Chapter 10: Burning Calories

As soon as the clock struck six o'clock in the morning. Luo Yuan opened his eyes. The sunlight shone luminously blinds and landed squarely on his face.

He rubbed his eyes and sat up on the bed. He stretched his arms and yawned. Getting out of bed, he put his feet in slippers and walked towards the bathroom.

He quickly washed his face and brushed his teeth before coming out of the bathroom. He then walked towards the nightstand where his glasses were resting and slipped the frames over his nose.

After doing this, he walked into his closet and picked up his black tracksuit. As he wore his tracksuit, he heard his phone ringing on the nightstand. Taking his phone from the nightstand, he answered the call and put it on speaker.

"Good Morning Mr. Luo," Muchen greeted him.

"Morning," Luo Yuan replied while adjusting his tracksuit in front of the mirror.

"The materials have arrived. Will you check them by yourself or should I check them?" Muchen said politely.

"Check it yourself, and give me a report before the meeting starts," Luo Yuan replied, moving towards the nightstand to hang up the call.

"Mr. Luo, I have sent you the information about Li Xia that you asked for," Muchen said after a short pause.

Hearing her name, his mind drifted toward last night. He frowned slightly. He remembered the feeling he had when the girl kissed him. Luo Yuan shook his head in an attempt to get rid of those thoughts.

He just hung up the call with Muchen and took his AirPods that were resting beside his phone. He plugged the AirPods in his ear and put his phone in his pocket and went out of his apartment for a jog.

It was 6:15 when Li Xia woke up. Today our sleeping beauty thought of going for a jog to burn some calories, as she has a shoot today. She got out of bed. Walking towards the window, she opened the curtains.

Her mood lightened immediately after seeing the sun gleaming radiantly through the window. She sighed happily as she marveled at the view. It was a peaceful morning. She then headed towards the bathroom and washed her face. When she finished washing her face, she dried it with a towel and brushed her teeth. After brushing her teeth, she put on her tracksuit and pulled her long hair into a ponytail. She then walked towards her nightstand where her glasses sat.

She took the glasses and slid them on her eyes. Looking in the mirror, she looked at her reflection. She doesn't usually use her glasses but she didn't see the harm in using them today. She usually applies make-up whenever she goes out but not right now as she was going out jogging, not for a shoot. She then came out of her apartment, her eyes fell on the door of the apartment that was in front of her.

"It seems like someone has started living here," she mumbled. Ignoring it she continued her jog. Once she reached the park, she decided to take out her phone to click a picture of the view of the beautiful sky where the white delicate cloud sailed in the blue sky. She looked at the picture and uploaded it on her Weibo with a quote.

It says: "Everything in life is beautiful when we are free to enjoy every moment."

She then proceeded to walk towards the track field. There were many people already there. Some were running around, others were stretching their legs, but there were a few people who were taking advantage of the warm weather to run their laps.

Some were old men sitting on the benches, and some adults, women, and men were jogging before leaving for their busy schedules. Some couples were lying lazily on the benches, enjoying each other's company after jogging as it was still early in the morning.

Exercising and burning calories in summer is difficult because it requires a lot of stamina. However, after a good workout, one feels rejuvenated.

Li Xia continued her jogging for 5 minutes on the track. Her lungs were screaming for oxygen and her muscles felt stiff. For a lazy person like her, it was difficult to run for more than 5 minutes.

She finally stopped after completing five laps of the track field.

Li Xia was panting heavily as she slowed down her pace of running. She leaned against the huge tree at the side of the track and wiped the sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand.

She slowly pushed herself off the tree and straightened her posture. Looking forward to continuing her jog, her eyes widened when she saw a familiar figure jogging toward the middle of the track. Her heart skipped a beat, her hands were covered in sweat. She couldn't believe her eyes.

"Shit! What is he doing here? Is he seriously jogging here too?" Li Xia panicked as she frantically turned around.
