CHAPTER 2: UNFORTUNATE FEMALE LEAD

Shao Feilan could still see the images that met her eyes in her fiancee's office very well.

The images were still very vivid and lively in her mind that she felt quite disgusted just thinking about it.

Her heart constricted painfully in remembrance of her ex-fiancee.

'Why Suzen...why' she couldn't help but mentally cry out as she still thought of what she had seen.

That scene of her fiancee passionately and fiercely kissing a half naked woman in his office was deeply etched in her mind.....and not just any woman but her own blood sister.

She still remembered that vicious and triumphant smirk on her sister's face as she remained sitted on top of Suzen's office desk with her office shirt buttons all open.

What stabbed her heart though and ripped it into pieces was the indifferent and irritated way Suzen Shei, her ex-fiancee had looked at her.

Her heart had fallen from the heavens and ended up in the deepest, darkest pits of hell.

She had stood deathly still as she watched him turn to met her gaze.

The moment she met those cold, lifeless and emotionless eyes....her whole world crumbled just before her eyes.

She had dropped on her knees cause her mind had completely blacked out.

Tears flowed endlessly but no sound was heard.

Her heart had felt like a billion little needles were poking through it.

Her gaze remained on Suzen the entire time hoping that he would say something...explain something...but no, he just glanced at her and indifferently said "Get out"

She'd felt like someone had poured a bucket of cold water on her to wake her up from her fantasized relationship.

She knelt their emotionless.

Was this still the same man who had dotted on her and said he would love her to no end.

Was he still the man that had proposed to her two weeks back.

Was he the man she had poured her very soul out onto....was he the man she had trusted with her deep secrets.

She didn't know the man before her....he looked like a distant stranger all of a sudden.

But she didn't know why...why was this happening....was she at fault somewhere or was it him...

She had looked into the man's eyes with her wet amber eyes and she had asked with trembling lips "Why Suzen....why"

Suzen Shei had narrowed his eyes at her dangerously but before he could answer...a smug voice sounded from beside him.

A lady wrapped her arms around Suzen proactively and softly said.

"Am sorry...Feilan...but Suzen said he likes me more than you...he quite likes how proactive I am in our relationship....unlike you...."

"How could you make the young master of a prestigious family like the Shei wait for you....no..no..no Feilan....that won't do"

"But don't worry....I don't mind filling in your gap....I can't bear watch my master be poorly handled by your incompetent hands Feilan"

Shao Linua, Feilan's sister spoke in a soft and lady like manner but her words were more vicious than death's maw.

She was clearly insinuating that Shao Feilan was incompetent in matters concerning men and relationships.

So she had shamelessly taken care of the issue and snatched her sister's fiancee.

Feilan was still and her gaze remained on Suzen wondering what he would say about her sister's comments.

Much to her disappointment.....Suzen didn't say a thing and actually seemed to agree with her vile sister.

Feilan's whole body shuddered uncontrollably from shock.

So she had lost her fiancee because she wasn't touchy enough with him....she had wanted to keep herself pure for that special night when they were finally official.

Suzen couldn't wait that long and so he went for her sister who readily threw herself at him.

Feilan's lips had curved into a self mocking smile and she had laughed without even realising it.

It wasn't her fault....so what if she didn't allow to sleep with him yet...it was supposed to be Suzen's responsibility as a patient man to wait...that was if he really cared for her.

This went to show just how shallow Suzen's love for her had been.

It had entirely been based on his lust for her body.

Feilan dejectedly stood up as though she was a zombie.

She wasn't crying but rather smiling mockingly at herself. How had she never noticed how truly shallow Suzen's love for her had been.

She looked at him and his eyes were still the same cold and distant eyes without a hint of love.

She didn't know why she had to be the unfortunate female lead in this life....she had all the characteristics

..a dispecable family..

..a hateful sister..

..a cheating boyfriend..

..and no one to give her an ounce of support..

Feilan chuckled as she realised how cliche her situation was.

She looked at her ring finger that sported a pretty and expensive engagement ring. It had a nice and big azure blue diamond.

She quietly removed the ring from her finger and calmly walked to the lounge area under her sister and ex's gaze.

She had placed the ring on the coffee table and calmly glanced at those two shameless people with visible scorn.

She had turned around and left that room without a second thought.

Though her heart was shattered...she couldn't give her enemies the satisfaction of seeing her break completely.

But now in the solidarity of her room...in the secrecy of this lonely room, she could cry and get rid of as much pain as she could.

She remained in her room upto nine in the night. She couldn't sleep and so she decided to do something.

She didn't even realise what she was doing and simply moved on autopilot.

She was still in her office suit.

A knee length dark blue pencil skirt and a snow white office shirt plus black stilettos.

She looked sophisticated yet still held a captivating charm.

She left her room and went to the garage where she swiftly entered a black inconspicuous car.

The night was still young and so she decided to do what other people did when they felt depressed.

She was gonna drink to her hearts content until she didn't have a single thought of that day's events.

But she couldn't drink here...that dear butler of hers cared too much for her and would definitely find a way of keeping her from drinking.

.....
