Meeting his family.

Finally, they arrived at their destination, the Walkers mansion, a six story building located in the west of the Walker's Estate, the view of the great mansion through the transparent window of the car made her Izabelle's jaw drop as the driver drove them in.

She turned to look at Raymond after the car was parked, but his gaze was fixed on his phone, a cold gaze to be specific.

Izabelle wondered what happened to her husband within a short period of time because, at the moment, she was able to guess that he was angry.

He raised his head up just to meet Izabelle's eyes fixed on him, but immediately their eyes met, she turned to the other side.

"You can go on without me," he said, and Izabelle turned around with a question mark face. His actions made her more confused.

In her mind, 'How do you expect me to go on when you are fully aware that i know nobody here. Did I do something bad?' She asked herself in her mind.

But he ignored her and returned his back to what he was doing.

He was watching a video sent to him by Tony, a video of his grandparents and Andrew Bells, who also invited his child, Christian Bells, even after Raymond had warned them not to do so.

They were partying at the dining table, obviously waiting for them.

His hands turned into a fist, Izabelle could feels coldness oozing from every of his pores, almost everything his grandparents does annoys him and he knew if he cancels this tonight, he would never have time for it again.

Raymond cold and threatening gaze made Izabelle worried.

She really wanted to ask what was wrong, but he was ignoring her.

"Troy, open the door." He said without looking up, just like he had ordered, Troy, his personal driver, got down from the car and opened the door for him.

Immediately, he got down from the car, his presence made his employees, who had been waiting outside bow.

Izabelle watched as they bowed before him like a king it and her jaw dropped again. He turned to her and met her staring.

"Won't you get down?" He asked, raising one of his elegantly carved eyebrows as if smirking. Although his voice was low.

It took seconds for Izabelle to close her mouth and process his words.

In response to his words, she nodded and got down, to her surprise, the employees bowed down the moment she stepped down from the car, she felt so honoured that she couldn't help but smile brightly at them.

When she turned to face the building, before her stood a gigantic building, colourful lights shining from every corner of the building to her left was a fleet of exquisite cars.

Everywhere was screaming riches!!!

At that point, Izabelle felt like she made a mistake when she said her husband was rich because this is being wealthy, not rich!!!

A beautiful smile curved up on her face as she moved near Raymond.

Just then, she heard sounds coming from inside of the building, and it seems the source of his sound was nearing them.

Izabelle wanted to hold hands with him, but she was scared to initiate something like that. The chattering became more audible.

With increased heartbeat and without looking at him, she moved near him, slowly she intertwined her fingers with his.

To her dismay, he didn't protest, but Izabelle was scared to look at him because she didn't know what his expression would be at that moment.

Both of them moved towards the entrance of the building, just as they were about to open the door, Raymond's grandmother, accompanied with some maids, opened it from inside, the sight that welcomed her when she opened the door made her exclaimed happily.

"Oh my God!!! Honey you need to see this, Raymond has brought an angel home," Genevieve said and before Izabelle could even greet her, she threw all her weight on her, hugging her tightly as if they were the couples.

She didn't even ask Raymond if this was his fiancée, because she knew Raymond would never hold hands with any girl.

"You are such a beautiful angel," Genevieve complimented Izabelle." She didn't even spare her grandson, Raymond, who was looking at her intently, a glance.

All her attention was directed towards the beautiful girl standing before her.

"Thank you, ma."

"You are so pleasant. What is your name?"

"Izabelle."

"Raymond, you really deserve an award for this beautiful girl," she turned to Raymond and said.

"Can we go inside now; at least you have seen her." He answered as if what they were saying was actually none of his business.

Raymond said before leaving there to meet his PA that has been trying to approach him.

"Why have you been disturbing me with calls since?"

"Am sorry, sir, but I wanted to let you know that... He paused before continuing.

"Christian is in there."

"I know."

"Yes, sir." Tony said and bowed.

His grandparents have failed to realize that the Bells family are supposed to be enemies to them, but unfortunately, Andrew Bells is his grandfather best friend.

