How It All Began

Yoongi is a normal, first-year college student, majoring in music.

Currently, he is walking down the hall to get to the studio, he's been working on a project for months now, but still hasn't finished it. Anything he comes up with is not good enough, so that's why today he is meeting his one and only friend at the studio, to get a second opinion on the song.

It's not that Yoongi can't make other friends, it's just that well, every time he tries making friends people ask him if he is that Min Yoongi, the heir to the biggest company in Korea and it's true he is the heir of Big Hit. And Yoongi has no problems with people knowing, but he had discovered early on, when he was still in middle school, that people didn't really want to be friends with him for him, but for the status and privileges that came with having a rich friend.

He had found out this the hard way, It was back in his first year of middle school when he had a best friend and thought that they would always be together, always be friends, but he was wrong. His friend has been acting really distant for weeks, but Yoongi was sure, that if he just talks to his friend everything would be fine, but it wasn't.

One day when classes ended he rushed to find his friend, he had found him in another classroom, talking to some of the other kids. Yoongi wanted to yell out his friends' name, but when he heard his name, he hid behind the wall. The truth was that the other kids were talking about him, saying how he was boring and looked like a baby, Yoongi thought that his friend was going to defend him, but he didn't, instead he said that as long as Yoongi was rich and brought all his cool toys to school and sometimes gave them away, that he was going to pretend to be his friend, even though Yoongi was super boring and just did whatever the other wanted.

The kids had laughed and left without noticing Yoongi. That day Yoongi cried and swore that he will not make another friend ever again. That was also why he pretty much told everyone to fuck off, on his first day of high school and college.

So, to say he has a friend now was strange! Well not really, since Yoongi and Hoseok only meet a few weeks ago and only ever meet up at the studio or at school to talk about music and Hoseok was cool, he didn't care that Yoongi was rich, he actually saw Yoongi as a person, not as someone who can lend you money or buy you food.

Yoongi wanted to hang out with him more and become real friends, but he had spent so much time on his own, that he didn't know how and was afraid to just open up and get rejected again, so for now just talking about music with Hoseok and hanging out in school was enough for now.

"Wow, Yoongi you're amazing! I don't know what you were talking about when you said that you need help, cuss this song is amazing, it doesn't need any fixing."

"You think so?" Yoongi looked at the screen, looking over the song one more time. "I just feel like there's something missing, but I can't figure out what it is."

Hoseok put the headphones back on and listen to the song one more time. While he was listening to the song, he tapped his finger to the beat and hummed along with the song. He really didn't see anything wrong or missing from the song. "Maybe you just need a break from this song and come back to it later, maybe then you'll figure out what's missing?"

Yoongi sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Maybe I should do that."

Hoseok saw how Yoongi was disappointed and upset, and he felt horrible that he couldn't help him. "Hey don't worry! I'm sure you the song will turn out great."

Yoongi still looked troubled, so Hoseok made it his mission to distract him. "Hey how about we go out to eat? My treat. We can eat whatever you want."

Finally, Yoongi smiled. "Lamb skewers?"

Hoseok laughed at Yoongi's respond, he should have expected for Yoongi to say that. "Okay sure my little dongsaeng, we can get lamb skewers. Do you have time today?"

Yoongi thought about it and as much as he would like to go out today he just couldn't. "Sorry Hyung, but I don't have time today. My classes end early on Mondays and I was planning to go home straight away, so I can catch my parents before they go to work."

"Oh that's okay, we can go on Wednesday after out classes end?"

Yoongi was so happy to have a friend like Hoseok. "Yeah sure, my classes end around three."

"Mine ends a little earlier so I'll pick you up. I have to go now, but text me your last class on Wednesday, okay?" Yoongi nodded and waved goodbye to Hoseok.

Yoongi worked a little longer on the song, but when an hour passed and he was still stuck and getting nowhere, he decided to call it a day and hurry home.

Even though Yoongi was rich and his family had a lot of drivers who could drive Yoongi everywhere, Yoongi preferred to take the train or the bus and then walk the rest of the way home.

So like any other day, Yoongi was waiting for the bus to come, he took out his phone and headphones, and started listening to a song called MINE. He didn't know who wrote this song, but he still admired the person who wrote it, because the song was just too beautiful.

You would expect the song to be the kind of song that played in a club, with a strong beat that you could dance to and lyrics that talked about a possessive man and how his boyfriend or girlfriend belonged to him. But the song wasn't anything like that!

The song had a nice, slow melody and the rap lyrics talked about how people closest to the rapper, were loved and treasured by him, how they were his family and he would do anything for them and how he wished that they weren't his.

Honestly, the lyrics were a little confusing, but still very beautiful and honest, you could tell by the emotions in the rapper's voice. Yoongi wished he knew who was the man behind the song because Yoongi would love to meet him and maybe ask for a collab.

