Alpha Jasper exploded in anger when Valentina mentioned the vampire. His face flushed red as he slammed his fist down on the table, causing the room to tremble.
"How did he get inside our territory?" he roared, his voice reverberating through the hall.
Valentina flinched but stood her ground. She had expected this reaction. "He tricked me," she admitted, her voice steady but tense. "He made me believe he was just a stray wolf. I didn't know until it was too late."
Jasper's eyes darkened with fury. "A vampire in our lands, under your watch?" His anger was palpable, each word laced with the sting of betrayal. "Do you have any idea what could have happened? If he's here, there's a bigger threat at play."
"I know," Valentina replied, her tone now firm as she met Jasper's intense gaze. "I didn't bring him here. He fooled me. But I'm telling you this now so we can figure out how to deal with him."
