Her Blind Date Find Her To Her Office
"Weren't you supposed to meet the heir of Williams Food for a blind date so how come you are talking about Mr Jackson? Don't tell me you didn't meet the heir of Williams Food?" Catherine asked suspiciously.
"After I saw Ice Prince in the restaurant I completely forgot about the blind date. Besides my contract is more important than that goddamn blind date so why do you look so worried?" Jasmine said carefreely as she concentrated her attention on the files.
"Boss, do you know what you have just said? How are you gonna explain things to your mum? Remember you promised her to go on the blind date. She will go berserk if she learns about this you know," Catherine said worriedly. The thought of the boss mother barging into the company made her shudder. She has witnessed Madam's anger once, she doesn't want to experience the Madams fury ever again.
"Hey stop frowning and just relax because I am sure that womanizer isn't gonna utter a word to my mum or his mother. If he does that I will take my sweet revenge on him so chill and go back to work," Jasmine said with an air of indifference.
She is out of it to have stood that poor guy up? I am sure that nobody in the company will have a moment of rest in the company if her mum learns about what she did? Even though others suffer, their suffering will be less but my suffering will be triple of theirs. I feel bad for my future.
Catherine thought as she turned and walk out of the office.
Throughout the day Jasmine was in high spirits. Some of her employees even saw her smiling to herself while walking past them which was not supposed to be so. Anytime the company has any problem especially a huge problem like the one at hand, their boss always had a cold expression on. If they were the ones responsible for the problem she usually makes them work twice hard as punishment but this time around the case was different. They have heard the rumours that the contract has been awarded to another company but Miss Avans their boss has not made official statements about it so they just brush it off as a rumour.
The next day Jasmine was doing a tour around the company to make sure none of her employees was lazing around was when Catherine informed her about the arrival of Mr Mike.
"Can't you see I am busy and didn't I tell you that you should ask him to book an appointment some other days that I already have prior engagement?" Jasmine asked coldly as she continues walking around the fourth floor. Some of her employees who weren't working instantly got to work the moment they got a glimpse of her through the glass walls.
"I made that very clear to him but he still insisted on seeing you. He said you have to make up for standing him up yesterday," Catherine informed as she followed Jasmine closely. She made sure she keep up with her pace.
"I should make up for standing him up?" Jasmine scoffed halting instantly. "Who the hell does he think he is to make such demands? He should be grateful I agreed to meet him. If mum hadn't forced me into agreeing to go on a blind date with him I wouldn't have spared a man like him a glance," Jasmine said furiously as she resumed working.
"I know you don't like him but...,"
"Just let him continue waiting, I am sure he will leave if I do not go out to meet him," Jasmine said with a tone of finality as she walked into the room of the marketing departments. Her employees momentarily left their work and went to welcome her. They dispersed after they were done with their greetings.
After she was done inspecting the fourth floor, She went to the third and then second. The ground floor was her last destination. Just when she was about to begin the inspection she heard a husky guy's voice call her name.
Despite hearing someone call her name she pretended not to hear it.
"Miss Avan, I am so glad to have finally seen you today. I am happy all my waiting was not in vain," the guy said holding her hand. Jasmine hated being touched by those she wasn't close to and all her employees know about this. Catherine who saw the guy hold Jasmine's hand frowned, she knew that Jasmine might not let it slide no matter who the guy might be. Her employees just secretly watched them to see what their boss will do.
Jasmine slowly turned around and shot the guy a murderous glare. Seeing her murderous glares directed at his hands the guy quickly let go of her.
"I am sorry for my impoliteness," the guy quickly apologised.
"How may I help you, Mister," Jasmine asked sternly. At first glance, she recognised him as the only heir of Williams Food but she pretended not to know him.
"I am the heir of Williams Food, Mike Williams. We were supposed to meet yesterday for our blind dates but for some unknown reason you didn't show up," Mike explained patiently as he stares at her face.
"Oh...," Jasmine said with an air of indifference. Her attitude shows she wasn't interested in whatever the guy had to say.
