Coffee talks

Omega forgetting to bring heat suppressant is the same as cops forgetting their gun. You are just inviting trouble to yourself. I grabbed her wrist and quickly pulled her towards my car. As soon as I reached it, I saw the car keys near the first tire. I picked it up and opened the car. There was a small blue pouch in my glove compartment. I pulled out a few of my heat suppressants from it and handed them to her. The moment she saw pills, her eyes widen in disbelief,

"To-Tony, Why do you have those?" she asked, looking puzzled.

"That's not important right now," I answered shortly, getting the water bottle kept near the gears, "Quickly take it," I said, offering her the bottle, "The security will be here any minute"

"Y-You really c-called the security?" she asked, her eyes watering.

"Take it" I almost ordered her. Doesn't she realize what position she will be in once the security arrives?

Nodding, she chugged down three pills. She quietly sat in the car after I asked her to do so. The security arrived well after 10 minutes. How could they be so late? Six of them came running and started looking in different directions. Two of them noticed me and asked what happened. After explaining them briefly, I became angry and asked,

"Why were you all so late?? If I was not here, the guest could have done something unforgivable"

"Forgive me, sir!! The utility vehicles were all locked off, so we had to hurry on feet" one of the security guy spoke apologetically

"I will speak with the Head of the Security tomorrow to keep one of the utility vehicles out for emergency purposes," I said, feeling extremely annoyed, This was no joke!! "Anyways, take care of the guest, he is in that corner," I said pointing to where I made him unconscious.

"Yes sir, we'll check it immediately. Thank you," the security guy said

He gave me a short bow and hurried to the corner. I saw them checking on the guest and then picking him up. When I had confirmed that the guest was well enough, I got in my car and drove off.

It was so late. Twen must be waiting for me. I hope he had fallen asleep.

"I am sorry" I heard, Tanya mumble, "You had to witness-"

"Tanya, what happened to you was wrong. You should not apologize for something that was not even your fault" I lightly reprimanded.

"Bu-u"

"I am not saying it because you are my friend, I am saying it because it is the truth" I asserted.

Tanya nodded, but I noticed a drop of tear leak down her eyes. I felt upset seeing a bright smiling girl in this miserable state.

After a long pause, Tanya asked me quietly, looking more at ease and control, "How did you manage to keep your sub-gender under wraps with these?"

I took a quick peek to see she was pointing at my heat suppressant pills. Of course, she guessed I was an Omega. Beta and Alpha would not just happen to have heat suppressants. I sighed audibly, before replying,

"I'll explain everything once we reach my place"

Tanya gave a light nod, before looking out of the window. The next 20 minutes of the ride went in silence. Upon reaching home, I opened the door quietly but, to my astonishment, Twen's voice rang out from within his bedroom,

"Mommy is that you?"

It was nearly 12 am and he was still awake. "Munchkin, why are you awake so late?"

The moment he heard my voice, he immediately came out but stopped in surprise on seeing Tanya. Tanya too seemed a little befuddled. I could see curiosity and confusion clear in both of their eyes. I knew why Tanya's eyes were narrowing with suspicion and she was looking from me to Twen. While Twen had an odd expression on his face, somewhere between shock and irritation. I suddenly recalled Fred's situation and felt a little amused. He and Tanya have met before but the situation was a little different this time. Tanya came to my house so late for the first time, while Tanya assumed that I was Twen's dad, but now, she may get another picture.

"Won't you greet her?" I asked Twen, with a smile

"He-hello" Twen greeted in a shy tone

"Hey Twen" Tanya greeted back but continued staring blankly at Twen

I pointed at the couch and asked Tanya to sit as I strolled to the washroom to get refreshed. I saw Twen still loitering around. I came out and took him in my arms and asked him why was he up so late.

He pouted as he answered, "I was worried"

"I am so sorry to worry you. I'll try that it doesn't happen again, okay?" I consoled

"Okay," he said, moodily

"Don't be mad!" I said patting his head, "Now go to bed. You have classes tomorrow right?" I put him down and kissed his cheek. I always disappoint him. For the sake of Twen, I have to accelerate my restaurant's plans.

"Okay Mommy," he said pouting and turned to go but stopped and said, "Mommy, we have a sports event next Wednesday"

He stated it instead of asking me to come to the event. I knew the reason. I haven't been able to make it last year but this year I will make it even if I have to work overtime to get an off on that day. It wouldn't be right for me to leave him alone on important days of his life.

"I'll join you," I said with confidence.

"REALLY?" he asked with sparkling eyes and a wide smile.

"Yes, really" I promised.

He ran back, hugged me before hopping back to his room bidding me with a cheerful 'Goodnight'!

I bade him 'Night' too and went to the kitchen to make some coffee. I came back with two steaming cups of coffee. Tanya was silently watching all that was happening and quietly accepted the cup. While she sipped, she kept glancing at me. I expected her to ask me something about Twen but instead, she asked

"How do you manage?"

I smiled as I took a sip of my coffee, "Twen is a very mature kid. If he hadn't been so smart-"

"No, I don't mean that," she interrupted, "I-I mean being an Omega? Especially being a male Omega?"

That was not what I was expecting so I looked at her, a little amazed. I thought the easiest way to answer this question was to show her than giving long details. I kept the coffee cup on the table, picked up my hair, and turned my nape towards her. She saw my bite mark and held her breath. After turning around, I continued drinking my coffee. There was a long pause after the revelation. Tanya finally put down her coffee mug and asked gravely,

"Who is your bonded Alpha?"