The song ended and there were a few seconds of silence before the next song came up and in those few seconds a sound of a lighter, being opened and closed coughed Yoongi's attention.

Yoongi turned around to see where it was coming from and saw a guy dressed in all black with a black cap on his head, that was pulled down so that his face wasn't visible.

It was strange to see someone dressed like that in the middle of summer and on this bus stop, where only students usually go to take the bus home, but it could be that this person just got lost and ended up here or something.

The bus arrived and Yoongi was snapped out of his thoughts. He quickly searched his pockets for the bus pass and boarded the bus.

While on the bus he could shake the feeling that someone was watching him. He could feel the strong gaze, lingering on him. It was like someone wanted to burn a hole in his skin like someone was studying his every move.

Yoongi decided to ignore it, it was probably someone who liked his bleached blue hair or maybe his fashion sense. Honestly, it didn't matter, he chooses to ignore it and just listen to his music while looking at the scenery from the bus.

Five minutes went by and the strong gaze was still on him, burning his skin, but Yoongi still choose to do nothing about it, but just listening to his music didn't work anymore, he had to do something else.

He decided to instead write lyrics in his little notebook that he always kept with him, cause you never know when inspiration will strike you. But as soon as he took out the notebook and tried writing something, he realized that he was shaking in fear. He pulled his jacket closer and zipped it, thinking that he shivers will go away, but they didn't.

Against his better judgment, he looked behind to see if he could spot the one who as looking at him. At the back, sitting on the opposed side was the man, dressed all in black that was previously on the same bus stop as Yoongi. His face was still covered with a hat so Yoongi couldn't see his face.

Yoongi swears that his and the stranger's eyes met and the stranger smirked, creeping Yoongi out even more.

Right then and there Yoongi decided to get the fuck off this bus. Not caring or looking where he was, he pressed the stop button and as soon as the bus stopped he ran off it and to the nearest train station, where he boarded the train, luckily going in the direction of his house.

On the train he bought coffee from one of the little vending machines they had on the trains and set down beside an old lady, who seemed nice and even offered him some candy.

The feeling of someone's gaze on him didn't go away, but looking around he couldn't see the stranger in all black or anyone else, and the train was pretty much empty, so Yoongi decided that his body was wrong, there was no one looking at him!

Fourthly for him, the old lady kept him and his mind occupied with questions ranging from which school was he attending, too questions about why he was wearing jeans whit holes in them, she even offered him money to buy new jeans without holes.

He was finally saved when the train stopped and she had to go off. He politely helped her to the door and then bowed in goodbye (hoping that he will never meet her again, cause he was sure he would have to again explain why he was wearing jeans with holes in them).

Thanks to the old lady he actually forgot all about his stalker and just enjoyed the train ride.

After half an hour, he finally arrived home. The family butler greeted him politely as soon as Yoongi walked thru the door, but Yoongi ignored him.

Not on purpose. He actually didn't hear his butter greet him, cause he was in such a hurry to go and talk to his family.

It had almost been a month since he last seen them and for this was not how usually things were. His parents were indeed really busy, but ever since Yoongi was born they would always make sure to make time for him, they would usually see each other every day, maybe not for long, but still they at least saw each other and exchange a few words. His parents would even take days off in their busy schedule to take Yoongi out and found how their son was doing.

But for the last mouth Yoongi had not seen his parents even once, he only talked to them on the phone, but the conversation only lasted a few seconds with them telling him that they are busy and not to bother them.

Yoongi understood that they were busy and wasn't bother by the fact that they didn't have time, but still, he at least wanted to see them, so that is why he was in such a hurry to come home today, knowing that they were coming home today to get some documents that they needed for one of their clients.

"Mom, dad! I'm home." Yoongi busted thru the door that led to his parent's study, only to find that his parents weren't there. He finally noticed the family butler, walking behind him, struggling to keep up with his pace." Where are my parents? Weren't they coming home today?"

The butler saw the hopeful look in Yoongi's eyes, so it was really hard for him to tell Yoongi that his parents weren't home. "I'm sorry young master, but lady Min and master Min called and said that they were too busy to come home, so I took the documents they needed to their office."

Yoongi bit his lip and did his best to smile. "It's okay, I understood that they are busy. I'll go to my room now and I won't be needing dinner today." Before the butler could protest and tell him that he needed to eat, he quickly made his way to his room.

He spent the remaining day in his room, just listening to his favorite songs, not even bothering to do his homework or work on his song.

Yoongi really hated when he got his hopes up and ended disappointed, he hated it even more if it was something he cared about, like his parents.

He wasn't some child who needed his mommy and daddy, but ever since he was little or more precisely, ever since middle school, he always talked about his problems with his parents, he told them everything, he even came out to them last year and told them that he was gay and they were totally okay with it, so to say it was hard not even seeing them was an understatement.

