Chapter 011: Limitless Potential.

Emma Frost finished reading the first three books of Harry Potter that Luke had published, Sharon Carter decided to start her own investment firm with Luke as the first client after she was suppressed and discriminated against in her previous firm.

With Luke's help, Sharon had managed to launch her own Investment firm known as 'Carter Investments.LLC'. He owned only 30% of its shares as he didn't want to be that involved in the management of this particular industry.

Luke had given her a fund of 58 million dollars aside from the initial investment cost of 2 million dollars.

Luke also implemented a bold idea, instead of recruiting potential humans with liability when it comes to loyalty. He used his IPs to summon 10 B rank T-800 as Support staff, 6 B Rank T-1000 as Investment Professional and 2 A rank Terminatrix or TX as CFO and COO

Luke wouldn't have done this but after Moira had upgraded herself, she sold Identify Cards in the newly improvised system store, which if used before summoning a character would make a real identity for them as if they always existed.

He also opted to pick B rank as he learned from Travis the first T+800 he summoned, It was the rank where robotic species like the Terminators gained a semblance of Sentience thus they would be able to act more human.

Luke also wasn't worried about their loyalty as most of them had the [Dead Loyal] mark, which meant they were loyal to the point they would rather die than harm or disobey him.

He did worry somewhat since the A ranks were some points away from that Mark. But Moira assured him even if they were mortal enemies with him, they would never kill him.

Thankfully they quickly also reached [Dead Loyal] Mark as Luke didn't treat them badly. Moira also told him The Loyalty point difference was due to the Gap between their current rank. The further the gap the less loyal they would be.

That did cause Luke to be alarmed, so he started grinding exp even more until eventually after exactly 1 year he managed to reach level 39 in September,1982.

That was due Luke's System which was drastically different from Sung Jin woo despite using it as a blueprint for Moira's upgrade. While they both received exp and quests but he only gained them via completing quests he himself imposed even then it was a very low amount as his quests didn't have any danger to it.

Luke's initial plan was to publish 'That time I got reincarnated as a slime' or now known as 'Saga of Rimuru Tempest' so he could visit it using a franchise key and earn a lot of exp, which he did in January, 1982.

But… because of his own habit to improvise the story and the power scaling part of it, He both balanced the power system in Tensura but also made it accidentally scale upto the highest ranking he has encountered thus far. Which was Multiversal level or XxX Rank.

Luke then spended the second and third year in Hogwarts as he asked for stricter and dangerous quests in order to earn a lot of exp and finally he was a few exp away from lvl 40 where he would receive a class quest and become B rank.

Luke mused as he thought 'Issue the Jin woo workout as a quest, Might as well use it for the last few exps'

Thus after doing 100 pushups, 100 Sit-ups, 100 squats and running for 10 kilometers without sweating the quest was completed.

Luke stared at it with a smile but he didn't immediately accept it, instead he opened the store and started buying a lot of things such as potions, weapons, equipment.

Afterwards he strategically upgraded all the skills he had as much as he could. Then he spends 10 million IPs to spin the random character card wheel

He wasn't expecting any miracle but…

His main weakness was his close combat while he was physically very strong now and knew many combat skills thanks to John Cameron from the terminator series. But most of them required either guns, using his hands to fight and finally they were aimed to be survival skills.

Thus this came at the perfect time, He had illustrated Gobta to be one of the best when it came to swordsmanship and other such combat skills that also used magic.

Luke after making sure he was ready and nobody would disturb him decided to accept the quest. Which immediately caused the whole world to seemingly come to a halt as for the first time his actual body got transferred inside a pocket dimension.

That unfortunately also attracted some peculiar time sensitive beings.

A bald headed man curiously looked at his surroundings that appeared colorless as a locket on his neck shone in bright green light. 'Interesting… even the time stone seems to be affected by it… as if someone is using the infinity stones… No. something even more powerful.:

Another bald headed man but with pure cosmic-like eyes looked at the prism that kept vibrating as if it would break at any moment. He muttered "The time will be chaotic again…" as The prism showed a dice with six sides each in a different color.

