Chapter 36: Speedrunning 5 stages of Grief

A week has passed and both Hiroki and Yunyun began exploring the village while chatting with other Crimson Demons who were doing their usual 'Adventures' they had. Yunyun sometimes having an embarrassed look on her face, watching her clansmen's actions to be...weird.

Though she also have been gradually resistent as differ from her canon self in the show. Hiroki even teared up once he saw her being close to her clansmen as he even celebrated everything with Yunyun which she often times scold him for his actions.

Though she also felt happy that her life changed after summoning Hiroki, sometimes even wondering what it would be like if she didn't summon him at all.

"Well, you probably going to be alone all the time, bullied by your peers, becoming a strong Adventurer who often can't get any comrades and watch as your rival having a relationship with a rich yet scummy guy who would leave you alone because she has friends other than you." Hiroki stated bluntly.

Then, he was softly punched repeatedly by Yunyun who was pouting while trying to beat the denseness of this idiot of a friend.

But what did Hiroki do while trapped in this world?

Well, he began to invent things to pass time but he could also talk to the system in his head now that Noel went missing for a week now.

'But I also realize that after getting the rewards, the system also went missing. Maybe its upgrading itself now that we binded together so maybe it went offline while the system is upgrading itself.' He thought as he was heading to a remote flat area to test the newest invention he made.

Yunyun wasn't with him since she was hanging out with Megumin for their daily challenges.

Megumin's life had completely changed after what Hiroki did to her father and now has her life improved which she could eat more due to their buisiness improving because her father isn't making defects or weird stuff and Hiroki even sells his inventions he made there which the Crimson Demons began liking.

One item they like was the transformation gear which he never thought would sell well since it was far inferior than his prototype, mainly working as a quick change gear which was only made with the materials he could gather.

The TG(transformation gear) was only made using simple cloth and a mechanism built upon using a magic. The gear was just a belt which was bulkier due to fitting the cloth inside and a switch mechanism that pops the cloth into the person wearing the belt.

The problem was mainly due to some fault in the mechanism in which Megumin once snatched one of the prototypes and caused an accident that she ended up semi-naked while being bound by an incomplete suit that binds her in a lewd pose.

Hiroki tried to explain, only to end up being jumped by both Megumin and Yunyun and proceeded to kicked him while the Crimson Demons saw him being beaten up...

Then proceeded to join in as well.

Now, Hiroki avoided showing his new inventions since he didn't want to repeat the same incident.

"Haha! I never ride one of this in my past life and now I get to experience them today." Hiroki took out a flat object which had the length of a skateboard with two large wheels attached to both sides. It had a modern design which has glowing lights that changes colors with a slick glass that was made with harder materials.

"Behold! The Hoverboard!" Hiroki boasted to himself as he then proceed to ride it and turn it on with a switch embedded on a particular slot.

*Brrrrrrr*

With a low hum, the Hoverboard works functionally well as Hiroki lean his body a bit, the hoverboad then began moving forward as the sense of overwhelming excitement fills Hiroki with a sense of accomplishment.

"Great Notch! This is so fun." Hiroki was having a blast as he proceeded to move around with the Hoverboard as the sense of making a the Hoverboard was something he didn't believe he could make.

Yet his excitement was extinguished once he heard two voices calling out to him.

"I told you Yunyun. Hiroki is hiding it from us." Megumin huffed as she crosses her arms in anger, watching Hiroki enjoying playing with the Hoverboard as she grew envious off.

"But Hiroki probably doesn't want us to find out because you blamed him for the thing he made last time without letting him explain why it was still defective." Yunyun defended her first friend as he did tell them that it was still an incomplete version due to how some errors were still being worked on while fixing them.

"I bet that Hiroki is lying to you and he is just a pervert with no morality in his eyes when he made that degenerate of a magic tool."

"Hey! I do have morality Megumin. You can't fault me for telling you that it was still a 'Work-in-progress' device." Hiroki rolled with his hoverboard towards them, staring hard at Megumin about him having no morality.

"But I was still right in you being a pervert!" Megumin back away from Hiroki as she was trying to protect herself from him.

"Damn Straight! I am a pervert and I won't deny that. But I do deny in having no moraliry since I did warn you but you didn't listen to me."

"Lies! I bet you gaze went towards lewding my body while I was defenseless."

"Yes! I did gaze lewdly on you but you can't blame me for doing so becaus it was your fault it happened."

"Grr....Perverted idiot!"

"Explosive Maniac!"

"Degenerate fool!"

"Useless one-shot magician!"

"Oh, so now you went to that huh, flat-chested b****!"

Both began to bicker as they were tearing each other apart. Each of them squeezing their faces while glaring as Yunyun grew worried as she separated both of them apart.

"Hiroki! Megumin! Stop it!"

"Hmph!" "Tch." Both let go of each other as they look away, having been scolded by Yunyun who didn't want the two people she knew, to fight.

"As Yunyun's Arch-rival, I shouldn't stoop so low as to argue with an idiot like you." Megumin puff up her chest as if she had one.

"As the friend of Yunyun, I shouldn't lower my intelligence just to converse with a crazy girl like you." Hiroki crosses his hands, trying to act smart which he doesn't have the brain capacity to have one at all.

But Yunyun was a bit relieved that her friends had stopped fighting as Hiroki moved his hoverboard towards her while stepping down from it.

"Hey Yunyun. Wanna try riding it?" Hiroki gave a smile while gesturing the shy girl who was afraid of riding such a dangerous object.

"Hiroki, I don't think I could ride such a thing..."

"Don't worry. I'll guide you carefully. Its going to be slow and steady before you'll get used to it."

"But...what if I break it?"

"Unless you go a bit hard on it. It shouldn't break at a all." He gestures Yunyun before Megumin stops both of them.

"Hmph! I, Megumin, shall not let my Arch-rival Yunyun, be swayed by a perverted creature like you. I shall be the one to take such a task." She quickly pushes Yunyun away as she excitedly sat on the hoverboard and quicklu realize how fun it was the moment it began to move. Tilting her body, the wheels also turned towards the direction where she was tilting from.

Megumin began to feel the adrenaline spiked up as she started moving faster yet she ended up reaching the speed limit Hiroki had capped up and felt upset, looking for ways to increase the speed.

"I, the future's strongest magician, shall not be slowed down by some incomplete magic tool!"

"Oh no...Megumin! Wait!" Hiroki sense that something bad was about to happen, tried to stop her from doing something she might regret but it was too late as Megumin found a switch which she flick a switch on one corners of the hoverboad.

*Woosh*

Megumin was Shocked!

Yunyun was Embarrassed!

Hiroki was Jawdropped!

"W-wa-wa-wawawawawa...." Megumin was too dumbfounded as the wind which came from the hoverboard suddenly blew Megumin's skirt which revealed her nice and perky buttocks in a pleasing view.

"M-megumin!" Yunyun covered her eyes in a panic as she was too shocked and didn't know what to say.

"Wow...Megumin's going on a commando....Nice....Wait, WTF?! Wait! Megumin, it isn't my fault! Its yours! But we can work this out because we can still fix this problem! But I know this is my fault so please forgive me, okay? No? Okay. I have to accept my fault but please be gentle on your punches." Hiroki who was too dumbfounded, instinctively says what he has on his mind before realizing the gaze in her eyes.

He began to deny, then went to make it her fault before trying to bargain to fix it, realizing it was his fault because he installed such a function before accepting his actions and prepared himself. Speedruning all the 5 stages of grief before Megumin jumped at him.
