Who stole?

The next day. At the staff room, Fanqia's mother entered, asking, "Who is Mr. Krish here?"

Me. Zang gave a questionable brow, querying, "Who are you, madam?"

Fanqia's mother's confident-coated raising brows triggered his old memory. He quickly figured out, "Fanqia's mother?"

"Yes, Mr. Zang."

He embarrassedly smiled and hedged, "My apology. I have had problems with my memory power recently."

However, Fanqia's mother appeared to dodge his unnecessary explanation with a little sigh.

"You can find him in the playground, Mam." Mr. Zang informed her. She instantly left the staff room.

There, soon after she found him dragging Chang Xin forcefully towards Geng Xi, she furrowed her brows.

"I won't! Let me go!" Chang Xin screamed as her friends watched and laughed at her.

"You should!" He threw her onto Geng Xi and ordered, "Go and pluck those grasses with him. I won't change your pair even if you cry."

Geng Xi grasped her hand and blocked her from running away.

"Krish! I will not let this aside once you start liking me!" Chang Xin firmly declared, breathing heavily with revenge-raging eyes.

"Let's see after I fall for you." Krish casually said, heading to the other students to point out their spots.

Fanqia's mother muttered under her breath, "This mannerless girl!"

Thereafter, she approached Krish with a flirting smile. "Are you Mr. Krish?"

Krish turned and looked at her.

"Mama?" Fanqia's shock earned Suillin's attention.

"Why is your mother here? Did you do anything nasty in your house secretly?" Suillin asked, like teasing.

She slapped his thigh and hid behind him, peeking at her mother.

Krish politely responded, "Yes, Are you..."

"Fanqia's mother." She finished off his words. Witnessing the smooth and shiny structure of his handsome sliding face, she became mute immediately. "You are so handsome," she slipped her words, accidentally causing Krish to shy a little with an embarrassed smile.

"Mama!" Fanqia rushed to them. At the same time, Chang Xin startled and hid herself in front of Geng Xi, causing him to look back at what startled her this much.

Fanqia mother? He covered Chang Xin instantly. That led to their proximity becoming paltry. Chang Xin grasped his shirt and leaned her head down in order to not get in sight of Fanqia's mother.

"What are you doing here, Mom?" Fanqia approached her as if Krish were invincible to her.

"I'm here to know about who stole your pencil box." She informed him, switching her gaze to Krish, who had just brought back his glimpse from Chang Xin. She then asked politely, "Sorry for interrupting in the middle of class, Mr. Krish. It's not even been one month since the school opened, and she lost her pencil box with her whole set of pencils. It would be nice if you focused on your class students so that they wouldn't do bad things like this."

"Mom!" Fanqia sounded guilty. Chang Xin's grip on Geng Xi's shirt went vehement. Geng Xi acknowledged that she felt guilty too. Thereafter, Suillin approached Fanqia.

"Do you suspect anyone, Fanqia?" Asked Krish. Fanqia shook her head off immediately in controversy.

Her mother saw Krish and appeared to be taking her response mindfully. So she rushed, "I have a suspect on one person."

Three of their eyeballs struck towards her, even Geng Xi too.

"Who is that?" Asked Krish.

"A student named Chang Xin."

For Krish, it was like being thrown away. He dragged an instant frown and altered his voice to be a little rude, knowingly saying, "Why? Because she is the only poor student studying in this class?"

Fanqia spotted a spark of growl in his facial expression.

"Maybe," Fanqia's mother replied without hesitation.

Krish couldn't help but scowl before proclaiming, "She may be short of money, but not a thief. I do know all about my students, Mam. I will tell Fanqia to be careful from now on. But you should stop underestimating students just because they are poor financially."

"Uhm.. No, I didn't mean it that way exactly, sir. I just said, maybe. It is nice to know that nowadays teachers respect their students." Fanqia's mother lowered her tone immediately since she witnessed the fury that Krish expressed without even minding that he was talking to a woman.

Krish bowed.

She bowed back, embarrassed a little in front of that student. She then walked off of them, giving a death stare to Chang Xin, who was hiding in Geng Xi.

A memory of Chang Xin always being rude to rich people triggered his mind. She is not wrong, though. He thought to himself.

Geng Xi pulled Chang Xin up once confirmed Fanqia's mother left the playground. "She left," he said, adjusting her few stands of hair bangs.

"I didn't steal." With a pitiful look on her face, she said.

"We know," Geng Xi comforted her, stammering to approach her shoulder friendly.

"Chang Xin!"

Krish called. Geng Xi and Chang Xin both rubber-necked at him.

"Come to the staff room," he sounded, and he left the lead position on the monitor before leaving the playground.

"I didn't," she moaned, appearing to be sobbing.

"May I come with you for your safety?" Geng Xi asked as Suillin and Fanqia rushed to them.

She refused, "No."

"Chang Xin. I didn't mean to bring her here. She came suddenly. I have no idea about this, trust me." Fanqia was trying hard to enunciate that she was not part of her mother's inquiry today.

Chang Xin followed Krish once after giving a brief nod to Fanqia, which made it difficult to differentiate between forgiveness and anxiety.

"Does that mean she doesn't mind my words?" Fanqia doubted herself.

"Maybe." Suillin poured some oil into her negative thoughts as Geng Xi tensely saw her misery raged walk.

Inside the staff room, Krish pulled out the drawer and picked up an energy powder as Chang Xin came to him. Even before her feet reached his seat, he headed outside, saying, "Follow me."

"Where?" She questioned him back.

He veered around. Crossing his hands across his chest, he raised his eyebrow questionably at her. That's all. She muted and followed him without any objection.
