Dinner Party

~11 July 2008~

"Hm? The Shinto faction wants to invite us to a dinner party?"

"Yes, Master. Amaterasu writes this letter."

"That means we can't just reject their invitation, huh?"

"Sadly, yes."

I don't want to attend another political meeting. I want to relax for a little bit, but sadly the reality is a b*tch.

"Reply to them saying that we will attend the meeting. Did she say how many people we can bring?"

"She only asks not to bring more than fifty people."

"Then we all will go to the Takamagahara, including Valerie and her guardian. Please inform them to prepare for tomorrow evening. Also, tell the elite guard to prepare as well. They will be the ones escorting us. While I don't think that the Shinto will do anything to us, it is just for the show that we are not a faction that cannot be underestimated."

"Yes, Master"

"Ah! Medea, Could you tell the other to come here? I want to have a pleasant time with my guardian right now. Tell them if they are busy, they don't need to come here. I'm okay being with one or two of you guys."

"Of course, master."

In the end, all of my guardians come to my office, and we have a great day.

~The next day~

"Is everyone ready?"

"Yes!"

"Medea, please take us away."

"Of course, master."

Medea activated the magic circle where we will arrive in Kyoto, where we will meet Yasaka, the Nine-tailed Kitsune, the Queen of Kyoto, and Youkai. I don't know the reason why Amaterasu herself invited us to her castle, but I know there is something wrong with this.

Anyway, I feel my vision filled with a bright white light, and suddenly we appear in front of a massive gate. Guarding the gate is a dozen Karasu Tengu holding their spear, and I can feel a group of people watching from the thick forest around us.

"We are here to see Amaterasu-dono."

"Ah! Please follow us, estimate guests."

We follow the guard to the palace, and when we arrive at the front door of the palace, we see a beautiful woman waiting for us in front of the door. She is wearing a revealing kimono that shows half of her enormous breasts. What makes her unique is the nine yellow tails that dance behind her. She is Yasaka, the Nine-tailed Kitsune and the Queen of Youkai.

"Welcome to the Sun Palace. My name is Yasaka; I will be the one that leads you to Amaterasu-sama."

"Nice to meet you, Yasaka-dono. My name is Lexian Vongola, the current lord of the Vongola family."

"If you don't mind, please follow me."

We follow Yasaka to the palace garden, where I see there are many of the guests already arrived. I can see Azazel and Baraqiel drinking some wine, and to their side is Serafall Leviathan eating some food while Falbium Asmodeus sleeps on the chair.

It looks like we are not the only one that gets invited to this dinner party. There is also a devil and a fallen angel. I wonder why they get invited here.

"I'm sorry for the long wait. The last guest has arrived. Please wait for a few seconds as I will activate the teleporter to the Takamagahara."

I can feel all the guests here become tense as you never know if what Yasaka says is the truth. It is not guaranteed that Yasaka did not send us to a dungeon or something like that. Even the lazy Falbium has a battle-tested eye of the warrior when Yasaka mentions activating a teleporter.

A few seconds later, the garden lights up, and I cannot see anything. When the light is gone, I see a seven large Torri with a massive palace by the end of the pathway behind the Torri.

We continue to follow Yasaka to the palace, and when we arrive, I see a woman waiting for us. She wears a white and red kimono that also reveals half of her breast like Yasaka. Not only that, but she also has the same face as Yasaka. The only difference is that this woman did not have animal features on her body. She is also wearing a crown with a sun symbol in the middle of the crown.

"Welcome to my palace. My name is Amaterasu. I will be the one that hosts this dinner party. Please enjoy your stay."

I don't know what will happen, but for now, we should enjoy the dinner party.

~Fifteen minutes later~

This is weird.

I look at a rather common dinner party where the Shinto religion's gods come to this party and greet us. There is also Amaterasu and Susanoo greeting the guests one by one, and by the look at it, they will arrive at my table in a few seconds.

True to my prediction, Amaterasu and Susanoo arrive at my table with a bright smile on her face.

"Good Evening, Lexian-dono"

"Good Evening, Amaterasu-dono. What can I do for you on this lovely evening?"

"Nothing, I come here to greet you and your companion and also thank you for coming to my dinner party."

"It is my pleasure to attend this grand party."

"My~Thank you for the compliment. Sadly our presence here is not only to greet you."

Finally, this is the reason why I like Celtic more.

"The reason why this dinner party is happening is that I want to talk to you about something, Lexian-dono."

"Oh?"

"Yes, We wish to join the alliance between you and the Celt."

"... Are you serious about that?"

"Yes. When the devil's news kidnapping the other race and making them a slave, we know that we can't trust them anymore. In the past, we can look away from the nekomata accident as we don't want to create a war between our race, but with this news already spread out across the Youkai population, I know that we cannot ignore this situation. Not only that, with the Devil, Angel and Fallen Angel joining together and creating an alliance, we know that we cannot stay isolated like in the past."

"I see. However, I cannot make the decision myself. I need to discuss this with the Celtic pantheon."

"I know. My only wish is that the Vongola Family will continue having a good relationship with us even when the Celtic faction rejects us to join the alliance."

"I see. So that is what you are aiming for."

Amaterasu's real goal is to join our alliance, but if the celt rejects her request, the Shinto and youkai still have us a semi-alliance faction to rely on. I'm not against it, to be honest. The youkai is an honorable bunch; while some of them are more cunning than a devil itself, most of them will carry their promise to their grave.

"I'm okay with that."

"Thank you, Lexian-dono. We, the Shinto Faction, owe you one."

"It's not a problem. By the way, why do you invite the Devil and the Fallen Angel if you only want to make an alliance with us?"

Instead of her usual kind smile, Amaterasu showed her fangs at me.

"It is time Japan gets controlled by its owner."
