LAURA'S POV.

My body shook as I felt a hand graze through my skin slightly, I popped open my eyes almost immediately thanks to my self awareness.

I look up to see his pair of eyes boring straight into mine with the most selfish intent ever as a wicked grin plays around the corner of his lips.

"Lucas' ' I manage to say as I move away from. him, he doesn't seem to be so bothered by my reaction, well given the fact that he had been the one to take me without my consent.

"Whatever it is, whatever plan you have I'm your head, whatever little speech you intend to give it's not going to work" he says almost like he had read my mind, I swallow hard as my eyes trace around the room.

I've never been in here that's given, I clean out most rooms but certain rooms had not been in used in years and I'm not bothered about cleaning them while some rooms are off limits for me and the maids at higher hierarchy are left to tend to such rooms,

Now that I think of it, the inky room of a royal person I had tended to is that of Nathan's and it's not much of a surprise to me now that I see they all had their crafty reasons for keeping him in check.

"what's with that sorry state? You have nothing to ask? No emotions? You aren't scared? Common give me something " he almost pleads and I can't help but wonder how much of a narcissist he is.

"do I have to beat a reaction or certain words into you?" he asks and I feel cold chills run down my spine on hearing his words as he smacks his lips with content.

"arh, fear… that's a good one" he answers as he stands Away from his bent position, he had his knee right before my face earlier on.

I look around once again as I recall all that had happened in the last few minutes, it had been one hell of an hour I think to myself.

"It has not been an hour Marie, you've been out for far long " my wolf chirps in, she seems worried at the situation and if she is worried it only means nothing good is about to happen or has happened.

"let's play a game shall we, the game where I let you ask questions and I acknowledge some with answers and I let that sink into your mind, it will be no fun if I end up getting spices up with a mute" Lucas answers as he hold my chin in his hands,

I slap his hands away from my chin before glaring at him.

"don't touch me!" I answer in a fierce tone, my voice coming out to sound stranger than it ought to. 

"feisty… I like that" he blurts out senselessly, I've never felt this bothered my entire life, flailing into the hands of someone like him.

"what happened?, I mean definitely something went wrong here, one minute you are one of the honest guys and the next minute you are this" I answer not even making sense of my own words,

"That's just the iron, I'm pretty sure by now you are wondering why you fell asleep for so long, it's simple I drugged you and it brings us down to this don't you think, anyway it's late at night…

"what do you mean by you drugged me you psycho?" I ask, almost gauging his eyes out, he swings slowly away from my grasp blocking my reach to him.

"oh this is how it is then, you could have told me you were a little fun perhaps should have done this earlier, you know it's way past nine ish and here I am, the future alpha to this pack I had been announced as the true son to the pack, I'll be coordinated alpha in a week and you my best would be a pet, a toy, whatever name you deem fit is what you will be for me" he answers.

"stop being silly, you and I would never work, not now, not later, never okay?" I ask with my eyes pinned against him, he doesn't seem to get me right and I don't bother wasting any more time or energy on him.

"you see I'm guessing you just don't understand it yet, I really have lots of things to do or say but then again I'll make things clear as short as I can make it, you Marie now belong to me who have become the young alpha and there is nothing anyone can do about that as you have no one to protect you, not even that scrawny mate of yours…"

"Nathan, what have you done to him?" I ask with my eyes almost popping out of their socket.

"Relax he's fine and fit the record he is still in the pack house. I did you the honors of making sure he doesn't get to go away and love his blissful life" Lucas explains and I feel my blood run dry almost immediately. 

"oh sorry love but did that come as a shock to you? He put up quite a show makes you think he would have fought for you but deep within yourself you know he would not do a single thing about it all, I mean given the fact that you never meant anything to him before and he said it himself when he was just about to leave that the mate bond doesn't change what he thinks of you, nothing but a mere maid and a mate h would reject without blinking twice.

But what had you expected from the guy? He's a plain ass narcissist he cares only about himself, you weren't by chance thinking he would come pushing these doors down? If that had been on your mind then sorry to burst your bubble Marie, he didn't he tried to escape but I caught him, it's about time you give up on whatever dream you wanted to share with him and start working g on yourself"
