Emotions and overthinking

It was cold. Cold and scary. The sound of the wind along the leaves and the haze didn’t help. Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to be here all alone this early. But there wasn’t any other choice.

Hailie pulled the hood of her coat closer so no one could see her face. What was she doing here? What made her come here all by herself? She could simply leave and come back with someone so she wouldn’t be terrified of every single shadow and sound. But something dragged her here, even though she kept telling herself she wouldn’t come.

"Hi, mom." She said even though she kept telling herself she wouldn’t talk to an empty grave like her dad.

"I don’t know why I'm here. I told dad I find it disrespectful to you to be here, but I just couldn’t bring myself to not coming at all." She crouched down next to the gravestone.

she laughed. "I know, if you were here you would tell me to go back home. That it's dangerous here. I mean what 17 year old comes to the graveyard 6 in the morning?"
