Ch. 32 Preparations ( Part 2 )

( Yuto Pov )

Clank!

Immediately after waking up, I started working on my armor.

The way to make the armor sturdy and flexible was a hard task to make with a dragons scale.

But still.

' I'll need a stronger and better furnace. The only way to get one is the Hephaestus Familia. But I don't think they'll sell any to us...'

I tapped my finger against the table, and I thought of broks' brother.

' Hopefully, I could convince him.' I thought to myself as I was ready to bargain with Brok with wine.

A few minutes later...

" Sure kid, though you might need to convince my brother." Brok agreed to do easily as we started making our way to the Hephaestus Familia.

I followed the sound of Broks footsteps, which a few minutes later arrived as brok mocked on the door.

" Oi! Brother, you in!" Brok shouted.

I heard hurried footsteps as the door opened.

" Brother?" A soft voice answered as he swung the door open.

" What are you doing here?" He asked.

" Oh! I'm just wondering if you have another furnace you don't use." Brok answered.

" Well... that's surprising. I thought you gave smiting up?" The brother walked inside as we followed him.

" Oh! Please leave your shoes at the door, I just cleaned this place."

I took off my shoes as brok didn't bother to listen to his brother, and he continued to follow him.

It seemed his brother expected this as he sighed and said nothing.

" Well, the furnace ain't exactly for me. It's for this little squirm here." Brok patted my head, which I slapped away.

" Oh? And... are you perhaps his apprentice?" Broks brother asked.

" You could say that." I replied, which caused brok to grunt.

I raised an eyebrow from his answer but didn't decide to ask.

" Here she is... It looks like... in top shape to this day. Sniff!" He started crying.

" Enough weeping! Help me with this." Brok shouted at his brother.

I could hear the brother sniffling as he tried to lift the furnace with his brother.

They both grunted as they tried to lift the furnace only to stop.

" Shit! How did you even get this in here!"

' Broks a level 5. Just how much does this even weigh? And his brother... he might be the same level as well, yet they both can't lift it.'

' Will my room even be able to handle the weight? Sigh, you might have to look for another place. And might as well make it a hidden workshop.'

" Here." I spoke as I touched the furnaces cold surface.

" woah!" The two brothers exclaimed as I put the furnace into my inventory.

" W...was that..."

" Space magic!" The two brothers synced once more as input a finger to my lips.

" It's best to keep it quiet." I whispered.

I didn't know if they agreed, but I could hear the two's heartbeat beating fast from excitement.

' I don't have time to move this furnace all day, and I'll have to explain inventory in the future anyway.' I thought as I tilted my head towards broks brother.

" Thank you for the furnace. As a thank you, I would like to give you some of my potions." I said as I handed the dwarf a crate of potions.

" Uhm, aren't there from..."

" That's right! These potions are created by this brat here. A real genuis." Brok started talking to his brother.

" I'm going to head back." I spoke, causing brok to dismiss me.

" Sure. I'll stay with my brother here." Brok replied.

I nodded and left the house.

' For a blacksmith from the Hephaestus Familia... why is he living here?' Inasked myself but not finding any answers, I continued back home.

A few minutes later, I entered Maxim's office.

" Sir."

" Now that's odd." Maxim muttered as he put down a pencil.

' Crap...' I cursed my habits.

Usually, I would only do this when Nick had a job for me and he would give it to me in his office.

So entering Maxim's office triggered that habit.

" I want another workshop."

" Denied." Maxim replied.

" Sigh, I need it to store another furnace that's too heavy for my room. And to make a stronger type of armor." I replied.

" Another invention?.... Fine as long as you demonstrate one of these armors." He replied.

" How long will it take?" He asked.

" Give me two days." I replied.

" Fine." He replied as I walked out the door.

" Hopefully, you don't blow it up." Maxim muttered under his breath as I closed the door.

" How's your training?"

I felt my cells shaking from the lack of presence that zald had before he spoke.

But keeping my composure, I tilted my head towards his voice.

" I killed three infant dragons yesterday.' I replied.

" Hm. I'm not going to doubt that." He replied as he started walking away.

I followed after him as he continued to speak.

" Next week, the Freya Familia moved the date of the battle. And seeing how you're improving. I won't doubt your skills unless you face someone above you."

" Aren't you worried a kid like me might be killed?" I asked.

" Worried? I've seen the way you fight. You might need some improvement, but for those lust filled idiots won't be too much of a hassle."

" Do you know the rules for the war game?"

" Nope. As i defeat everyone than itll be alright. " I shook my head, which caused Zald to sigh.

" Of course..." he sighed as he started started explaining the rules.

' Hmm, so there's no rules for killing... interesting. Are the gods so bored?' I thought as I stood in front of Zald.

" Let's continue your practice with your swordmanship."

I nodded and caught the sword he threw towards me.

" Hm?" I started rubbing my hands against the swords handle and noticed how different it felt.

" That's a greatsword. You must learn how to use other kinds of weapons." Zald explained as I nodded.

As a level 3, I can easily swing a normal greatsword, but as for taking Zalds blows. It was still deadly.
