Chapter 6 Like?

Evelyn's POV

"This is your office Ms, I'll always be outside of your office, if you need anything, please let me know" My new assistant white, is not a talkative person. Because since Lucy introduced me to the employees this is the first time she said something to me.

"I'd like a tour of this place, if you don't mind" I said in a lighter tone than usual. I mean we both do not have to be cold, do we? "Please this way, Ms Hill" Nodding her head, my assistant said. She thought, I asked her to give me a tour. But I've different plans I guess.

"What I mean is, I will explore the place myself, you can continue your work, I'll tell you if I need something" I said and give her my most assuring smile.

"Are you sure, Ms Hill?" She asked me while she had a bored expression on her face. I like this girl already, she is not a typical secretary type.

"Yes and please call me Evelyn, you doesn't give me a formal vibe" I said before walking through the hallway, leaving my assistant alone.

"Tristan!! you are suppose to be here by now, where the hell are you?" I yelled on the voice mail. My secretary, had a flight early in the morning, and he should be here by now. But guess what? He's not.

"Easy darling, my ears are bleeding" Tristan joked. He fucking made a joke. I hate him! But wait he hasn't even picked up the call yet, how did I hear him. Suddenly someone tapped my shoulders, there he was!

"Hey darling!" he greeted me in a flirty tone, making me roll my eyes.

Typical Tristan!

"Where were you?" The first thing I asked.

"Gee! I went to book a hotel room for myself, you see I can't hang out with you, with all my luggage with me" He made it look like it was the most obvious thing to do.

"Well now you have to go back to you 'hotel room' and grab your stuff. I already rented an apartment in Lucio's apartment building. We can work there and you can obviously stay there, since I'm staying with Lucy" I said, jigging the apartment keys in front of him, silently praising myself for doing a better job than Tristan.

"Fine! I'll go back now" He said and snatched the keys from my hand before leaving again. I guese I've to go to the location myself. I sighed and walked Inside the building again to grab my wallet and Lucy's car keys. I guess I've to buy a car.

"Are you going somewhere, Ms Hill?" My assistant white, asked. As I walked inside my office, grab my stuff and walked out. "Yes" I answered. I don't like people asking me questions about my whereabouts.

"Can I accompany you?" White asked getting up from her seat, almost ready to come with me. "Since you're the CEO and I, as your assistant, then my job is to assist you, whenever and wherever you go" I raised my eyebrow, silently asking what is she up to.

"Mr Lucio's words, not mine" She quickly said, saving herself, of course. I poked my right cheek with my tongue, pissed at the thought of someone following me.

"Where's Lucio?"

"Photoshoot"

"Call him for me, I want to talk to him now" I said gritted my teeth, she didn't say anything just ran away, to call Lucio I believe. Finally! I took the chance to got out of the building.

Once I was on the road, I opened the map in Lucio's car and filled up the location of the site, I was planning to go. Lucio will be pissed for sure but I don't care, he shouldn't let people tail after me.

"Good" I murmured, looking at the location, not a crowded place, there was just some malls and restaurants around this area, convenient. People would also like a little peaceful place for sure.

"What are you doing here?" I flinched at the sudden voice behind me, and it wasn't Tristan for sure. I turned around to look at the person, he was standing so close to me that I had to took two steps back, before looking at his face. He was Adrian Medici aka Mr freak.

"What are 'you' doing here?" I asked, throwing the question back at him.

"Someone ran away without telling anyone, and I happened to see that person sneaking out" ran away? This is the thing he came up with, seriously? By the way it was the first time, we talked after the cafe thing, yep that time too when Lucy asked me to call him for dinner, but we didn't really talk that time.

It was like I asked and he nodded his head.

"Why does it concerns you? Even if I run or die, that's not your business to look after" I said. And Yep if they say I have no patience, It's true. He rolled his eyes at me. How childish!

"I know you're the girl from the cafe" By that time his smile turned into a smirk, as if he caught me red handed, doing something really bad. I eventually looked at the glasses in my hand. Now I know how. Bloody E.H. written on my custom made glasses.

"You deserved it for being a dick to me"

I said with a duh face. What did he thought I will leave silently after being Insulted. No way in hell.

"I'll pass it aside since I like you" Oh! I got speechless for a second. Pretty Straight forward. That's something new. But liking me? I know I'm gorgeous but this dude has some problem with choosing people to like.

"Oh really? Me too!" I said in a little fake surprised voice. His face lighten up for a second but What I said next made him drop his smile. "I also like myself" I flashed him my brightest fake smile.

Don't get me wrong people, I'm kind and all, that's another thing. In this matter, I'm anything but sweet.

"You will like me too, Evelyn" He called my name in a tone that made me shiver. I regained myself before speaking again.

"You are rejected, Mr Medici. I'm sure you have plenty of time and girls waiting for you, so go behind them. I'm too busy for you" My mood was also gone with me. I'm sure it wouldn't look back at me like how I didn't spare a glance at him again.

I guess it is going to be a long night.
