Vol. 5 - Chapter 51

Ash didn't think there would be day and night cycles in this world, but she'd been wrong. 

Above, the sky was darkening, but just turning black completely. Instead, the swirl of colors slowly welcomed a permanent fix of dark blue and purple, and suddenly, the entire world was covered in a haze of those colors. Her eyes tried to adjust to it, as Lumina lobbed an offer. 

"You can rest for a moment if you wish," the goddess said. 

"Nah, I'm good," Ash quickly replied. 

Even if she wanted to, she wouldn't. Her current surroundings only served to make her much more cautious than normal. The dark, almost foggy, area. The way she swore she could hear twigs cracking around her, as though some unseen stalker was making little mistakes here and there, made the hairs on her arms stand up and sent chills through her spine. 

... Really missing how strong I was right now,  she thought.  I mean, any moment now, I feel like something could-
