Chapter 11: Class about succubuses and gargoyles

The class was about to start and Lucas noticed that this class had noticeably more males than females today. Lucas had a hunch as to why that was, but he chose not to comment.

Lucas starts the class by saying "Before we start this class, please remember that we are talking about a respectable demon race that aren't just after intercourse." Kyle says "But isn't succubuses basically that?" Lucas asks back "Have you actually encountered a succubus before?" Kyle says "Well indeed I have. In my bedchambers." Lucas says "Let's leave that topic and move on to the next.

Succubuses and incubuses are a race that is most commonly known to absorb the lifeforce of a living being through intercourse. While this is true, there are few misconceptions to that.

First of all, they don't need the life essence to live. It just makes them more powerful than if they would go on without.

Second is that they don't kill people by doing intercourse specifically, though they all have a skill called "Kiss of death" which can almost certainly kill anyone it is used against. They can choose when to use the said skill, meaning you can kiss one if you are sure that they aren't after your life.

And while I say that they don't kill people by doing intercourse, sometimes people die over ecstasy, both figuratively and metaphorically. This can happen even in normal intercourse, but the chance is usually higher with succubuses and incubuses since they have skills that increase ecstasy.

Third, while I said that they don't need suck the life essence out of people, they can live by doing so. That means as long as they have intercourse with one person per night, they can live without consuming any food or drinks.

Fourth, succubuses and incubuses do have to go through childhoods. The reason why you most often don't see one, not that they are common these days anyways, is that succubuses and incubuses keep their children in a secluded village that is being managed by a succubus or incubus elder and their assistants. The reason for this is because succubuses and incubuses can't control their "Charm" skill before they hit puberty, so letting a succubus or incubus child roam around in public would cause trouble for certain.

Then misconception number five, the fact that succubuses and incubuses cannot breed. While it is true that we cannot see them breeding with each other or having intercourse at that matter, the reason why this is is because succubuses and incubuses biologically aren't fond of each other. It's like if you ask a two normal siblings to fuck each other.

Of course they will refuse because they feel that it is taboo to do so, that is if they are normal that is. And while I do agree on the point that siblings can love each other in that way as long as they don't try to have kids, I think that it isn't something that should happen.

But back to the topic. Yes, succubuses and incubuses can have children between one another, but the kid usually becomes both succubus and incubus at the same time. Meaning that they are both male and female. The reason why this happens is because if a succubus chooses to have a child, it will always be a succubus. And the same goes for incubuses. If succubus and incubus make a child, it has to be both sexes to the rules to apply. I heard that there has been a case where a succubus and an incubus had a child that turned out to be pure succubus. I will get to the "how do succubuses and incubuses make children" topic soon.

Now let's get to the facts. First, and I hate to bring this up, but succubuses and incubuses that haven't reached puberty don't have the skill "Kiss of death" and they are unable to control their skills that make intercourse more pleasurable. So if there is any sick fucks in this classroom, then know that raping a succubus or incubus before they hit puberty can actually be one of the most pleasurable things you can ever experience. Good luck with the village guardians however, which can be quite formidable for what I've heard.

Then how succubuses and incubuses make children. As you may have heard, succubuses and incubuses are also known as "dream eaters". This means they can also sustain themselves by eating dreams. Each type of dream has a different flavor, or so I have heard. And as to how this connects with making children, well succubuses and incubuses all know how to do a certain ritual that connects the dreams of the parents. Only during this ritual can a child be made between succubus and any male or incubus and any female.

For succubuses the matter of having a child is simple, but for incubuses it takes certain effort. Not to make light of childbearing process or anything, just speaking of keeping the child safe. Since incubuses have to wait for the mother of their child to give birth, they have to stay around until the birth of said child. It is dangerous to leave the child to be alone with the mother for the reasons said earlier about incubus children. I have heard of many cases where the mother starts to have thoughts of marrying the child they haven't even given birth to yet and something along those lines. I have heard many tales about how things ended with the incubus and their mother. The same effect can happen with a succubus's child and their father, but since succubuses can just leave the father be, this is much less common."

Kyle then asked "Have you ever slept with a succubus." Lucas said "Unfortunately yes." Kyle asked "Why so negative? Won't a creature like you enjoy the process?" Lucas says "The intercourse itself was great, but since there was no feeling in it for me I don't remember it fondly." Kyle says "You are just lying to yourself. I bet your so-called wife didn't satisfy you enough so you had to lean on succubus."

Lucas then moves on top of Kyle's table in a blink of an eye and starts to give a menacing aura. Kyle was startled and when he realized what happened, Lucas stared right in his eyes and said menacingly "Care to repeat that Mr. Marx?" Kyle was fumbling as he said "I… I think that this proves my point. Why else would you be this angry?" Lucas then makes a blade out of his hand and puts it near Kyle's neck.

Lucas says "You have only two words to say to me. If I hear anything else, this little thing is going to get to the opposite side of your neck." Professor Hansel shouted "Professor Knave! Please calm yourself! This isn't how teachers are supposed to act!"

Lucas kept staring Kyle in the eyes for a while, expecting him to say the words Lucas was after, but after ten seconds of silence, Lucas retracted his blade and jumped to the front of the classroom in a blink of an eye. Then he said "I expect everyone in this class to have proper manners. What you saw just now is how demon schools handled rowdy students back in the day.

Students were a bit terrified of Lucas at the moment and his popularity was lowered in many eyes. Even so, Lucas continued his class.