A few tears left his eyes, but he just rolled over, ignoring them in favor of closing his eyes and slowly falling asleep.

*******

The next time he opened his eyes it was already morning and the only reason he woke up was because of his butler or the maids (it was hard to tell who it was because he was half asleep) knocking on his door and saying that he needed to wake up or he will be late for school.

He really didn't feel like going to school, he was already in a bad mood from yesterday and seeing all those fuckers who wanted to be friends with him for the money, will only make his mood worse.

He lied back down with the full intention of drifting back to sleep when suddenly he jolted awake remembering that the maids and the butler have full permission from his parents, to enter his room and kick his butt if he ever skipped school for no reason other then being sick.

In the end, he still didn't want to go to school, but he couldn't exactly stay home, so he yelled from his room that he was awake and then got dressed.

Looking outside he saw that is was a really beautiful, sunny day, so he put on ripped jeans and a t-shirt and made his way downstairs where breakfast was waiting for him, but he turned it down, saying he was going to be late if he set down and ate.

Luckily he caught the train just in time, but it would be okay if he missed it, since he wasn't planning to go to school anyways.

Instead of getting off at his usual stop, he stayed on the train just looking outside and trying to come up with lyrics, no even caring where he was going. He rode the train all the way to the last stop where he had to get off.

To his surprise, he actually ended up in the rich part of Seoul, where all the designer shops and expansive cafes were. But it was not like Yoongi was lost or anything, he was rich after all and had visited this part of Seoul many times, in fact, his parent's company was close by.

He was deciding what to do when his stomach made a loud noise telling him to get some food.

Ten minutes passed since he started walking around looking for a decent place to eat at, but nothing caught his attention. It was either too crowded or it was one of those super fancy places where you needed to wear a suit and Yoongi clearly wasn't wearing one.

He gave up looking for food instead he turned around to go back to the train station when he bumped into someone. "Oh sorry, excuse me." He said and wanted to keep walking but when he saw how handsome the stranger was, he stopped and started.

The handsome man looked at Yoongi and when he saw that he was being checked out he smirked. "It's okay just be more careful next time."

All Yoongi could do was nod and watched as the handsome man walked away. Once he couldn't see him anymore he mentally kicked himself for not at least asking his name, but now it was to late cause he was already gone.

He took out his phone and checked the time. It was one hour before lunch at school would start, so he message Hoseok asking if he wanted to eat lunch together and then made his way to the train station.

The train was pretty much empty so Yoongi lied down over the seats and took a short nap.

"Earth to Yoongi! Hello, are you in there?" Hoseok waved his hand in front of Yoongi's face.

"Get your dirty hands out of my face!" Yoongi slapped Hoseok's hand away, giving at him the death glare.

"Oh, so you are awake! You were the one who asked me to have lunch with you and you're not even listening to me."

"Sorry hyung, I was just thinking about something."

Hoseok interested was peaked and he raised his eyebrows signaling for Yoongi to continue.

Yoongi thought if he should tell Hoseok or not, it was not that he didn't trust him, it was just that he hadn't told his friend that he like boys instead of girls and he had no idea how Hoseok would react.

In the end, he decided to tell him, since if they are to be real friends, Yoongi would have to tell him eventually, so better for the friendship to end now then later when he got even more attached. "Well, I was actually thinking about this guy I bumped into today, he was really hot, but I didn't even get his name or number so now I'm kind of regretting not asking for it."

Yoongi held his breath, waiting for Hoseok to process what he just told him. He thought that this was going to be the end of their friendship, but he couldn't have been more wrong.

"So you like guys?"

Yoongi nodded.

"Cool, me too! I actually have a boyfriend, but that's not important right now. Tell me more about this hot guy, what did he look like, was he older?"

Yoongi didn't know if he should laugh or cry, he was just so happy to finally tell somebody that wasn't his parents, and be accepted. "I don't really know how to describe him. He looked older, he was tall and had bleached blond hair, he was wearing this expensive suit, he probably works for some big company or something."

"So you like the daddy type?"

Yoongi literally spit water everywhere, the bottle that he was drinking from fell on the floor. "Omg Hoseok! What is wrong with you!"

Hoseok tumbled to the floor laughing. "Yoongi, you should see your face. It's all red."

Hoseok laughed until Yoongi began chasing him. The two of them ran thru the school until they were stopped by one of the teachers. Fortunately for them, Hoseok was on good terms with the teacher so they didn't get in trouble.

"See you tomorrow Yoongs, don't forget to text me your last class number, so I can pick you up."

Yoongi just waved back and made his way home, not even bothering to go to any of his classes.

Thanks to Hoseok's daddy comment, Yoongi had a really nice dream about the hot, blond guy and apparently, he was quite vocal in his sleep because all the maids kept avoiding his eyes and blushing and his butler asked him if he had an older boyfriend.

Yoongi had never felt more embarrassed in his life.
