New Neighbor *A.J.*

I looked out my window and saw a girl I've never seen. She was slim and tall. She was helping out the Malory kids, Collie and Mason Malory. My dad wasn't home from work, so I got the welcoming basket my dad and I made and walked to the neighbor's house.

I knocked on the door and a short, black haired girl opened the door.

"Hello." she said with a warm smile.

"Hi. I live in that house over there. "

"I'm Roxanne. Would you like to come in? " she said as she grabbed the wicker basket full of candies, flowers, and small presents.

I walked into her house and she began to speak in a foreign language.

" мама.я принес кто - то в доме." she said as a red haired woman walked over to me. She cleared her throat and began to speak,

"Hello, my name is Markov, my husband is Colin and my daughter is Roxanne. " she had a Russian accent so I assumed she was Russian and why Roxanne was speaking a different language.

"Hello, miss. I'm A.J."

Markov examined the basket. She picked up a box of candies and a white tulip. She stuck it in my hair and braided it into my hair. She smiled and clapped.

"That's looks beautiful! " she said with a smile.

"Markov? " a male voice said in the distance.

Markov got up and ran to the stairs, she disappeared immediately after.

"Don't mind them. " Roxanne said. " Wanna go to my room? "

Her blue eyes glistened like an anime girl's. I nodded and she signaled me to follow her. She opened a door with an 'R' on it and led me inside.

"Where are you guys from? " I asked her as she sat by me on a beanbag.

"Russia, Moscow. " she said.

I saw a few shelves covered in books.

"Do you like manga? "

"I'll read anything, but I do have some mangas in here. " she grabbed a box of manga called Parfait Girls.

"Can I borrow them?! " I asked as I began to hyperventilate.

"Sure! " Roxanne said as she handed me the box.
