‘’Marry me.’’
Leona glared at the man who had the audacity to say those words, ‘’I can’t wait to kill you and you have the audacity to ask me to marry you. Aren’t you afraid I would kill you when you are sleeping?”
‘’I don’t mind.’’
‘’Get lost!’’ she snapped.
A few days later:
The man lowered his head, looking deep into her eyes, his gaze sincere, ‘’Marry me.’’
Leona looked at the man speechlessly and waved her hand, ‘’You are my ex-husband.’’
Although they were on better terms now, but there was no way they were getting romantically entangled ever again.
An eternity later:
‘’Won’t you marry me?”
Leona looked at the man who was standing at a little distance from her, tears brimmed in her eyes as she spoke, ‘’I am in a pathetic state and I might implicate you too. I don’t know what’s happening to me and I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t even know who I am or what my past is…’’
The man covered the distance between them and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, ‘’Do I look like I care?”
As his words fell, her lips were captured in a fiery kiss that knocked the breath out of her.
