The sound of iron echoed in the room. Holding a knife in one hand and a fork in the other, Mae slowly enjoyed the plate of steak. Simply because she wanted to feel the taste of it after so many years of not enjoying the dish.

Dinner on the table included cream of corn soup, fresh vegetable salad, steak with mashed potatoes and mushroom sauce. Because she didn't like drinking alcohol, she only drank fruit juice.