A beautiful lady scanned the surroundings through her blue eyes, the world appeared colorless to her yet she could move without any restraints as if time itself was her bitch.

Her blue eyes mysteriously turned a shade of glowing green as she thought 'Hmm, troublesome, his future is constantly changing… and I can feel a sense of oppression the more I try to pry into his future…' Then as if enlightened she continued 'Wait… Perhaps… hmm yeah it makes sense… nobody else is similar to him.'

She lazily looked at the frozen clock from her throne, she let out a grumbled 'Why at the last second.' then her whole body shone a shade of green as time seemed to unfreeze soon the clock showed [00:00:03, 1st of January, 3100]

'Huff… that felt harder than usual' She thought as the time almost immediately froze once more. 'That just confirms he is the one… he has access to possibly all six of it.'

She cracked her neck as she thought 'I guess it's time to become the big bad villain, After all… I am still destined to change him. Whether he likes it or not.'

'But I will let him enjoy a few more years… He can enjoy his childhood while it lasts. I don't want to fight another me..' She thought lazily then she grumbled 'How long is this gonna stay frozen though, I was just about to grab some snacks… Oh wait… I can still do everything normally.' the corner of her mouth twitched

She stood up and moved to the door which didn't open due to frozen time, thus she lazily phased through 'I feel rusty after not doing that for a long time.'

Luke opened his eyes as he saw an apocalyptic scenario of Manhattan, everywhere he looked there were broken buildings and fallen debris.

'Interesting… I also feel different.' Luke thought as he felt his body.

[This is your actual body inside the pocket dimension. Be careful though you can only revive 3 times per day]

Luke raised his eyebrow, the quest only warned him that he would be stuck inside here until he surrenders or clears all enemies. Then a notification popped up.

[The first wave shall arrive in 10 minutes, Please prepare yourself and find a possible defense area.] As a small hourglass that showered a countdown appeared.

Luke quickly casted some spells to boost his speed and agility then he searched the area until he spotted a supermarket, he quickly jumped into the roof as only a minute was left.

Just as It hit 00:00:00, Blue portals started appearing all over the place as batches of C-Rank T-800 holding machine guns, Wolves and Goblins walked out of these portals.

[Good luck! please eliminate all 100 enemies as fast as you can, there is no time limit.]

Bullets grazed the shield he had casted. Luke casted a spell that caused erosion and rust to appear on a batch of T-800 as they gradually crumbled into dust.

'Ah I missed that…' Luke bemused nostalgically as he quickly focused on eliminating all the enemies and within 10 minutes he managed to do it. He was already level 46 by the end of thus becoming B rank.

[Ding! Congratulations on surviving the first wave. You have 10 minutes before the second wave starts.]

'That seemed easy… but it's probably because it's the first wave… either way this is a very good place to grind exp' Luke Cunningly thought as he chugged down some mana restoration potions.

In the next wave there were 250 enemies and among them there were 3 B ranks. He managed to clear it within 20 minutes and reached level 51 Thus becoming A rank.

The third wave there were 500 enemies and there were even more B ranks among them. Luke struggled somewhat this time due to the sheer Quality but managed to finish them within 35 Minutes, Reaching lvl 55.

Luke also did notice the bodies of his enemies didn't disappear, which gave him an interesting idea.

He quickly spended his IPs to buy T-5000 Or known as Skynet's Character card. Then He learned It's O rank ability to turn any being into a terminator just by a mere touch.

Luke touched a nearly Hobgoblin corpse and a pop up appeared [Would you like to use your ability <Mech touch> on target?] Luke smirked as he clicked confirm which immediately caused the corpse to decompose as it seemed to go through a fusion and soon the first T-Hobgoblin Appeared. Its rank was B rank.

Who immediately knelt down and waited for orders "I await your command. Supreme Authority."

To Luke this was familiar as this was how Travis the T-800 he summoned addressed and behaved when it was first summoned.

Luke quickly started touching nearly corpses as they gradually turned into T-HobGoblin and T-DireWolve. He did try touching the terminators but there was no response. Eventually before the fourth wave he had managed to turn more than 250 Corpses into his own legion of army.

