My Fault

My name is May Gem. Today, I was now in a total worst situation of all.

"Lux? Elm? Where are you?"

Yes that's right! I'm all alone after the light magic spell that Lux casted.

I am all alone, the surrounding is so quiet. I'm trembling, and I never expected that this would happen. I wonder, where are they?

"Lux? Elm?"

I walked further from my current location to find them, however, I don't know the direction, I forgot the path we went to. At any moment, the sky is about to turn dark, and this is the worst ever. Will I die? Is this the end?

I wonder why I would like to go here, even though I came here for that Spirit Stone. This has been crossing my mind lately from the moment I went training with Lux and Elm. It's as if I want to go here with different reason. I was happy and excited when we are about to head in this demon forest. But why? I feel there's something is going on my head.

But what I saw in my head which is going to be my memory from my past life, is a man wearing a black coat and he is holding something when I am about to run into him.

The color of the leaves are red and orange, some are withered, some are on fire. Since my field of view is smaller, my eyesight is affected. I wonder why and something's wierd. These plants and trees are on fire, but why aren't they burning? I can see some leaves are withered, but why some leaves on fire aren't?

Where am I anyway? Did I go further from the edge of this demon forest?

"Hahahaha!" An unknown evil laugh.

I tried to calm myself, I hold my sword on the back to get ready. I prepared my crimson stone enchantment just in case I need more power.

BOOM!

A massive explosion appeared farther from behind. The explosion caused tremor on the land, it is extremely strong, the tremor lasts for about twenty seconds and if I measure the magnitude, it might even surpass magnitude 8.0, I can tell that this earthquake reaches from here and the nearby kingdom around the eastern region of the continent. The most affected kingdom was possibly the Kingdom of Liffos since it is located near at its boundary. The heat coming from the explosion was also extremely hot, thanks to my crimson stone enchantment "Barrier" it protected me from being burned, it also protected me from the strong wind or shockwave from that explosion. From the explosion, it caused a majority damages from its surrounding, my crimson stone remained active as the hot air remains. But where that evil laugh comes from? And that explosion, who or what caused that?

"How did you get here?" A stranger appeared from behind and asked me.

I immediate pointed the sword to "him". Yes, that stranger is a guy, he is totally suspicious from appearing out of nowhere. He seems calm even after that explosion happened, and I bet he is a demon just like that tanned demon girl we have encountered earlier. He walked closer and suddenly I feel like my condition is back at the better state, my field of view returned to normal which makes my eyesight better.

"Huh? Wha? What happened? I feel better."

Even after that, he is still suspicious, he is a demon alright, I knew it. However, this guy's skin is white, he seems different from that girl earlier. All I know is that demon was supposed to have tanned skin. But why this guy is not?

"Wo… Who are you? Don't come closer!" I asked and walked backwards.

After asking, he didn't even respond and walked closer to me. I'm trembling out of fear and I am getting nervous. By the time he really did get closer to me, I closed my eyes and swing the sword to slash him. I don't know if I did hit him, I swing my sword many times and I feel like I'm hitting him, but for some reason, why it feels like his body is tough as rock?

"Why are you slashing the rock?" He asked.

He has spoken, then I opened my eyes, and I literally hitting the rock instead of him. How did that happened? How did I get in this position? I didn't even move a bit from my current place.

"You are swinging the sword with your eyes closed, are you an idiot?"

"Wha… what?!"

"Don't worry, I am not a demon. I came here for a certain mission. Let me introduce myself…"

"Was their name are Lux Solis and Efren Lima?" He asked.
