The week passed. Everything went normal the only difference was that the boy was helping Niffty around. The door that Charlie had seen in the boy mind was still there and had not repaired itself which relieved her. Charlie did want to break the door as it took her curiosity, but the boy refused letting it happen even when Alastor asked him. The boy started to refuse letting seen what is in his mind the boy eyes started to show hostility whenever asked about Charlie can look in the memories of the boy.
The boy still had no name even though he was asked about his name, but he had none. He had also not accepted any name they gave to him. He did not want a name but rather just be called boy Charlie found out by reading the name that being called boy feels natural for him.
Alastor was in his room looking at the hunter shotgun. The hunter shotgun was hanging on the wall at a gun display surrounded in thin glass. Alastor was just looking at it not smiling there was not any emotion on his face the eyes were blank and silence in the room. The silence was broken with a knock on his door. Alastor did not answer first but after the second knock he answered.
"Come in" His was did not sound cheerful like it would usually be.
Charlie opened the door. She entered the room closing the door behind her while staring at Alastor not taking her eyes off from him.
"Charlie dear I can feel you staring at me may I know why?"
"Don't you know what you did wrong?"
"I have no idea what you are talking about my dear"
"Your trickery Alastor. I'm talking about the trick you pulled on me when I investigated your memories You made me only see the things you wanted me to see I trusted you that you would made me see "everything" of the adulthood of yours but there were many missing gaps".
Charlie did not sound angry but disappointed. She was disappointed that Alastor had not trusted her but is tricking and lying to her. Charlie did not say anything waiting for Alastor to say anything as she had suspected the last two weeks that when she investigates his memories that there was something wrong. This was how she came to that conclusion and why she came to Alastor and confronting him about that.
"Not everyone wants to remember the things of the past and sometimes someone doesn't want to tell the things about his own past"
Alastor turned to Charlie. Looking into her eyes he did not show any sign of emotion of his face like he was just like a doll if he had also not moved. The two were only staring in each other eyes not saying a single word making the room be quite again. But Alastor sighed in the end knowing that Charlie will not let go of him this time no matter how hard he tries.
"Tell me what you figured out first"
"That the memories you showed and let me see had many holes in it that seemed weird. Like how you were acting, sudden mode swings or even doing things that you did not do before. I noticed that 2 weeks ago and picked every little detail up of what I remembered"
"You did it well my dear" he clapped his hands.
"You are right I left many things out from the memories of my past as I' am trying to block all the memories with the boy"
"Isn't that cruel of you that you want to block memories of someone who is there right now?" She asked it serious.
Alastor thought for a moment what to say there. He had to think for a moment, so he doesn't give a wrong answer and not explain it twice. Then he knew what to tell her Alastor picked the best answer he thought about.
"It may sound cruel but remembering the boy of the past would also be cruel to me as he is too different than what he looked like in the past. He acts the same way he did when I was alive, but I saw how he looked like. You all didn't see it but the boy you see is just a disguise you can say an illusion this is not his real look. He has many wounds on his body and I don't want some sort of emotions coming up because the boy I knew from the past must hide how he really looks like"
A clear answer of why he did not show it to her. While making it sound like it would also be bad for Alastor himself. Charlie was still looking at Alastor, but she opened the door.
"I apologize for coming so suddenly Alastor" And she left the room closing the door.
2 hours before the extermination happen.
Ok so I want to say the next following pages won’t be at 1000 words range anymore but at least above the 500 words up as always writing 1000 words seemed too unreasonable for me because if looked at other novels, they also don’t write 1000 words for every page.... maybe 250-400 words.
