A story of the other side

The Awakened Have bow had a simple desire resting in its newly born heart.

Slaughter everything that it could in hopes of accumulating enough energy to evolve into a new more complete form.

It was simply the desire to evolve that every living being had hidden deep within itself.

It was just that in the energy being that the Awakened Ice bow was, the desire was all the more pronounced.

'Fun...'

Mental state aside, the simple mind of the Awakened Ice bow meant that it was in all ways and words a being that just focused on its desires.

Maybe it could choose something else in the heat of it, but in essence, every single motion that the Awakened Ice bow makes is to fulfil its own desires.

Much like a human beings except it didn't have material desires.

Only spiritual.

And right now, it was watching as the sky was being blocked by the figure that gave off of a similar scent to it.

'Fun!'

Skull like face grinning and its own new born soul itching to give holding up the sky a try, it quickly whipped its horse and reared its head before directing it towards the man.

Hand melded with the bow,the sharp ends of the bow instantly grew longer and longer, growing into large spikes reminiscent of icicles.

Forming something similar to a spear, it quickly spun its hand and swung it right into the chest of the man who was in a revery while the orange light flew up into the sky, it grinned.

Quickly bringing its bow down like an axe, it swung with immense force running through its blue veins causing the chest of the man to suddenly break apart like a force breaking ceramic would.

'!'

Quickly reacting by breaking the large spike running through his chest, the man, its creator quickly held their chest with a grave look on their face.

Not that the Awakened Ice bow cared in the slightest as its eyes traced the pink flesh and peach ceramic coating its spear like bow.

Touching the edge of the weapon which carried bits of the human being that it had just stabbed, the ice on its face wiggled for a few moments before copying the vague outline of a human face.

Feeling a subtle warmness in the depths of its soul which was eagerly devouring the peach ceramic on the tip of its weapon, the Awakened Ice bow eagerly set its sights on the man who had just barely dodged a ruthless stab to the gut again.

'FUN!'

Eyeing the man like a piece of prey, it quickly moved closer all the while the sky was filled with a bright orange light not so different from that of the suns

The newly elected king of the Rosettan kingdom didn't feell like he was the king of the kingdom in any way of the word.

Having been elected by the previous king solely on the premise that he was the Kingdom's guardian, Elliot Reinhardt, the father of the twins and the step father of Lucia Rosetta didn't feel as if he was the king.

In fact, if not for the duty binding him to the previous king to follow his every command, Elliot would've done everything to make sure that he wasn't elected king.

And if was forced to do so, then he would do it until the Heir of the kingdom came of age.

Which by the standards of this worlds age systems, Lucia of the Rosettan kingdom was only two years away from that age that would free him from that burden.

So to Elliot who had already lived 60 years, a far cry to the Deceased kings 80, he was cntent in holing up in the capital, protecting it from all sorts of

A semi smart decision that the newly elected king made as not much else other than the Antlions could threaten them.

And even then, they needed to send a Storm Terror or waves after waves of Antlions to threaten him.

But lately he had felt something different.

After the battle in the skies against the Storm Terror, a desperate one that took all of his attention, the placeholder King of the Rosettan Kingdom was taken aback by the number of Antlion corpses surrounding the City walls.

It was then that Elliot's thoughts towards the Antlion threat took a 180 degree turn.

'They are dangerous'

Of course they were.

But in defence of his acts, the Antlion threat that he had faced wasn't so severe before.

But then again, right after the Kingdom had lost its king and the Secret buried underneath the capital couldn't be awakened just yet, Elliot, the War Forged Duke had abandoned his previous duty for his new duty of protecting the capital.

Culling the number of Antlions so that such events that would lead to the eventual attack of the Antlions wouldn't happen.

It was just that this attack was much more severe than the last.

But that didn't mean it would be the last one his intuition shouted.

With a tingling intuition that had saved him several other times shouting loudly at the back of his mind, Elliot Reinhardt quickly went to the man that had helped protect the city in these trying times and instantly enlisted him into the war force.

And thankfully, it seemed that all of the precautionary measures had already been taken care of his children very quickly as with just a few words, an invasion force consisting of Knights, Mages, Mercenaries and more was made.

Ignoring how convenient that it was, Elliot Reinhardt of the Rosetta Kingdom stood like a statue during the night and rode his trusty steed in the day.

And now, he had found out why his intuition was screaming at him to quickly ride to the previous site of the Antlion nest.

Or rather, what was left of it that was.

Staring at the scorching hellscape made out of Lava and red stone mixing with the golden sands of the desert, the King of the Roestta kingdom stared downed at the Storm Terror while it stared down at him.

And seeing as the bug covered in storm clouds and batting its wings together in an effort to stay afloat was staring as well, Elliot didn't move from his spot.

Sensing movement from his right, hundreds upon hundreds of white spots slowly rose up to the sky all the while their black skulled riders brought them higher and higher.

'The invasion of the Nether... it starts right here.'

Thinking that all the while he kept an eye on the Storm Terror made out of white chitin that was crackling with lightning, he grimaced underneath his helmet which slowly heated up to the red state that gave him the title of War Forged.

It was only a matter of finding out whether the Nether was attacking them specifically or were they attacking their sister Continent across the ocean?

Well, that would be to found out later.

When the Ghast force however started to blast fire down onto the ground in a manuever widely acclaimed to be called the 'Falling sky' manuever, Elliot felt an urge to go to help the,.

Feeling the urge to save his troops and most importantly the child of the king who most definitely somewhere within the battlefield, the King restrained said urge the moment the falling sky was met with

Focusing his attention on the source of orange light that picked up the sky, Elliot Reinhardt saw the man in black clothes holding up the sky with his bow.

Staring at him bob up and down the red river all the while it was swallowed up by the red waves, the man shot arrow after arrow into the air.

'...I see that my intervention is not needed.'

Seeing that he wasn't needed to hold up the sky as it was being held up by some other warrior that he saw a figment of himself in, Elliot Reinhardt smirked underneath his helmet.

Because in the man who was holding up the sky, he saw a reflection of himself.