He did feel relief because the enemy counter went upto 1,000. Which wouldn't have been an issue aside from exhausting him but… he noticed there were wizards among them and all of them seemed to be B rank.

After close to 35 minutes, Luke with the help of his army managed to clear the wave with only around 23 casualties. He had also leveled up to 63.

Thanks to his army, his process of turning the corpses into Terminators was faster, before the Fifth wave began he had around 569 which included the wizards.

He was once again thankful he did as the Fifth wave spawned 2,500 enemies, 90% of them were B rank and there was even an S rank Ogre as the boss among them.

The supermarket had become a strategic defense base as they successfully repelled attack after attack. Just as Luke felt comfortable, Disaster struck.

He saw with his own eyes How Powerful An S rank truly is, It easily mauled through many of his B rank soldiers. Luke quickly moved as he grabbed the Ogre's aggro on himself by targeting it.

His speed was very fast yet it was as if an ordinary teenager was racing against usain bolt, He struggled yet his danger sense helped him greatly.

His battle with the ogre lasted more than 30 minutes but he eventually managed to come up on top due to his size. Luke released heavy huffs as he looked at the ogre corpse in front of him. He touched it yet unexpectedly a message popped up [Ding! Ability <Mech Touch> failed! As you are very weak compared to target.]

'Bullshit' Luke grumbled as he drank a health potion. But he didn't feel bad as he was lvl 72, Just a few levels away from S rank as well. 'I wonder what will happen when I reach it…? There seems to be a very wide gap between an A rank and an S rank…'

It took Luke more than an hour for the first time to clear a wave. Thankfully due to this being a boss wave. They got a 3 hour break.

Luke used that time to touch as many corpses as he could, he also used the Terminators to scout the areas and Luckily they found a more secure place to use as their new base. An IKEA Store.

Luke stared at the system screen as the timer hit 00:00:00, Soon The sixth wave began as a large number of portals opened up as 2,500 different enemies, Most of them were A rank. Came out. Thankfully or perhaps it was unfortunate, there were 3 S rank among them now.

'This is gonna be one tough battle….' Luke growned, yet he stealthily killed some enemies to level up.

Just as he reached level 76, He felt his body going through a significant change. He felt it to the very molecules of his body and soul But so did the enemies.

The three S rank had a serious look on their face as they looked at the Ikea store in the distance which was exuding a golden hue towards the sky as the clouds churned and became darker as if to celebrate the birth of a new monster.

Luke's eyes released a spark for the first time as he looked at his surroundings, he could see everything more clearly, time seemed to be slower for him. He stood up casually as he muttered 'Is this what Saitama felt when he broke his limiter?'

He curiously looked around as he casually walked into the battlefield. The enemies, even the A ranks, felt as if they were swimming through deep water. Very sluggish and slow.

He casually punched one of the A rank as he saw a gaping hole slowly form within their body yet it didn't stop as the enemies behind it also were affected.

Luke smiled as he thought 'This is Power.' as he casually harvested his enemies as if he was a farmer walking Through his crop field.

Within 10 minutes, Luke had killed every enemy. Even the S ranks. His level also reached 84.

Even among S ranks there were disparities, Levels, Stats, Skills. Not everyone has a system like Luke which helped him become stronger and gave him Limitless Potential. But He was limited by his own circumstances and morals.

The break they received this time was again 3 hours long. Luke used that time to easily harvest and turn all the corpses into Terminators, Even the S ranks he wasn't able to before.

In total he had 4 S rank, close to 2000 A ranks and 2500 B ranks.

The seventh, Eight and Ninth waves were somewhat easy for Luke as the numbers seemed to cap at 2500 enemies each time just the quality changed somewhat. As the last wave had more S ranks. Which helped him reach lvl 98, a few levels away from O rank.

Yet the tenth wave was different as it was a boss wave. 5,000 enemies came out all being S rank and the one leading them was an O rank yet Luke was surprised since he was familiar with this person he confusedly said "Shion? Huh?"

Indeed The boss this time was Shion, The Infamous self proclaimed assistant of Rimuru. Yet her eyes appeared cold and robotic.
