"What happened here?" Rosemary demanded as she entered the laundry room, her sharp tone cutting through the air like a blade.
Eliana froze, unsure of what to say. Her mind raced as she stared at the stained dress, trying to piece together what had gone wrong.
"I… I don't know," Eliana stammered, her voice trembling. "I don't know how it happened. When I put the dress in the washer, there was nothing there that could've caused this."
"She's lying," Amelia interrupted with a sneer, her words dripping with malice. "She did this out of spite."
Eliana's head snapped toward Amelia, her eyes wide with disbelief. Out of spite? What was she talking about?
"That's not true!" Eliana protested, her voice rising in desperation. "Why would I do something like this on purpose? I like it here! I love Luna Rose!"
Rosemary crossed her arms and fixed Eliana with a stern, unyielding glare. "Then explain to me how this happened. And don't lie to me, Eliana."
