Chapter two

Author's P.O.V

It's been Five hours since everyone passed out except for one in particular however, Cameron. He walked over to his balcony with a cigarette in hand and a can of beer in the other. He'd slept for a mere hour since he arrived back into his room. Nervousness surround him. He'd played in concerts before and was dubbed the best Drummer in Barbados but however this was a different scale of concerts he'd be playing at. He had an idea to go down to the stage and practice like he always did but getting there would be a problem. He knew Dalla would be sleeping at this moment and thought twice about waking her. He looked over from his side of the balcony over to hers. For some reason the two rooms were connected by the balcony. He believed it was arranged that way for Dalla's safety after all but what he wandered is why she wasn't paired with one of the other women if safety was the issue. He puffed his cigarette and took a swing of his beer. Two bad combinations.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" He heard a voice and turned to see Dalla walking out with a white fluffy robe on. He just shrugs looking away from her and to the view. The few skyscrapers gave a beautiful view of the sea and sand.

"I couldn't sleep." He says honestly. Then he hears another voice from the other balcony door.

"Hey guys." Sherry says yawning as she came out looking over to the two.

"How did you sleep?" Dalla asks her when she takes her eyes from her crush giving Sherry a sweet smile.

"Pretty good actually." Sherry says and stretches the sleep from her muscles. The three stood watching the sunset.

"Should we go see if the others are awake and get something to eat together." Dalla asks looking at both Sherry and Cameron. Sherry nods and then heads inside to get changed into clothes for going out leaving the two on the balcony. Dalla sighs as she watches the last rays of the sun disappear behind the horizon.

"Cig?" Cameron asks her holding the half finished cigarette. She looks at him with a raised brow. He chuckles realizing what he'd done and apologies.

"Even if I was of age in America I still wouldn't have taken it." She says and mumbles something he couldn't quite hear.

"I guess we should get ready for dinner." He says turning and giving Dalla a smile that melts her heart. She waves to him and continue looking at the darkening sky as he returns to his room. Cameron takes a shower, muscles begging for sleep he knew wouldn't come. He'd always suffered from insomnia. He was just hoping that tonight of all nights he wouldn't be plagued with no sleep. He tugged on a grey shirt, a black hoodie and blue skinny jeans. Shoving his phone and wallet in his pocket he stepped out to see Dallas stepping out as well.

She had her favourite red hoodie on and a white and black lined shirt underneath with shorts. Sherry soon came out also and knocked on the others door to see if they were ready. They'd created a group chat among themselves before leaving for the airport. Dallas and the band mates walked to the elevator and the twelve of them split into two groups and taking two of the four elevators available. They could all fit into to one but Dalla insisted they spilt because of her fear of too much weight in the lift. The door pang and they all file into the lobby one elevator slightly slower than the next.

They stood outside the hotel and waited for their bus to come. When it did they loaded in, glad for the extra space their equipment and instruments weren't taking up. They instructed the driver to take them to McDonalds all agreeing on the place. Dalla in particular couldn't wait to sink her teeth in a nice juicey big Mac. Within twenty minutes they arrived and they all went in finding a table that could seat them all dragging chairs for those who had none. They sent the guitarist Andrew to place their orders for food and Lia his wife a back up singer for the drinks. They both came back quite quick as the place wasn't crowded and the workers worked quickly. Dalla sinks her teeth into her burger and chews, the taste melting in her mouth. The rest of the members soon begin to talk about the concert and she begins to feel left out. Her burger is gone quickly and soon the other's conversation went on to other matters again leaving Dalla feeling left out. She excused herself and went to the bus to wait. She plugged her earphones into her phone and leaned back into the seat, Jon wick fast asleep at his own seat. He'd assured the band that his wife fed him before he came to pick them up when they offered to him to eat with them. She smiled as her favorite song Jikjin by Treasure came on. Dalla didn't realize when she'd fallen asleep but was startled when the others had woken her up to tell her they were back at the hotel. Dalla rubbed her eyes and got up yawning. She followed the others into the elevator this time they all packed in one. Dallas was too sleepy to care about the weight causing them to fall.

When the elevator arrived at their floor they all broke away and began walking to their individual rooms light conversations were still being held. Dallas took out her key and opened her door wanting to just collapse on the bed when her phone rings. She quickly answers and the face of her mother, father and brother pop up on the screen.

"How are you doing?" Her mother asks and she smiles telling her I'm fine. Her father is next to ask a question.

"How was the flight?" he asks and Dalla finds a smile creeping up to her face remembering how she held hands with Cameron the entire flight.

"It was fun." She says although she fell asleep for most of it.

"You were asleep weren't you?" her brother asks this time. She nods sheepishly causing him to give a knowing smile.

"Well you have a big day tomorrow so we'll let you get some rest, don't forget to call as often as you can" Her mother says. She says a short yes and wishes them goodnight as she places her phone to charge and plop onto the bed floating away into peaceful sleep.

Cameron however like the night owl he was tossed and turned in his bed. He was tired but sleep wouldn't come. He decided to go out on the balcony. The moon on his face light up his jaw as he puffed a cigarette the fourth one he'd had today. He looked over into Dalla's room to see her sleeping peacefully. He chuckle at her lack of effort to change. He hadn't noticed a smile on his face as he watched her, wishing he could get to sleep as effortlessly as she could. He takes a seat on the floor puffing his cigarette making a ring with the smoke. He stayed in the position for the whole night and soon went into his bedroom and sat on his bed his mind blank as he just stared out at the rising sun.
