THE DECISION

I looked into Johann's eyes with confusion rattling every cell in my body, none of us spoke for a couple of seconds and it was all silence....

Until....

A voice muttered next to our cell, it was a captive villager and he said "You both better get out quick..." In a very faint voice almost seems like he's hurting.

We decided to talk to him... The moment we looked outside our cell we were shocked of seeing dozens of villagers in their own cells trapped and speechless... We then talked face to face with the villager next to us.

The villager had this statement said to us " For some reason the pillagers attacks village across this region and it then depends wether that they bring a captive or just slaughtered everyone. We all knew it's normal for pillagers to attack us, but it was too sudden and we found their behavior even more terrifyinh! I was spared, when I thought I was fine they tortured me and the other villagers here, I want to die, I want to leave this misery I'm in!!!!! If we can't go out then we better be off dead" the villager said with a sobbing tone...

They were devastated indeed. They went through a lot! We want to help them get out but how? While we were wondering how to get out one of the Pillagers came in for inspection... He shouted "Who wants to get tormented today" with a vicious laughter he angrily asked as all then,

He pointed at us!

"You both come here! We were terrified but little did he knew this was our opportunity! As he pulled both of us with our hands tied with rope we slowly approached the chair where to torture commence, but as soon as we were sitting down me and Johann kicked the pillager with all our might and while he was down we went to the nearest villager to help us untie everything...

After he untie the rope in our hands I proceeded to the chest in the corner and found an axe and mustered every emotion I had so far! I've cut that Pillager's head?!However as both of us were relieved we then heared noises coming from the yard outside the other pillagers heard the commotion and rushed towards inside! We both know we were in big trouble till one of the villagers said "there is an exit in the back!" And he shouted at us to hurry up and escape!

Johann and me muttered "What about you guys?" Then the pillager came in dictating and threatening to kill all the villagers in the room at once if we escape. In order to save their live lives we both tried to go back to our cell however.. all the villagers in the room shouted "You have to escape" they insisted us to.

I then asked again, what about you all? And they said to us "Your lives mattered more and we want you to live better lives, besides we wanted to die anyway and there is no hope for us as well" they insisted again. The pillagers then said "your welcome to leave but all these villagers here will be killed" Johann half heartedly insisted on me to get out here! I then argued "why?!" He answered me with a terrified expression that "our lives matter we need to get out!" The villager then said to us. "Get out now children don't worry about us". But.. but

I can't just leave you all alone.

The pillager started a countdown "If you don't leave I'll slaughter not just them but you both 3.... 2... 1.... Johann shouted "Let's go!" He grabbed my hand with all his might! As we made our exit we heard the terrifying cries and screams of the villagers behind us and we didn't look behind. And I shouted with all my might...

I SWEAR I'LL GET REVENGE ON YOU GUYS I'LL AVENGE YOU! I SWEAR TO MY NAME KYLE BRAVE HEART TO DESTROY THE PILLAGERS WHO HURT THE INNOCENTS....

I cried in that sad day asking and doubting myself "was that the right decision?" Even Johann didn't know..

But we survived however it was night time and it's no time to be weeping, revenge comes after survival and for that we need to outlive the darkest of the nightime...
