39. One good news

After spending some time at the restaurant, the group soon left and went back home to the villa. Alex drove the car while Lillie sat beside him.

Inside the restaurant, they didn't say much and Kevin was exceptionally quiet as if he was afraid of saying the wrong words and getting punished. His silence made her wonder just what Alex was planning to do to them because it was obvious that he blamed them for what has happened and they also blamed themselves as ironic as that sounded, it was the truth.

"Xander..." Lillie called hesitatingly. Alex looked at her briefly before looking back at the road.

"What are you thinking, my love?" He asked.

"What are you going to Raal and Kevin? It wasn't their fault," she said looking at him. "Even I didn't see her coming and there was no way they would have known what she was going to say and stopped from saying them out loud."
