CHAPTER 44: KIDNAPPING

Everyone present watched in shock and disbelief as the product inspector was handsomely bribed with a fat sum into making a deal with Shao Linua to sell crucial information.

The look of greed on his face as he accepted money from Shao Linua was priceless.

The inspector's face was pale and he panicked "No...this is fake... you must have done advanced editing or something....I didn't sell any information"

Everyone looked at the thick skinned inspector completely stunned at his shameless denial.

Dai laughed mockingly and asked "If you didn't then please explain how the information on our products which only you had access to ended up in Shao Linua's hands"

The inspector couldn't answer but he soon quickly said "What if someone else leaked the information...." the inspector was seriously panicking.

Shao Linua had promised him that she would make sure their deal wouldn't be made known but it seemed he had made a deal with an idiot who didn't know how to clean up after herself.

The inspector's mind raced to find a way of avoiding this pit. He glanced at the nervous female inspector beside him and a ruthless light shone in his eyes.

He had to avoid this pit at all costs and desperate times called for desperate measures.

The next scene that occurred before everyone's eyes including the press stunned them beyond words.

The male product inspector suddenly pointed at the female inspector fiercely and shouted "It must have all been her...look at how nervous she is"

The lady was stunned at suddenly being pointed at. She felt fear and anger at the same time. She tried to hold her anger cause she knew she was also part of this.

She knew there was no escaping her fate cause she knew she had taken part in a crime and it seemed the company had proof against them.

The lady bit her lip and glanced at Dai whose eyes were cold and she asked "If possible...I'd like to make an announcement sir...."

Dai narrowed his eyes at her but he smiled and said "Sure but know that no matter what you say....we have proof against you too"

Dai didn't even care about the male product inspector 'He was done for no matter how he denied everything and tried to blame someone else'

The lady walked up to the miq nervously. She glanced at the crowd and said something none of them expected'

"Yes...I helped Shao Linua to get the fake products through the inspection stage at the distribution branch I work at

"I'm admitting to this because I know what I did was wrong and I'm going to have to face the authorities

"But before I do....I'd like to say something" the lady took a deep breathe.

Everyone was stunned.....this lady was admitting to breaching her contract. No one expected this...not even Feilan.

But it was at this moment that Feilan received a call from the Head chief of security of Feilan Fashion.

Feilan answered the call "Hello"

"Good afternoon Madam...there's a situation at the main gates...Miss Shao Linua is forcing herself into the place"

Feilan was stunned but then a sly smile formed on her lips and she said "Let her in"

The head of security didn't question and simply said "Right away Madam"

After ending the call....Feilan shook her head 'Linua was such a fool.....if she still had a bit of sense....she should realise that what she should be doing right now is hiding'

Feilan was anticipating the show and they hadn't even released the biggest evidence yet 'A personal confession by none other than Shao Linua herself'

The lady on the stage looked at everyone and to everyone's shock a tear slid down the lady's eyes and gawd the pained look in her eyes were so real...everyone was still.

What was going on.

"I did something wrong and I'd firstly like to apologise to Miss Shao Feilan cause I broke her trust as an employee...I'm sorry

"Secondly I will collaborate with the authorities and testify against Shao Linua cause it is true that she is the cause of Feilan Fashion's situation

"I.....I would like to say another thing. I would have never even dreamt of betraying Feilan Fashion in my life because Feilan Fashion is like a warm family to me..."

The lady's voice choked "But Shao Linua...she‐she" the lady was scared to say it.

Everyone's hearts were in their throats.

Shao Linua what....could this girl not be such a tease. What did Shao Linua do.

All cameras were on the lady. Feilan stared at the girl with narrowed eyes....the fear in the girl's eyes were real....had Shao Linua done something that Feilan hadn't looked into yet that drove this lady to breach her contract.

Feilan had first hand experience of how wicked Shao Linua was so she knew better.

"Initially Shao Linua tried to use the same tactic she used on this man here on me...money"

The lady pointed to the male product inspector whose face interchanged between red and white.

"But I didn't allow it....I have a recording of my conversation with her on my phone and I'll present it to the authorities

"But when I refused Shao Linua's proposal....she did something I never thought she was capable of inorder to threaten me into helping her"

Everyone listened with their hearts racing. Everything they were hearing sounded like what a heartless devil would do. Was it really the angel they thought they knew that did all this.

"I have....I have a 15 year old brother and he's been missing for a week because Shao Linua kidnapped him and used his life to threaten me into helping her"

Everyone gasped in horror....shock evident on their faces. Did they just hear kidnapping.

The press was immediately thrown into a frenzy....this was beyond their expectations so naturally they bombarded the lady immediately.

Cause this now a case above abuse of moral ethics alone but abuse of the law itself

"Miss.....are you joking with us"

"Miss....do you have proof for these claims"

"Miss why haven't you informed the authorities about this and do you have evidence at all"

"We need evidence.....this is crazy"

The lady gazed at the press and said with a somber expression "I have proof of what I am saying but....I didn't use this evidence because I was afraid of what Shao Linua would do to my brother

"And unlike others.....I don't have immense connections and I know I was wrong but this was the only way of ensuring my brother's safety"

The lady's voice choked. The crowd stared at the lady. Abruptly a certain reporter sneered.

Everyone's attention turned to him.

The reporter looked at the lady and said "Show us the proof of your claims...without that you're just trying to gain pity from us while framing someone else

"Plus if you have evidence....why not seek assistance from the authorities...they can help"

Some other reporters nodded agreeing with their comrade.

The lady's eyes reddening at that statement "Even if I sought help from the authorities.....would they really mind about a nameless nobody like me even if I have proof...."

The lady felt a light injustice. In this world it was money and power that did the talking...she didn't enough of both to protect herself and her loved ones.

The lady scanned the crowd hoping to find someone willing to trust her completely but everyone had their doubts...this was kidnapping they were talking about.
