Chapter 61 Evolution

Natsu was pumped up today cause finally the because of what he was about to do.

"you ready happy" Natsu shouted out

"aye sir" Happy replied with the same enthusiasm

"are you sure about this Natsu" Lisanna asked a bit worried about Natsu's plan

"Lisanna, You told me that Mira and Elfman are down right, trust me this is the best plan ever" Natsu yelled out enthusiastically making Lisanna think about the plan going in a bad direction

At that time Ash and Agni, the two Charmander children came out of the bushes

"char.. char"

"chari…chari"

Ash and Agni are the two Charmanders who has the guild mark on them. They are the first non-humanoid to ever get a crest in the history of Fairy Tail. And being creatures made out of fire, they gained great affinity with Natsu who like them was able to use the element of fire.

"Don't worry the plan will work well" Natsu said while taking out a request poster Happy had stolen earlier from the guild

The poster was about a wolf monster with a shiny red coat plaquing the outer part of Magnolia city. Seeing Lisanna sad about Mira and Elfman, Natsu decided to do an A rank quest with Lisanna to make them happy. Ash and Agni knowing about the plan decided to accompany them as well.

But they had no idea that someone was watching them from afar

"damn it what kind of idiot takes on a mission and thinks that will make others happy. Whether they complete the mission or not that asshole is going to get them all into trouble"

Gray Fullbuster, the Fairy Tail Ice mage seeing Happy silently take away a quest poster from the guild was following him to find out the idiotic plan his idiot friend was planning.

"then why don't you go with them and make sure they are safe" a voice suddenly startled Gray and when he looked back, he saw Ultear looking at him with a smile.

Natsu and the five others were going through the forest looking for the wolf not knowing that another person was following them to give them an extra hand.

Happy flew a bit high checking on the front and soon he found a few scratches on the tree roots

"Natsu, I found tracks"

"All right let's check them out"

Natsu found the marks, then using his high senses, he memorised the scent and started to follow the track

Lisanna and the Charmanders followed them carefully while keeping their guards up. Suddenly the two Charmanders turned around sensing someone and when they did, they found Grey coming out of the bushes.

"Hey what are you doing here" Natsu angrily shouted out while trying to confront Gray

"just making sure that you don't mess this up and Ultear knows what you are doing" Gray too replied angrily matching Natsu

"then let's make sure to finish it fast" Natsu said forgetting about his anger at Gray and began to move quickly towards where he tracked the scent

"Natsu wait up" Lisanna shouted while running behind Natsu

"This idiot" Gray mumbled as well while running behind to follow them

Within a few seconds of running, they heard a sound of howling and when they reached the clearing, they found Natsu confronting the Wolf

"FIRE DRAGON'S TALON" shouted Natsu while landing a punch while the wolf looked like it did not get hurt by that much

"this idiot" Grey grumbled "ICE MAKE LANCE" Gray formed a sword and started attacking the wolf as well

"ANIMAL FORM CAT"

"GRAA"

"GRAA"

Lisanna as well as the two Charmanders as well started attacking. After fighting for a few moments, they understood that their attacks are working but the damage is really low to form a severe injury and as they were trying to find out, the wolf suddenly lashed out.

Everyone managed to dodge the wolf, but the Charmanders were not that lucky. They were not that fast, so they had kept on attacking with fire attacks from a distance but now the wolf jumped close to them and striked them with his paw.

They both smashed into a tree and seemed to be heavily injured

"you bastard" Natsu shouted, and he started punching with even more strength

"check them out Lisanna" Gray said while he too started increasing his strength on each attack

Lisanna worriedly went towards the fallen Charmanders and tried to wake them up. But suddenly they started shining making her take a step back.

Natsu and Grey were still trying to hold the wolf back, but their earlier burst of power dwindled their reserves and they were getting close to emptying their reserves and losing

But suddenly two intense beams of flames striked the wolf pushing him towards a group of trees.

Surprised by the attack Natsu and Grey turned around to find two red lizard-like creatures with flames in their mouth and tail

"Ash, Agni" Grey asked a bit sceptically

Both the Charmanders had evolved into Charmeleons and used their strongest attacks to strike the wolf. And in the next moment both of them fainted and fell to the ground.

They both were heavily wounded before evolution which had not completely healed after evolution and the rest of the energy in their body was used up in the last attack after which they was not able to hold on and fainted.

Lisanna once again went towards Ash and Agni worried about their current condition. While Natsu and Gray prepared to fight knowing that their chances of winning right now are almost zero. Because the wolf had gotten back up and it seems like that the last attack only burned it slightly. It can't even be called a severe wound.

As they were contemplating their defeat, suddenly something fell from the sky on top of the wolf smashing him to the ground making a lot of dust fly out resulting in them losing their vision momentarily

And when the dust settled, they found a golden arrow on the wolf's head pinning it on the ground. They also noticed a note on the arrow.

Natsu and Grey gulped now being more afraid than when they were fighting the wolf. Trembling a bit Grey went near the arrow and took out the note

{since you idiots lost all 6 of you are getting punished by granny}

"NOOOOOOOOOO" a few shouts were heard throughout Magnolia making them wonder what happened
