Enter: The Scumbag Dad

A Month Later, S city.

Dressed in a simple white blouse and black trousers, Zhu Hua sat comfortably under the sun as pretty as a flower. Streaks of silvery gold shining in her tied up hair, a glint of mischief on her lips as she dealt the final blow.

Although Zhu Hua had a frail constitution, as long as she ate well and took her supplements on time and especially exercised she wouldn't look so scrawny and malnourished. Unlike now she had grown taller and there was a healthy glow that radiated from her.

"I won this time old man- no herbal medicine today!" She said taking a sip of tea, her grandfather quietly assessing the chess board.

Glancing at her, he gave a defeated smile. "When do you plan on going back to school?"

"Do I need to?" Replying a question with a question.

"Even if you don't want to do anything with your life, at least get a basic education." He scolded. "I don't want people criticising my Xie family."

"Mm." She agreed obediently. "Do I have to go back there though?"

Looking at her chubbier cheeks and her effort throughout the month, she'd been given leave from school. In thought he tapped his fingers on the handle of his wooden cane.

"What do you want to do then?" He asked grumpily, not liking the possibility of her leaving.

"Homeschooling." She replied with a bright smile, thinking about the extra hours she can spend in bed.

Trying to take advantage, as much as possible, of her youth and her ability to lead a bit more of a lazier lifestyle.

In her past life she was someone unable to stop and think for herself, constantly worrying and rushing about what she had to do next. It was nice just to be able to sit still and do nothing, although with and adults mindset she had to agree it was a bit boring not having to do anything.

Especially, when she was used to waking up at 5 am to exercise and the like before heading to work before 7:30 am.

Spending her days playing games, reading books and accompanying her grandfather for walks around the residence- she was officially banned from training in the barracks because she was 'too violent.'

"Absolutely not! I'm not having a hermit of a granddaughter." Pointing his fingers at her in warning.

"Tsk!" Rolling her eyes.

"Pour me some tea." He said softly, resetting the chess board again.

Sitting in the garden under the warm sun in silent harmony, the slight tapping of the chess pieces being laid could be heard. Simply enjoying the smells of the wild flowers and each other's company.

He internally despaired as he watched his beautiful, intelligent and witty granddaughter. Disappointed about having a pathetic man as a son-in-Law, who has no sense of morality over his own child.

'I wonder where she got that temper of hers from though.'

He pondered as he watched her ruthless strategies, not only found in playing chess.

But in martial arts as well... 'How can she kick a person in the stomach and then have the audacity to smile. Asking if your okay afterwards and then punch you...Demoness.' A shiver ran down his spine as Xiao Zhu saw him staring and gave him an innocent smile, before killing off his King piece.

The panting and running of a maid clamouring towards them could be heard, Zhu Hua raising an eyebrow as she watched in curiosity at the maids sympathetic expression.

"Master, there's a phone call from a... Mr. Liu- f-for Young Miss."

With a hardened look on his face he reached out to take the phone however, Zhu Hua had already taken it from the maid to his astonishment. Placing the call on speaker phone for all to hear, she sat down comfortably with a little sigh.

A calm and slightly low voice spoke with a hint of sarcasm.

"Mr Liu, what can I do for you?"

"No hello- No greeting, insolent child- am I not your father?!" His angry, coarse voice echoed across the silent courtyard.

"Well considering you've never paid anything towards my current lifestyle or education, I guess I can commend you for planting your seed so well. Hmm... What would you like a pat on the back or my inheritance?" Nonchalantly, checking the length of her long nails as her grandfather detested nail polish and the smells of makeup and strong perfume.

"How dare you talk back to me you little bitch! How is your grandfather raising you? you disgusting demonic child- what kind of child tries to take the life of their mother! Everything you've received from now isn't even yours, it's not like a mistake like you needs inheritance. It all belongs to your brother!" He continued to spout profanities and harsh words, Zhu Hua feeling an ache in her chest. Unsure of whether it was from the previous bodies Zhu Hua or her own feelings about her pathetic excuse of a father.

"Oh I don't know probably better than you, considering how I'm not the one calling my pathetic excuse of a father and talking shit about him because he wants something from me?" With a malicious gleam of violet, not caring for the maids and her grandfather speechless expression.

After a moment of silence, suppressing his anger he forced himself to speak.

"Your brothers been in an accident, at this point it will only hold up and lead to a dent in his future. Although, in other aspects you're completely useless, you do look like my son." She had to admit when she found out, her heart jumped out of her chest, but she knew this wasn't her real brother. Feeling a pang of hurt and bitterness, when he wouldn't refer to her with as much love and care as her supposed brother.

"Taking his place you will attend school for him and prevent him from being further behind than his cousins in the fight over the CEO position. You should be able to do that?!"

Narrowing her eyes as she couldn't be bothered to conceal her yawn, she explained nonchalantly. "I have no intention of doing anything for you for free, neither do I want anything to do with you Mr. Liu. However, I suppose you can't really blame the child for the mistakes of ones parents right? So I'll have a contract sent your way... and by the way, this phone call was on loud speaker. Not only did grandfather hear it, but I think the whole house did." Before hanging up the phone abruptly and placing the phone back into the maids hand.

Noticing her bad mood and feeling a bit upset for her, he decided to hold himself back from scolding her about her lack of etiquette.

"You know the Liu sons only go to all boys academies... that dorm? Telling as he watched her curiously.

"What are they eunuchs?" She muttered, causing her grandfather to laugh abashedly making her flinch.

"Are you really planning on pretending to be your brother?" With all seriousness.

"Well you want me to go to school and if I can so might as well try and get the Liu name off my back. I really want nothing to do with them." She explained, looking at her grandfather with a little despair. "Oh and I need to borrow your Lawyer."

Although, a little curious he just wanted to protect her as long as he could. However, in reality he knew the sweetness won't last that long so he just silently consented currently. Unsure of whether this may be a good idea or not.

"Grandfather..." She said teasingly wriggling her eyebrows.

"How do I act like a boy?"

'This brat.'