In the whole of Braxton island, Raymond comes first among the top business tycoons, and the third position goes to Christian Bells.

For years, Christian has been trying different means to dismiss Raymond from the first position, and this made Raymond see him as an enemy.

Just as Tony said, as he neared the dining room, he was already hearing christian's loud voice. He really detested his grandparents at that point.

What he planned for, was just him, Izabelle and his grandparents because his uncle and cousins were out of the country at that moment.

Immediately, he entered the dining room, he met Christian's eye fixed on Izabelle.

"Izabelle, you are the most beautiful angel I have ever set my eyes on. Everything about you is pretty." Christian complemented Izabelle.

Raymond threw Christian a deadly gaze, so deadly and chilly that Christian noticed someone eyes on him.

He turned and met Raymond's eyes and glared back at him for some seconds before saying "hi Raymond," in a friendly manner, making everyone turn their head to look at him.

"Oh my lovely son, you are here. Come and sit beside me." Christian's father said and pulled a seat beside him for Raymond, trying to act like they have a casual relationship.

After everyone had introduced themselves and exchanged pleasantries, they were all in party mood, except Raymond and Christian, who were throwing deadly gazes to each other.

This was unknown to everyone present there except Tony, who was standing at the back.

Almost everything there seems annoying to Raymond, especially his grandparents acting like they did nothing wrong.

Izabelle on the other hand was so happy, meeting and interacting with wealthy people changed her perception on how they behave, everyone was nice to her, except her cold stone husband, who was just sipping his drink. Obviously Raymond parents like her and they accept her as a member of their family.

"Izabelle what about your parents? How are they doing?" Andrew asked amidst the partying mood.

"They are doing great in heaven." She answered with a small smile on her lips. "But, I have a younger brother."

"Don't worry about that, we are here with you." Genevieve said and patted her back.

Raymond looked at his wife, even though she spoke about them casually, she doesn't seem fine talking about that.

Genevive ordered the maids to bring in more foods, and they started partying, they all thought it was a joke when Genevieve told them that Raymond was bringing a girl home, but to their surprise he didn't just bring a girl home, he brought an angel home.

Thankfully, Izabelle wasn't asked the question she has been avoiding in her mind because she couldn't imagine opening her mind to say that she asked him out.

"Raymond, where did you guys meet?"

Christian suddenly asked, and he sounded as if he was interrogating him.

But Raymond kept his cool. He sipped his wine before answering.

"We met in a gym," he said before sipping his wine again, trying to make things flow naturally.

"That's nice, I never knew that you were interested in beautiful girls, Christian continued just to earn a "hmmm" from him.

"Now, let's get straight to the point," Robert said.

"We are assembled here tonight because we wanted to meet you," he turned to Izabelle, "and we also want to choose a date for your wedding."

Wedding? They didn't even give them time to date properly, they are already planning their wedding, Raymond thought in his mind, and he was sure it was his grandmother's idea.

Izabelle didn't know what you say, she looked at Raymond, but he wasn't looking at her side again. She was scared to say something that would annoy him.

"If both of you don't mind, I already choose a date on your behalf," Genevieve spoke with what seemed like a mischievous smile plastered on her face.

Raymond was so pissed at that moment, but he didn't say anything.

"What about we the 14th of next month?"

Izabelle's cough followed her words, Genevieve words always render Raymond speechless.

"Mother, are you telling me now that you already chose a wedding day for me?" Raymond asked with narrowed eyes.

"Yes, I chose it because we need to do it quickly, and your cousins agreed with the date too."

"I agree with you, my love," Robert said and caressed his wife's hair, giving Raymond no room to protest. Others that were present there also agreed.

All the couples there were romantic towards each other except Raymond and his wife who didn't even speak to each other throughout, anytime Izabelle wants to say something to Raymond, he would turn his gaze to another thing as if he was avoiding her on purpose.

Don't worry about the wedding preparations we are in control, Izabelle, the old people said in unison.
