Ch 18-Arrested.

Dumbledore arrived a few moments later with McGonagall.

"Hello Lupin, Mr. Rivers and Harry what was this emergency?"

"Mr. Potter and Mr. Rivers what are you both doing out of your dormitory at this time?" MCGonagall asked.

"See for yourself Professor." Blake said pointing towards a bind figure in a chair.

"MERLIN! That is Peter Pettigrew." McGonagall said with shock, "But Black killed him"

"Well he seems to be breathing fine" Blake said mocking McGonagall.

"Looks like Mr.Black was innocent of killing Peter, Minerva." Dumbledore said emotionless, even seeing Peter didn't surprise him.

"Well we will know whether he is innocent or not soon, we have given Peter Veritaserum lets see what he says. "Blake said nonchalantly.

"Mr.Rivers, use of Veritaserum is illegal and that aside how did you even get it? And Lupin I am disappointed I thought you must have grown up by now, i think i was wrong. "McgonaGall chided.

"You scream too much Professor." Blake said having had enough of Mcgonagall.

"Minerva, considering the gravity of the I think we can let Mr.Rivers use of Veritaserum slide." Dumbledore said.

"See he understands that sometimes means like this are necessary. By the way, Professor can you cast some spell to stop a person from changing to his animagus form?"

Blake said agreeing with Dumbledore's point of view.

"Peter's an unregistered animagus?"asked Mcgonagall while taking out her wand and casting some obscure charm to bind Peter to his Human form.

"He won't be able to change now for some time." said McGonaGall.

"I think Veritaserum has taken effect." Said Harry who was focused on Pettigrew.

"Who are you?" McgonaGall aseed

"Peter Pettigrew" the dazed figured responded.

"I had to confirm it was Peter and not someone using Polyjuice" Minerva replied.

"Smart" said Blake clearly agreeing that McGonagall's question was important.

"Who was JAMES AND LILY POTTER'S SECRET KEEPER?" Dumbledore asked directly cutting to the chase.

"I was" Peter said.

McGonagall Gasped, Lupin almost fell his legs giving way.

"Who Betrayed my Parents:?" Harry asked choking

"I did" Pettigrew Replied.

"Why? You were their friend and you betrayed them why?" Harry asked with broken voice

"I finally served some purpose, I was The Dark Lord's spy in the Order but i was worth nothing, suddenly when I was made the secret keeper I was worth something so I went to Dark Lord and told him of the location the very day they casted Fidelius."

"We would have died for you and you betrayed us so easily!!" Said Lupin choking and pointing his wand at Peter

"Lupin control yourself."said McgonaGall

"Professor you are better than that." Blake said, "So why frame Siruis?"

"Why not? he was the only one alive who knew that I was the secret keeper, heck he suggested that, and when he found Potter's dead he knew I was responsible so he came after me, he would have killed me, so I did what I had to." Peter replied.

"Sirius is innocent, 12 years in Azkaban for crimes he didn't even commit." Said Mcgonagall with shoulder slumped.

"Well, Minerva considering what has come to light, could you go and call the Aurors? and Amelia Bones? I think Azkaban has a new addition." Dumbledore said.

"Certainly." Said Minerva while leaving to contact the Auror.

{10 minutes later}

4 Aurors along with Amelia Bone came.

"Waoh th Aurors are certainly faster than muggle police" Blake commented causing heads to turn towards him which ignored him in the next second.

"I hope whatever you called me for is Important, Dumbledore."said Amelia

"Well seeing a dead man walking is pretty important i think." Said Blake cheekily.

"And who are you?" Amelia asked raising an eyebrow.

"Blake Rivers at your service" Said Blake.

"So Mr.Rivers who is this dead man walking?" Amelia asked

"See for yourself" Said Blake pointing at a figure siiting on a chair.

Expresssion of shock were evident on the faces of the Aurors and Amelia.

"Is that Peter Pettigrew?"said one of the Auror," HE should be death killed by Black, heck he was even awarded the Order of Merlin first class for it."

"Well you can confirm all your doubts he is already under Veritaserum, so he will be pretty honest." Blake said.

"Use of Veritaserum outside trial is illegal" said Bones while looking at Blake.

"Well i don't think there is any law about use of Veritaserum on dead people? If there is then go on sue me" Blake said.

"Amelia, Siruis is innocent" said Lupin.

"That that we will find out." said Amelia with some stutter a bit shaken at Lupins comment.

'I feel like I am missing some context here.' Blake thought

The Auror and Amelia then went on to interrogate Peter who gave the same answers as he did to us. Shock was evident on all four of their faces, all of them flabbergasted at how a person who was known as a hero was nothing but a liar and coward and worst of all a betrayer.