"As for the skills and abilities of succubuses and incubuses, there are many to talk about. For example, there is the skill "silent casting" which is in all of them. Then there are skills like "Widowmaker" and "Soother" which some of them get, but not all. Their most known skill is "Extreme pleasure" which can make their targets feel an extra amount of pleasure. They even can turn pain into pleasure, which some sadistic succubuses and incubuses love to use.

Other skills are "Dream eater", "Dream walker", "Bedmaster", "Sex beast" and some more. These are skills that succubuses and incubuses often have at some point in their life, but they aren't necessarily with all of the members of their races.

And now to the weaknesses of succubuses and incubuses. Like most demons, they are weak against holy energy, so use it against them. As for the rest of the tips… succubuses and incubuses don't differ that much else compared to humans. The only noticeable difference in their combat power is that they can summon sharp claws from their fingernails and they have the skill "Charm" on them, which can make the opponent hesitate. If you have any items that can counter any mind affecting things, then be sure to wear one if you go against a succubus or incubus. Other than those facts, fight them like you would fight a human, who is a bit stronger than your average human.

Now let's go to the topic of gargoyles and demon gargoyles." Lucas notices Sonya raising her hand, so he asks her "What is it, Ms. Sonya?" Sonya asks "Aren't you going to say anything about the Tizat family?" Lucas says "Do I have to?" The class seems to nod and some voices say "Yes" so Lucas relents and says "Fine, let's go over a bit about the Tizat family. Then again, I barely talked about the Avar family, but since no one asked about them I guess it's fine."

Then Lucas gives a sigh and says "The Tizat family. It consists of two factions. Succubuses and incubuses. Most of the known history about these two factions, succubuses have held most power in the Tizat family. As for why this is… who really knows. All I know is that there once was a mighty queen succubus who ruled the Tizat family and brought it to glory. Her name was Susan Tizat, and the most notable thing about her was that she was actually bad with men. It wasn't that she was afraid of them per say, but she always acted awkwardly around them. No one knew where this stemmed from, but since it was the woman who brought prosperity to the Tizat family, no one really minded that. There also was king incubus once, but he was far less noticeable.

The titles of "Queen succubus" and "King incubus" Weren't something the strongest of the family could simply hold. They had to be favored by the demon god Meretrix and hold her will within their hearts. As far as I remember, there have been a total of three queen succubuses and one king incubus.

Then about the special power that the Tizat family had. Well they were more skilled in the art of illusion magic and they generally could do the normal succubus' and incubus' jobs easier. Their "Kiss of death" skill had a wider range of things it could affect.

Now that we got those out of the way, can we now move to the next subject?" Most people nodded, so Lucas said "Good, moving on…

Gargoyles. A stony creature that looks like it was carved to be a messenger demon. Generally statues that are meant to look like demons are also classified as gargoyles, but the real ones can actually move and speak.

Gargoyles were, in general, used as messengers back when demon territory blossomed. But their skill for combat was something that shouldn't be taken lightly. I have seen many adventurers who have fought against a gargoyle and been surprised that they can't break them like they were a normal rock. They actually strengthen their toughness via use of mana and aura combined. That's why you either need great strength to break the gargoyle or use magic to get past its toughness. Using magic attacks is generally the best option to beat gargoyles, since they are naturally weaker against it than they are to physical attacks. This weakness is however often countered by gargoyles using protective barriers to block any magic from touching them.

As mentioned, gargoyles are good with physical attacks and with spells that give them barriers. They usually have plenty of mana in them, so if you are fighting one, know that it will take a long time to defeat it. And that is if they don't decide to flee during combat. I heard many adventurers curse them as their target gargoyle left. I can't give you any other advice about dealing with gargoyles but be persistent and don't leave an opening for them to escape.

Let's talk about what made gargoyles sought after material when there were many of them. The most sought after thing that they had was the metal casing around their magic core. All gargoyles, be it demon or regular one, have them around their core. This metal was highly sought after for its magical conductibility. It was almost as good with magical conduction than mithril and it was easier to find back then, so there is no wonder why gargoyles were sought after.

And while the metal was sought after, the only means to get it was to get a gargoyle who has eaten healthily their luxium. Luxium is a metal found in only a few places and for any gargoyle to be healthy, they have to eat this ever growing material. Luxium is a metal that grows in the ground thanks to the demonic energy of the ground. They are almost useless to any other race than gargoyles, since it has such a high melting point and since it's tough. The gargoyles can eat and digest luxium thanks to their skill "Luxium consumption".

Enough about luxium. Let's get to the matter between regular gargoyles and demon gargoyles. Demon gargoyles usually have a more human-like look in them than their regular counterparts. A regular gargoyle can evolve into a demon gargoyle, which is the stronger version of a gargoyle. Demon gargoyles all look a bit different. For example, Fiona here has marble-like horns and a tail, but some other demon gargoyle could have horns and tails like iron, ebony, crystals of any kind or maybe even mithril.

Demon gargoyles have had two skills since birth. One is the "Attack nullification" skill which blocks incoming damage proportional to the user's power. If the damage exceeds the threshold of the nullification, then the user will receive more damage than they would have if they didn't use it. The second is a skill called "Petrify" which works similarly to what Medusa Gorgos had. The skill "Petrify" can turn people to stone as long as the will of the user is higher than the target. If the user's will isn't higher, they will receive mental damage.

That should sum it up for the seven demon lord races. I will go through some of demon history in the future and if the demand is high enough, we will explore some less known demon races like oni, chinshin, devouter, devourer or maneater.
