Meeting the Future World

The world is divided into two continents: The Holy Empire and the Dark Continent.

Both continent are always at friction with each other igniting an annual war between the two. The Holy Empire possess magic that comes to the Angles, as we, at the Dark Continent get out power from the Demons we contacted.

With those opposing power, it is safe to say that the two are each other's natural enemy.

The Holy Empire wants to eradicate Demons, and we who just wanted to leisurely have fun with our lives. Though, we are all troublemakers, so it's understandable.

And now, we're currently in the border of two continents having a war. You can definitely hear powerful explosion even you're hundreds of kilometers away.

My name is Kaiser, 24 years old, and I'm contracted to a Blood Demon.

Kaiser looks like a teenager, he has dark skin, silver hair, and his eyes covered with a bandage.

He's blind, but among all of his peers, he's one of the people who has powerful senses; both in magic and surroundings.

He' has a great physique, agility and battle prowess. At such a young age, he's already a Captain Rank within the army.

"Hey, Kaiser, I think Leo needs some help."

"Roger." Kaiser immediately rush toward to his friend who is having a hard time fighting a Captain Rank from the Holy Empire.

Leo who is in his form as a bipedal lion monster with sharp claws, and twice larger than a normal human. Though, Leo's body is full of cuts and drenched in blood due to the fight. Even though he's a Captain Rank too, it is not his style to fight someone with great speed and has a weapon.

"Damn... that's painful!" Leo groans.

"You shall be exterminated in this land, you demons!"

Leo's fighting a Captain Rank that has a silver fit clothing, similar to a rouge outfit. The opponent is carrying a white dagger that has a symbol of yellow lightning.

His name is Ren, he posses that power of an Angel that controls lightning. With its speed and firepower, Leo's strength is not match for it.

It's definitely a bad match up.

Both of them senses someone is running towards them but when they look to their side, no one was there but knights killing each other.

Until, they heard a voice from above.

"Wow, Leo, you look like a loser! Hahaha, you're girlfriend would laugh at you if she sees you like that."

Boom! Kaiser coming from above swings his sword towards the position of the Ren, but the former dodge the attack.

Boom! A cloud of dust forms as the impact of the katana-like weapon hits the ground.

"I'll kill you Kaiser if you tell her that!"

"Oh no, no, I'm just joking. Hahaha!"

Both of them are talking like they are not inside of a war. They look like a friend that sees each other somewhere in the park or something.

However, that only last for a few seconds as a something flash before their eyes and blasts towards them.

It's a lighting strike dyed in yellow. An attack coming from the Ren using his magic. However, the attack was easily divided into two with a single vertical slash of Kaiser's blade.

He slashed it like it was nothing. After the attack, it leaves a lightning trail behind them, but no one minded that.

Then, Ren speaks about Kaiser.

"Kaiser, The Blood Emperor of the Demon Continent. It's a pleasure to meet such a famous individual."

"Yep, nice to meet you." Kaiser replied whimsically.

Ren nevermind that reply, but still continues his talk.

"Kaiser, you are considered as one of the most dangerous person in the Demon Army due to you resourcefulness, unpredictability, whimsical attitude, and most importantly, that dangerous power. I bet if I manage to kill you I'll get a promotion in the military."

Kaiser looks at him followed by a sarcastic clap and a mischievous smile.

"Oh my, I didn't know that I was famous in the Holy Empire, would like my autograph?" Kaiser said as signs a piece of paper using a marker.

Leo looks at him and ponders, 'where did he even get that?'

Nonetheless, Ren is a serious individual, you can definitely see that in his hero-like face.

Ren takes into position, with his two dagger, some sparks appears around him. Even Kaiser and Leo can sense that.

"He's doing something." Leo announced.

Ren's body is shining in bright yello, his pupils disappear but his eyes shines. Ren seems like he's charging some ridiculous amount of energy to focus on killing Kaiser.

Kaiser carefully observed him by sensing the flow of energy in the atmosphere. "What is this energy? It's both calm yet ranging." Kaiser implied.

Then, all of a sudden, his eyes widens and he kicks Leo to the other side. With Leo being unaware of that action, a ultra fast lightning strike zooms between and past at them.

With great senses of Kaiser, he manage to sense that. And so, he protected Leo and himself with that kind of attack.

Kaiser look at the attack and it is not the previous lightning strike that Ren casted. Instead, Ren becomes the lightning strike itself.

"Wonderful, I read some reports that your senses are so fast to react, to think that you anticipated this makes me believe that you're not a Captain Rank. Now then, I will show you my true power! This is the power that the Angles has lend us to eradicate you, Demons."

Hearing that, Ren expected Kaiser to feel worry. However, Kaiser gives a wide smile both with excitement and whimsical expression.

"Wow, this is exciting, I'm going to love it! Go on, come at me." His words and tone are full of excitement, as if he's waiting for this kind of sensation in all of his life.

