~27 October 2006~
It has been a week since Serafall and Sairaorg came to my place. From that day, the devil began to trade with us once again. Our main product is the potions, but even then, we only sell a limited amount of potions as we also didn't have many options in our inventory. That is the reason I said to Serafall and the delegation she sent to Faysummit. Truthfully we have a thousand of them, and we can create more if it was empty, but Medea suggesting that we didn't sell too many of the potions to the devil. She said that we don't want to make our potion cheaper. We also only sent the potion that we already modified to have an anti-copycat attribute. This unique attribute is created with the help of Medea and the resident Elf.
While we know that the devil cannot recreate the potion, we still decide to use it anyway just in case, as I remember that the leading group of research facilities in the underworld is Ajuka Beelzebub, a well-known genius. So, yeah, I don't want to take a chance that Ajuka somehow succeeds in replicating our potion. The Khaos Brigade can replicate even a Phoenix Tear.
Speaking of our resident Elf…
*BOOM*
I look up and see a group of five elves fighting against a group of five dwarves. The elves use their magic knowledge to create hundreds of magic circles in the air while the dwarves wear their best armor and weapons to block and attack the incoming enemy.
From what I'm seeing, the Elf is like a tank. They continue to fire a spell that can obliterate mid-class being in a minute and have a spell around their body that lets them take massive damage without hurting themselves. On the other hand, the dwarves are like a Juggernaut that continue to charge toward their enemy and will deliver enormous damage if they reach their enemy just for a second. However, both of them have a weakness as well. Just like tanks, the Elves are not too good at close combat fighting, they are not amature or a weak people who don't know who to fight in hand-to-hand combat, but they are weaker in this area compared to the dwarves. The Dwarves, while excellent in a close combat situation, are not very good at long combat fights. They will try to get close to their enemy, but before they reach their target, the dwarves will get bombarded by the enemy spell and arrow. The dwarves can use a gun and arrow just fine, but in this sparring, they prefer using their sword, hammer, and ax.
"Is that all you got, you old bearded drunkard midget bas*tard!"
"Not at all! I will you test my new weapon, you old pint-sized d*ck c*nt."
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that they will keep swearing at each other for the entire fight? Yeah, they do that. When I first met the elves, I thought they were aristocratic people. Polite, Noble, and Kind. At first, they are like that, but when they meet the dwarves… They become something else. The only person that can match them in swearing is this one guy. He is a magician coming from Ireland. If he is not drunk, he is a nice guy, but after he has a fair share of alcohol, he becomes a sailor that will use swear words for every sentence he says.
I look at my watch and see that they are already fighting for thirty minutes. That meant that they would finish the fight in about fifteen minutes.
And true to my prediction, they stopped when the time hit the forty-five minutes mark. I don't why they decide to stop, but when the forty-five mark defeats either side is over, they decide that it was a draw.
"We will get you next time, you veggie-loving, arrow swallowing c*nt."
"Bring it on, you Ax hugging, drunkard bast*rd"
The elves and the Dwarves walk toward me after finishing their match.
"Yo, sorry for making you wait, Lexian!"
"Oi! At least show some respect for him, you bearded bast*rd. He is the owner of this land, you know. I'm sorry about him, Lord Lexian."
"Heh. Lexian here didn't care about what I called him. That is the reason why I like him. He didn't act high and might just because he owns this land. He acts humble and kind, not like your kind."
"You…"
I walk toward them and decide to stop them before they begin to fight once again.
"Mah Mah, let us not fight, okay? I don't mind being called by my first name. In fact, I insist on it. You are part of my family, that is why I want you to call me by my first name."
I am surprised when I see the Elves and Dwarves people begin to chuckle. Before the leader of both sides says.
"Heh. Then you should call me by my name. You already considered a friend of the Dwarven race, so you should call me by my name, Thakrol."
"And you can call me, Elluin, My Lord."
I smile at them before saying.
"I want to discuss something with you guys."
"Oh?"
"Is your latest project finished?"
"The Dragon Slayer one?"
"Yes. Ophis says that the presence of evil dragons in Tepes territory begins to increase at an alarming rate. Not only are they increasing, they somehow get stronger. Carol and her people cannot find or feel the presence of the said evil dragon, which makes me worried. I have a feeling we will fight a massive battle soon."
"That is worrying. We can finish the weapon just in time, but I don't think we can finish the ammunition. The cannon you want us to build is mostly finished, but the ammunition is the one that will become a problem. This 'Melammu Dingir' you are talking about is fascinating, shooting a precious weapon toward the enemy is fascinating but wasted a good weapon in the process."
"I know, but that is the original design of that weapon."
Melammu Dingir. The weapon of Uruk. The defensive mechanism of Uruk that let the people of Uruk hold their ground against many monsters in the Age of Gods. This castle library has not only the history of this world but also the history of my guardian world.
The first time I searched for adding more defense to my territory, I began to think about how good it would be if I had Melammu Dingir mounted on top of our city wall. To my surprise, a book appeared in front of me, explaining the history of that said weapon. However, when I asked the blueprint of Melammu Dingir, I only got a portion of the said blueprint. I don't know why the library only gave me a small section of the blueprint but lucky for me; it was enough for the Dwarves to build that weapon and mount it on top of the Faysummit wall.
However, just like Thakrol said, the Dragon Slayer project is a waste of good weapons. They build this weapon just like the original. They need to be loaded with a weapon that can be considered a Noble Phantasm. Lucky for me, we are in a world where Gods still walk on the earth, and the creator of many weapons in Faysummit can be considered a magic blacksmith. So all their weapon creation is a Noble Phantasm even though it was only at E-rank.
"Thakrol, is there anything you can do?"
"Of course. This weapon only lets a magic weapon be its ammunition, right?"
"Yes."
"Then let us create a bullet for this weapon. We will make a bullet using Flame Ore and then let that pint-sized pen*s person over there…"
"Oi!"
"...to enchant it with Dragonslayer attributes. It should be enough for the weapon to work."
"I see."
I looked at Elluin, the leader of the Elves group, and said,
"Elluin, can you do it?"
"Of course!"
"I see. Thank you, guys… I'm relieved to hear that Melammu Dingir will be finished just in time. If there is something I can do for you, I will grant it."
"Well… There is something you can do for us, My Lord."
"I see, what is it? Let me hear it, Elluin."
"We want full access to your private medical garden and poisonous garden. While the public medical garden is good, some workers there said that you have a private garden with more high-quality plants. That is why we want to have access to your garden."
"I'm okay with that, but I thought you didn't work potions, Elluin?"
"Ah! It was not for me. It was for my son and his group of soon to be potions master. We don't have potions master in our group, you see. So when my son and his friend want to become a potions master, we want to support their endeavor fully. A potion master cannot be called potion master if he or she did not do an experimenting new type of potion."
"Agreed. You can inform your son that he and all his friends can access Medea private garden."
"Thank you."
"It's my pleasure. Tharlok, is there anything I can do to pay for your hard work?"
"Give us access to your wine cellar."
"Denied"
"What?!? Why?!?"
"The last time I gave you access for your 'inspection,' we lost all our wine."
"Pfft. That is a drunkard for you! How barbaric"
"What was that you bast*rd?!?"
I sigh at their childish antics and say.
"While I cannot give you access, I can send some men to deliver ten barrel of wine each month to your base and a few kilos of Minotaurs meat. I will be sent the first batch of wine to your base tonight."
"Now we are talking! We will have a party tonight!"
I smile at their cheerfulness. I want to protect this feeling. My only hope that our problem with the Tepes faction is quickly solved.
