Chapter 23

The bugs dived inward as Blood Sucker snapped his fingers once more, their proboscises pointing at Soul Sakura and Dark Ox. Soul Sakura could make out what appeared to be some kind of liquid trickling from the proboscis using only her sight.

"Fuck!" Soul Sakura yelled as she grabbed a corner of her cape and pulled it over her body to cover her. She whirled around to face Dark Ox, who did as she instructed, and the cloak of Soul Sakura encircled the two of them. However, this is not the case. The cloak that Soul Sakura wore emitted a glow, which activated the defensive bright light within it. Mosquitoes on the right side of the screen were rendered immobile by the light. The mosquitoes altered their flight pattern to target the exposed portion on the left side of their bodies, which was still vulnerable to attack. Soul Sakura inhaled deeply before turning her attention to the flies and turning her head toward them. The earrings worn by Soul Sakura each let out a faint glimmer of light and simultaneously sent out a rush of icy air. The little insect corpses were frozen solid, and when they fell to the hard floor, they clattered like hail on glass.

Blood Sucker yelled out "No!" in response.

Dark Ox was heard to say, "I'll deal with the rest."

Dark Ox emerged from hiding behind Soul Sakura's cape and punched a fist into the tile beneath him, fracturing a sizeable piece of the floor. Soul Sakura's cape fell to the ground. He launched it like a discus weighing twenty pounds across the room, with Blood Sucker as the target of his throw. Bee Breather fell to the ground after being knocked over by the broken tile. Dark Ox went up to the boulder that had been hurled and leaped up high in the direction of Blood Sucker. Dark Ox, who was in the air with Blood Sucker, balled up his fist with Dark Celestial Energy and punched Blood Sucker so hard that the latter fell to the ground and smacked his body, causing a crack to appear on the ground. Dark Ox was still in the air with Blood Sucker. As a result of the punch and the collision, his eyes closed, and the remaining mosquitoes flew off in all different directions.

Dark Ox was able to touch down on the ground without incident and stood there with a smug grin on his face despite wearing his helmet. "This horse just has one trick in its sleeve."

Soul Sakura didn't crack a smile yet. "Let's not celebrate yet." Blood Sucker's companion raised an eyebrow and grinned in response to her nod of acknowledgment.

The man complimented the woman on her astute choice. He brought his hands up to his sides and moved his fingers in a wriggling motion.

Soul Sakura sighed and muttered, "Now I will have to deal with him again."

Glass shards that had shattered off of the display cases clattered and clanged against the floor for a moment before gently rising into the air. While they hovered, each piece turned so that its most dangerous edge was directed toward Supergirl and Mon-El. The shards of glass gave off a faint crackling sound when they came into contact with the electricity.

The man flung his hands forward, and shards of glass flew through the air in the direction of the heroes. Soul Sakura rushed in front of Dark Ox with her cape up, and although she was successful in preventing the glass from being broken, she was unable to halt the force that was driving it. Both she and Dark Ox were propelled across the room and collided with a statue of Kukulkan. Soul Sakura attempted to grab hold of the statue as it was falling, but her fingers were unable to gain purchase, and the priceless relic broke apart as it hit the ground.

The male thief said, "Oops," while clenching his hand into a fist. He then brought up the other hand and pointed in Mon-direction. El's "Just so you know, there is no need for the entire world to be filled with people like you. The acquisition of data grants us strength, and I intend to acquire it. Gain everything!"

The man propelled Mon-El into the air with a flick of his finger, gradually increasing his altitude as he rose.

Gravitational yelled out, "We deserve liberation from Microsoft and Sony's control," and the crowd agreed. What do you think I should say?

"Enough!" shouted Soul Sakura. She lunged forward with her fists up in an attempt to catch up to the female thief, who had raised her hand in a gesture of hesitation.

Dark Ox yelled "Wait" when he was in the air while using his armor to shatter the electrical shards that pushed him up. He was utilizing them to push himself higher.

Soul Sakura encountered a brief period of resistance; nonetheless, Gravitational's inability to effectively control both heroes ultimately led to Soul Sakura's victory.

The yell that Dark Ox let forth released darkness from within his armor. He was channeling his wrath into the hold for Gravitational in order to increase the strain on it. Gravitational, who was beginning to experience a headache and was bleeding from his nose, was doing raw digital magic in an attempt to hold them both. He was well aware that if he continued acting in this manner, he would eventually pass away, therefore he saw only one way out of this predicament.

Soul Sakura, who was about to put an end to all of this folly as her fist began to glow pink, The thief looked passed Soul Sakura and gave a nod in the direction of Gravitational just as Soul Sakura was ready to punch Gravitational in the face.

Gravitational yelled as he used the last of his digital strength to bring Dark Ox down to the earth at a rapid rate of speed, "You should care about him?" When Soul Sakura turned around, she saw the gravitational force that had been elevating Dark Ox also pull him down.

"Dark Ox!" she yelled as she dashed over to him.

Dark Ox let out a yelp as he was falling, but he contorted his body while he was in midair, and he landed on his feet with a thump that shook the ground.

"Don't worry about me," he reassured Supergirl through heavy breathing. "But our pals are gone."

Soul Sakura spun around to face a chamber that was stuffed with relics, had one guard lying on the floor unconscious, and contained no criminals. She could hear footsteps rushing from the other room, and she could also hear sirens sounding close.

She informed Dark Ox, "I have to make my way to the M.R.C.." "Are you able to remain here and deal with this. I will bring both of their faces into the data scanning booth so that we can enlist the assistance of other people in our search for them.

He looked in all directions. "Do you mean to say that you want me to explain how we managed to ruin a piece of history while all we have to show for it is a heap of dead mosquitoes and broken ground?" Dark Ox let out a breath of relief before giving her the thumbs up. "I thrive on being put to the test. However, exercise caution because you are aware that I am constantly concerned about you.

Supergirl brushed her lips quickly against his cheek and gave him a peck "as I stated before I can protect mine. You are not need to keep a constant watch over me ". and sprinted in the direction of the exit.

She turned around and heard Dark Ox say to someone behind her, "We're extremely sorry about this.

A question: "Would you be interested in an autograph?"

As Supergirl raced into the Microsoft Redmond Campus, she utilized a scanner to search the area for any traces of the robbers who had broken into the museum. No luck.

After quickly ascending to the control room balcony of the M.R.C., she down the stairs two at a time and stopped when she reached the stone floor and the M.R.C. emblem that was stretched out in front of her.
