The City Lord took a sip of tea, paused for a moment, and said, "Ten thousand years ago, this part of our realm also had a Monarch, only, it is rumoured that after a great battle with another Monarch, the Monarch of our realm perished, and we became a land without one. That Monarch didn't rule us but instead, he put a curse on the people in our realm to live in dire straits and torment for generations."
Speaking here, he sighed softly, "This is the intense hatred between the two Monarchs, only that it has dragged the innocent us in. Since then, our realm no longer has night, as the starry skies disappeared from above us. As the years go by, the weather becomes hotter and hotter and the water sources are getting less and less."
