Chapter 37: A tough opponent

Six months has already went by like a flash. Not much happened during this time, we were just training Ash and Lucy with Jasmine so that they create they own fighting style while clearing some low difficulty dungeons, to be honest it was really boring, I was in need of some action.

Ash seemed to already have a basic understanding of fighting with his electricity magic, while Lucy had to start from the beginning and learn how to efficiently use her metal affinity in a fight.

After this period was done I somehow convinced Jasmine to separate into two team, Jasmine and Arthur, the other team is me, Lucy and Ash. These events bring us to the present.

Me and my team are in front of a cave situated in the middle of a big mountain right inside beasts glades, the classic destination for any adventurer from Xyrus city..

"Guys, apparently this dungeon is hard it was deemed A class, both of you are still C rank so it will be very hard to clear for you two, if we let our guard down just for a second we can be killed at any moment. Do you feel that you're ready?"

"Yeah man! Im always ready to beat some monsters." He was determined.

"Come on Meliodas, as long as your here everything is going to be fine." She confidently said with her hands on her waist.

"I see, in that case let's get going." I said with a smile.

Stepping into the dungeon, I sudently felt the temperature rise, and it kept rising the more we got deeper. An endless amout of mana beasts were showing up but they weren't that strong.

I kept slaying the beasts with ease using my dagger while Ash didn't even bother to use his weapon, he simply paralysed them using his electrecity from a long range each time they got close to him while Lucy just finished them off with small metal spikes shot into their heads.

"Man seriously, if A rank dungeons are this easy then we should do more of them, we will become rich in no time" Said Ash swinging his chain around reminding me of Halfdan from Vinland Saga.

"Maybe you are right, but it is a bit weird, if they ranked it as A then it truly must be hard..." I said "Maybe Im just overthinking." I muttered under my breath.

We kept getting deeper inside, at one point I noticed that the ground had cracks on it with some light coming out from them.

"Guys! Look at those cracks on the floor there is light coming out of them." i said.

"Maybe there is an underground floor of this dungeon?" Lucy said pulling a hair strand back into place behind her ear.

"There is only one way to know" I said placing the dagger back into Amaya.

"What do you mea..." As Ash wanted to ask, I punched the ground with full might.

*BOOM!*

I punched the cracked ground destroying it completely for us to fall to in a place that can be described in one word. 'Hell'. Ash landed safely while I catched Lucy in a princess carry.

"Hehe thanks." After putting her down I finally gave a good look at the place.

There was fire everywhere, lava mixed with magma in the corners of the room. It was so hot in here making us sweat on the spot. Looking around I saw 11 minotaurs that were three meters tall, only one of them was huge, I mean reaaaally huge at least 10 or 15 meters tall. He seemed to be the boss since they were surrounding him.

"Ash, Lucy, they are fire minautors they are strong but a little bit slow you both can fight the small ten but be careful, I will deal with the big guy"

"Okay Mel, let's fuck them up!" Ash started swinging his chain faster.

"You can count on us Meliodas!" Lucy clenched her fists as two metalic gloved formed on them.

Crackling sounds popped in the air around Ash as his curly hair made in draids stood on its end by the electric current coursing through his body. There were currents of yellow lightning enveloping him as he dashed towards one of the minautors punching it on it's stomach.

The minautor didn't even budge from the attack and extanded its hand to have a grasp on Ash, but he was too slow for him as he jumped back taking his chain from around his waist and threw it to wrap ir around the beast's arms and a current of yellow lightning rapidly crawled on the chain to reach the minautors arms.

Ash's parts of body were turning into lighting sparkles when moving at a certain speed, making each time some of his body parts completly disapear and turn into electrecity currents.

The attack made the monster's arms unable to move paralysing them temporarily, Ash exploited this opportunity to come closer to it at high speed and jump on it's shoulders to strangle it with the long chain to it's death, not able to even resist.

At the same time, another minotor was rushing towards Lucy, letting it closer to her she lifted her hand and metal came out of the ground to trap the beast's legs unabling it from moving.

She began running towards it and jumped meters in the air by reinforcing her body in mana as she punched down the head of the beast making one of it's two horns fall down.

The attack didn't do much damage, so she turned her gloves into blades and kept slashing the monster's body. "HAAAAAA!" She let out a battle cry as she continued cutting its body until the monster fell backwardd dead.

"Two down, eight to go!" x2 Both Ash and Lucy expressed giving each other a head nod with a big excitement smile.

While they are fighting the mosnters, I am now analysing the red huge minautor to see if it has any weak points and this bastard dosen't have any.

"Okay let's try this" I waved my dagger to the side.

[FIRE STORM]

An enormous blue flames storm surrounded the minautor devouring it completely, the minautor did not even try to dodge or make a noise. The minautor who was standing in the storm waved his huge mace creating a gust of wind that puted out the fire.

"So fire dosen't work on it huh?"

I tightly held my dagger and pushed on the ground going to the beast in a blur aiming towards it's shoulder, but the dagger couldn't even leave a scrach on it.

"What is that durability?! It didn't even leave a scratch. In that case..."

Landing on the other side, a punch was directed to my tiny body compared to the beast but It was slow for me, I jumped to the side leaving the punch violently land and make a big crater on the ground.

[KAMI CHIGIRI]

I cuted the hand of the monster a thousand times in an instant, it is one of the coolest abilities Meliodas has, but unfortunatly it only left superficial injuries.

"What the fuck, even that didn't wor..."

*SLAM!*

*BOOOM*

The mace landed on my head throwing me like a baseball to the other side of the room destroying the wall.

"MELIODAS! ARE YOU ALL RIGHT?" Lucy cried.

Pushing the wall rubbles out of my way, I reassured both of them with blood coming out from my hairline passing through my forehead then on my right eye. "Im okay, don't worry and keep fighting!"
