Embracing the Unknown
When Xin and the others arrived at the ruined time square, some players couldn't help but take notice. His white cloak and hooded face drew attention, as most players never considered covering their faces since their avatars didn't reflect their real-world appearances.
Typically, face-covering equipment and accessories were both rare and expensive. Despite their curiosity, none of the players found it odd, considering that many in the gatherings were pro players and could afford such rare items.
As Xin approached the gathering spot, a murmur rippled through the assembled players.
"Is he a player?"
"Must be. Look at how he's walking with the leaders. They seem like they just came out of the same inn."
"I haven't seen him before. Who's he?"
"His name is X. See the name on top of his head?"
"Did we have a player named X here before?"
"I don't know."
"How come we only saw him right now?"
