Bad Karma

Maxixe was the current Bannik. 

It was an honor or a curse depending on one's viewpoint, a unique trait passed down through the bloodline. 

For many it was a dormant trait but for those like Maxixe it was an awakening. 

As a Fairy with unique powers he was revered and also resented. 

He had shapeshifting abilities and could appear as a familiar face to someone unsuspecting.

Just like most fairies with the exception of dwarves his major weakness was iron.

He could tolerate other metals in lesser amounts but was especially vulnerable to cast iron. 

Nowadays there wasn't much use for the Bannik as most humans were forgetting the old customs which Maxixe didn't mind at all. 

Every now and then he would get a summons from some mortal who still practiced the old traditions. 

A few still clung to the old ways, believing in him, fearing him and coming up with new ways to placate the Bloodthirsty Fairy.