Both Ren and Kaiser disappear from their position as if they teleported but they're just moving so fast. They clash their blades as as soon as it meet... BOOM! An explanation occurs.

Even with the explosion, none of the two seems to stops, to run to the other side and clash again and again. Both of them are enjoying the fight using their speed, technique and experience.

Boom! Boom!

Slash! Slash!

The two didn't think about the devastating effect of their clash and just only mind each other. Leo can see that their skills are match, a perfectly suited warrior to fight each other.

"Kaiser seems to be enjoying. He'll get angry if I intervene. Well, I'll just move to the other side." Considering his friends emotion about the fight. Leo jumped off from his spot to move to the other side of the battle field. His jump is incredibly power that it created a crater on the ground. It made him even flew more than 30 meters in height.

Their fight devastate the land below them, both of their battle instinct and prowess are incredibly skillful that makes them evenly match. But that is on the third POV'S view, to them, Ren specifically, can sense that Kaiser has the upper hand.

'Even with this power, I still can't beat him?! Just like the report says, he's probably on the same level of a Commander. The title of Blood Emperor really suits him. No matter, I will use my power to destroy this evil continent!'

Ren is moving as fast as lightning but Kaiser can still keep up with his movements. Though in Kaiser's mind, he's also having a hard time.

'Thanks to my physical prowess and keen senses I can barely keep up. I need to finish early.'

Clash! Clash!

Both of them swings their sword and dagger at the same time where sparks are flying everywhere.

Boom!

Ren fires a lightning strike but Kaiser deflected it by covering his sword with energy.

Sigh

They both exhale and sharpens their sight. Kaiser's mind thinks that he shouldn't drag the the battle any longer.

' I need to end this now. There's still people in the Empire that I would like to fight so dragging this fight any longer would drain most of my stamina.'

Kaisers takes into position. He tightly grips his sword, Ren closely look at it and sees that the sword starts to bleed heavily..

"So you're going to take it seriously now, huh? Fine by me!"

"Of course, I heard about that prodigy Adam in your Empire, I'm hoping to fight him."

"So you've heard of him? I agree that he's a prodigy but the Emperor decided not to make him part of this war. He needs more training."

"Heh..? That's a bit sad. Huhu, I guess I just need to kill you first and then fight an even more powerful person to fight or should I just invade your capital? What do you think?"

Hearing that Ren got furious. A demon entering the Empire is a disrespect towards the Holy power.

Ren charges toward to Kaiser, filling his body with lightning energy, his speed greatly increases.

However, Kaiser is expecting that. He swings his blade and a large crescent slash made from blood appear trying to intercepts Ren.

Ren covers his daggers with lightning and slash through it, but that attack of Kaiser us just a diversion. Without even sensing or anticipating Kaiser's movement, a blade swings at his side that chops his right ear.

"What? When did he?"

Kaiser is at the other side smiling at him.

"Wow I can't believe that you fall for that. Are you really a Captain Rank? Did you get your position based on connection or money? That's laughable." Kaiser continues his provocation.

Ren is getting even more angrier. His veins in the forehead enlarges and his face is fuming in anger.

"Shut up! You don't know anything about me!"

Ren tries to rush but Kaiser got ahead of him, and slashing his chest.

"Argh!" Ren vomits some blood. "Not yet! You Demons will not win this war. If he arrives, you will all die here!"

"So someone is arriving, that interesting. But are you really sure that you're not going to mind that wound? It seems you haven't noticed it yet but your flesh are dying now."

Ren look and he finally realize that the wounds inflicted by Kaiser are all burning by some kind of acids. And finally he fells the pain.

"ARGHHHH!!!!" He groans in pain as he wound in getting more larger. His flesh and muscle are all decaying and burning at the same time.

Kaiser walks closer to him with a devilish smile on his face.

"I really don't get it, why are you all doing this meaningless war. Do you happen to have some loose screw in your brain? Can't you just mind your own business and we'll do the same?"

"Evilness should not exist!"

"Evilness? Just because we're from Demon continent doesn't mean we're evil."

"You killed many people of our Empire."

"Those people trespass our territory. What do you think we should do? Throw a party? You guys do that too to our people too"

"Shut up!"

"I mean, we are all good and evil at the same time. Try to consider that we are all humans who borrow powers from other beings. We both have different concept of good and evil. That kind of norms are popular in your country but not it ours. Do not push your ideology towards us just because you think that our ways of living is different.

Differences in society is pretty challenging and complex in nature. Ethical or not, people with same norms and culture are the only one who can judge that. I know that my words are full of nonsense, that is because you are used to a norms in which our ways of thinking foes not match your own.

I may be a part of the Dark Continent but I want to live in a simple way. But both continent are in a war I'm obligated to protect my people from your exaggerated theory of life.

As long as both factions can't understand each other, this war will never end. Get that? Oh wait, you can't hear me, right? 'Coz you're dead. I should get going now."
