Invited for Dinner

Bullet was sitting at a dinner table in a white dress shirt with his hair tied up. The sleeves were rolled up and a button was undone. He looked down and blushed embarrassingly, swallowing as Mei ate.

Mio pursed her lips, smiling "Hungry, Bullet?" Another woman laughed, "Of course, he's only shy! I would be too, ah… look at me." Mio's lips twitched unhappily, she wasn't exactly close to this 'sister' of hers…

The woman had deep purple hair with light blue skin. The whites of her eyes were black and her irises were bright green!

Her name was Kizuki Chitose.

Very complicated but basically, she was Mio's cousin. She was a big time reporter.

Bullet swallowed and stared at his plate, very shy. He played with his mask under the table and Mei suddenly said "Haha! Bullet is famous now!" Kei looked at her and Mio smiled, "Oh yeah?" Kizuki looked interested, leaning on the table, smiling "Give aunty ALL the juicy deets, 'kay?"

Bullet looked embarrassed and blushed, but Mei didn't care at all, laughing crazily "AHAHAHA! OF COURSE, WITH ME ON HIS SIDE, HOW CAN HE NOT BE?! HIS NAME WILL RING ACROSS THE UNIVERSE! HAHAHAHAHA!" before calming down and eating, adding, "He's been going around saving people with the new Ragdoll."

Kizuki's eyes brightened and she looked at Bullet, who was staring at the food with bloodshot eyes, wondering if it would eat him instead. Then he wouldn't have to be in this situation anymore…

Mio held her hands and smiled sweetly. Kei continued eating and didn't say anything, he didn't really like talking when Kizuki was around… She would always press him for trade secrets.

Kizuki smiled excitedly, "You're BIG NEWS, Bullet? Let Aunty hear it! I'll put you in the paper!" Bullet looked embarrassed and said "Not so important…" Kizuki laughed "Nonsense! How could a First Year Hero not be important! Let's start with that arm… What happened?"

Mio frowned slightly, saying "Kizuki." Kizuki smiled sheepishly, not really caring that much, Bullet swallowed and said "All For One blew it away." Kizuki was stunned and said "You're the kid from the Kamino Incident?! The Quirkless boy?!"

Bullet frowned sadly, looking at his food in embarrassment, nodding softly.

Kizuki said "I thought you'd be more brave." Bullet looked ashamed and Mio said angrily "Kizuki! Enough!" Kizuki shrugged and lost interest "Whatever. Doesn't matter anyway." Bullet bit his lips and Mei frowned slightly, saying "That wasn't very nice."

Kizuki rolled her eyes, getting glared from both sides as she sighed, "Soooorry~" while eating.

Mei snorted and nudged Bullet, saying "Come on, eat! It's good. Spicy." Bullet's eyes lit up, spicy?! He ate the food and smiled happily, eating the rest slowly, trying to look decent.

This was very new for Bullet, he was beyond nervous. His entire body was shaking with anxiety. He almost turned and left at the door but Mei dragged him inside.

It wasn't his first time meeting Mei's parents… But it was his first time eating dinner with them. He was even dressed better! Hence, the shyness and anxiety.

As they ate, Kizuki asked, "Mio, did you read that book I sent you?" Mio furrowed her brows in memory, "The book… Meta Liberation War?" Kizuki nodded happily, "Yeah!" Mio shook her head, sighing "Didn't have the time, got busier recently since All-Might retired…"

Kizuki was surprised, "Oh yeah? You should read it when you have the time, it's pretty good." Bullet frowned worriedly, "Um…" Kizuki looked at him and Bullet advised kindly, "Book… Not good. Very bad. Crazy even." Kizuki frowned and replied "Oh? You've read it? A book about Metahumans without being one yourself?"

Mio frowned deeply, asking "Is that a problem for you?" Kizuki snorted, Bullet smiled kindly, nodding "Mhm. Book not so good. Ideas too crazy very very bad." he hesitated before saying to Kizuki "Forget about Book. This not good for you to think about."

Kizuki leaned over the table and sneered, "Oh? And why is that? I want to hear your reasoning, freak." Mio stood up and said coldly "I really think you should leave." Kei frowned as well and Mei was very angry.

Bullet smiled and said "Is okay. Everybody say, Bullet used to it…" Mei snorted "You're used to it? I'm not! Get the fuck out of my house!" Kizuki stared at Bullet, who advised sincerely "Book say Metahuman have abilities, why not allowed to use. Use to get what you want, sounds nice. You think after, if everybody get what they want what happen? This is impossible. Many people want same thing and fight. Even after get what you want, you only want more…"

Bullet hesitated but continued "Everybody kill for thing they want then want more, start a big war for everything. This is chaos everywhere. What different from this and wild animals… Not to mention… After fighting, strongest take everything anyway. Rebuild world but set back by hundreds of years. If world like this… All-Might emperor of the world…"

He looked at Kizuki and said after a moment of pause, "Bullet don't know what Miss Kizuki Quirk is, but Bullet tell you… Whatever you want, in world like book say, you will never get." Kizuki's eyes were already extremely angry, glaring at Bullet but he added, "Too many people strong Quirk. Book only give grand ideal scenario, everyone trust everyone… This… Bullet experience personally, completely impossible…"

He looked at Kizuki honestly, suggesting "Whoever give you book, tell you pretty idea… Not your friend. Don't care about you at all. Maybe help you but in the end, use you…" he grit his teeth and finished harshly "Kizuki die, say nothing. Don't care. Bullet suggest, leave fast before regret."

Kizuki chuckled and grabbed Bullet's collar viciously, "You think you know me, freak?!" a bright glowing gun pressed against Kizuki's head as Mio said coldly "Let him go and get out of my house. Immediately."

Mei was shocked and Kei smiled slightly, his wife was a tough cookie! He was quite happy with himself, otherwise he should've smashed Kizuki's head in with a pipe wrench.

Kizuki smiled and held up her hands, letting Bullet go as she giggled "Mio, Mio, Mio~ Finally showed some chops! Your beautiful sister, likes~!" Mio wasn't smiling, saying with an ice cold tone, "Don't come back here anymore, you're not welcome." Kizuki rolled her eyes and pursed her lips, "Alright~ See you when I see you~! Thanks for the food! Hehe~" before leaving, glancing at Bullet icily as she did so.

Kizuki left and Bullet bit his lips, muttering "Sorry." Mio waved and the gun disappeared as she smiled pinching his nose with a grin, "For what? I didn't want her here in the first place! Hehe~ I should be thanking you."

Mei shouted in shock "WAAH! MOM YOU ALMOST BLEW HER FACE OFF! AHAHAHAH! AMAZING! NO WONDER DAD DOES WHAT YOU SAY!" Kei choked on his food as Mio burst out laughing.

Bullet smiled slightly, Mei's parents were really nice. Mio was almost as beautiful as Mei in his eyes. Kei looked very intimidating but he was extremely kind.

Bullet rubbed his mask in between his palms, smiling slightly as Mei shouted and Kei told her to keep it down while Mio laughed so hard she started crying.

Bullet felt that the house was very warm. He quite liked it here.
