Episode 14

Bullets ripped through the air as the fight between Oracle and Jayden and the others was underway. Devin jumped into the air and struck the ground with his fist sending a shockwave towards a group of Oracle operatives sending them flying through the air. "That's right! Shoot at me? Y'all done fucked up!" Devin shouted. Vere ran up to Devin patting him on the shoulder, "Don't get too excited," he said, "We haven't even used out Embodiment Orbs yet." Devin laughed, "With the way things are going, we may not need to," he replied. An explosion erupted behind them as an armored Oracle tank rolled over the hill in front of them. "Well, wasn't expecting that," Devin said. Vere laughed and grabbed his orb, "LOKI!" He shouted. "I'm finally getting some action?" Loki asked as the orb erupted with green light. Vere's body was consumed by green flowing energy as his body was encased in green and gold armor and his face was covered by a helmet, gold armored wings sprouted from his back and he sprung into the air. "Alright, my turn now," Vere said, "AEROSPLITTER!"a blast of green wind erupted from Vere's hand and surged towards the tank. The tank lifted into the air and Vere charged a blast of yellow energy in his hand and threw it at the tank. The blast penetrated through the tank causing a massive explosion and debris fell to the ground. Devin glared at Vere, "Yeah..don't get too excited my ass," he said. Vere shrugged, "What? Couldn't let you have all the fun," he replied. Meanwhile, Jayden and Yuki fought the incoming assault of Oracle operatives as they fired at their position. "Jayden, you need to conserve your strength for Ben, let me and Hime handle this," Yuki said. "But..." Jayden began. Yuki smiled, "No arguing," she said as she stood to her feet, "LET'S GO HIME!" "RIGHT!" Hime replied. Yuki's red orb ignited and red flames erupted around her as her body became wrapped in a red and white kimono and her hair looked as though flames were streaming from the tips and two fans covered in red flames appeared in her hands. "PHOENIX WINGBEAT!" Yuki shouted as the flames around her soared into the sky and formed into a massive bird. The Oracle operatives panicked and ran towards the facility, but the fiery bird dived down and engulfed the operatives before exploding on the ground. Jayden stood amazed, "Yeah...don't piss her off," Anubis grumbled. Jayden nodded and walked towards Yuki, "Find Ben and finish this," she said, "I'll meet up with The others and we will keep the operatives busy." Jayden nodded and ran down the path towards the facility. Up ahead, Martin, and Mikiu fought their way through the Oracle operatives, "Just like old times eh?" Martin asked as he drove his fist into an operative sending him flying into a rock. Mikiu smiled, "Yep just like old times," she replied as she kicked an operative into the air and slammed her foot into his face. The Sentinels around them fired back at the Oracle operatives as they attempted to enter the facility. Jayden ran up to the Sentinels, "What's the status?" Jayden asked. "We've lost six operatives, but we are holding our own, Captain Briggs made it inside the facility so we are waiting on confirmation to bring into demo charges and place them," One of the Sentinels replied. Jayden nodded, "I'm going in then," he said. "Good luck! We will keep this area covered," the Sentinel said. Jayden waved as he ran down the hall into the Oracle facility. "Do you have a plan?" Anubis asked. Jayden nodded, "Find Ben...and end this," he replied. Meanwhile, ahead in the command center a man sat facing Captain Briggs. Ben stood intently and glared at Briggs. "Captain, I'm so happy you've come this far...are you doing well?" The man asked, his cold blue eyes fixated on Captain Briggs. Captain Briggs trembled as he aimed his pistol at the man. Ben went to move forward but the man stopped him, "You'll get your chance to fight, but as for him he's not a threat...in fact if he knows what is good for him he will stop pointing that thing at me," the man said with a smile. "You bastard...you have my family," Captain Briggs said. "That's correct, and you may have brought the Vessels to me, however, your job here isn't finished yet," the man said. Ben turned and handed a gun case to Captain Briggs. "What is this?" Captain Briggs asked. The man smiled, "Just an experiment that we have been working on here, you see I want you to test how effective that weapon is against a Vessel," the man replied. Captain Briggs swallowed and opened the case. A long rifle appeared, but it wasn't any ordinary rifle, it seemed different. "What the hell is this?" Captain Briggs asked. "I have engineered the power of the Elementals we have hunted over the last century and converted their power into a weapon strong enough to take down a Vessel...or so I hope," the man replied, "I want you to test this and confirm my theory." Captain Briggs took the rifle and cocked it, "And if I do this....my family?" He asked. "They'll be let go...." The man replied. Captain Briggs nodded and ran through the hatch. "As for you," the man turned to Ben, "I expect you to finish what you failed to do last time, kill that Vessel and bring me his power," he said. Ben nodded, "I won't fail you," he replied.
