the counterattack seems to have failed. The United States of America has offered to send 100 F-5 freedom fighters to the MEU on the condition that on recapture, the Saudi oilfields will become US territory. While most call this a hostile action, it was nevertheless accepted by the Union which said, "Barrels of oil will never hold a heavier weight than our sovereign and historical lands, it is a worthy sacrifice."
Junpei reached forward and turned off the radio before saying, "I would like to hear the news of my own country, once in a while." Genkei was on his way home from the Takamura household currently. The Toyota Crown Super they were riding in rode softly along the freshly paved roads of Kyoto. "Kazuki-san said we have the Gekishin's now, is that true, Junpei?" Genkei asked his servant, still excited about the news of the TSF reaching the Empire.
"Indeed, Genkei-dono, in fact, they have a few at Camp Asaka tasked with defending Kyoto, if we're lucky, we may get to see them fly over the city." Genkei rocked back and forth in the back seat of the car with stars in his eyes, it was clear to see he was fascinated with them. "I want to fly one!" He commented to which Junpei chuckled and remarked, "If there is anyone good enough to fly one, it would be you, Genkei-dono."
[Kouzuki Household]
It was around 3 pm, around the time that Motoko and Mitsuko returned from their school. Genkei was sitting on the ground in front of the Koi pond with his back to the solitary sakura tree. Yuuko was nearby, doing a packet of algebra problems the Takamura family provided. Genkei himself had a wooden slate with a blank sheet of paper atop it and was trying to come up with a fitting Haiku to write. He was stumped, he could easily do high school level math at three years old, but couldn't begin to understand how to write poems. Around the same time he considered ripping the paper up, the sliding door to the back yard flung open, revealing a six-year-old Mitsuko and eight-year-old Motoko.
"TADAIMA!" Mitsuko yelled before rushing towards Genkei and jumping into him, knocking him to the ground. "*COUGH!* Mitsuko-nee! You could have killed me!" he complained to which Mistuko rolled her eyes and pulled him up and didn't deign him with a response. "Whatcha doing?" She asked, noticing the paper and pen. "Takamura-dono told us to write a Haiku about Bushido, but I don't know where to start." It was at this moment that the intellect of Genkei manifested itself, with a gasp he grabbed Mitsuko's hands and looked at her with the 'Kouzuki Puppy Eyes Technique™', "Please, help me Mitsuko-nee!" Her response was, "Eh?"
[A few minutes later]
The forms of Yuuko, Motoko, and Genkei could be seen looming over the shoulder of Mitsuko as she tried to write a good Haiku for her little brother. Mitsuko had been different from the other three siblings from the beginning. Despite having the same intellect, she was more eccentric, girly, and creative than the other two sisters, who had an introverted and proper disposition. This was the reason Genkei wanted her help, as compared to Motoko. With a final slash, the Haiku was finished, with a jump, Mitsuko was on her feet, handing the sheet to Genkei.
Except, when he went to take it, she yanked it back. "Eh?" Mitsuko's eyes narrowed while she took on a sly grin and said, "Now Genkei-kun, there is only one way you're getting this paper...." To which Genkei looked completely confused, "All you have to do...Is call me Onee-sama for the whole day!" Genkei, without any hesitation, said, "Mmm, thanks Onee-sama!" and grabbed the paper and trotted off, leaving a stunned Mitsuko, a laughing Motoko, and a confused Yuuko.
"hahaha! You didn't expect that, did you, Mitsuko-chan?" Motoko mocked while holding her stomach laughing. "I don't get it, my friend said he would defiantly be all embarrassed and cute! Ive been lied to! Betrayed!" Mitsuko raved, causing Motoko to laugh even harder, meanwhile, Yuuko just quirked a brow before going back to doing Math equations.
