I watch her face display various emotions, from confusion to surprise.
"You know, I seriously had a doubt but then I thought you couldn't have done it but now that you confessed to it, it makes sense, the truth is you destroyed all my clothes because you're jealous and wanted to disgrace me right?"
"There's still no way you can prove to anyone that I did anything to either you or your clothes but then you'll have to explain to everyone why you weren't in the room all night" she eyed me.
"Tsk tsk tsk, as much as I'll hate to tell you, I guess I'll still have to tell you, the truth is I don't have the strength to explain to everyone, that's why I'll have to tell you so you can help me explain to everyone" I dropped the glass cup and stood up,
When I got to where she was standing, I touched her shoulder and wiped off imaginary dirt off her cloth.
"But you see, there's just one problem, I don't know if I should actually tell you this, because I'm sure you'll get very hurt and might even cry if I tell you the truth" I patted her cheek and shook my head in mock sadness.
"You see, you're so very tender hearted, and I fear you won't be able to hear the truth, but if you still want to know why I wasn't here the whole night, I'll tell you"
"Tell me" She said, staring at me with a calculating look.
"OK I'll tell you, the truth is, I wasn't here the whole night because I was up in Jaime's room" I smiled
"Lies" She glared at me
"OK OK, I've told you the truth, it's left to you to either believe me or not" I blinked my eyes severally.
"Even If you were there, I'm sure you and Jaime did nothing, and you're only trying to get into my head" she said, if eyes could kill, I'd probably be dead by now.
"That's left for you to think, I've told you what I wanted to say, now good night, I don't care of you don't sleep but I do and after staying up all night, I really feel tired" I got rid of my foot wear and moved to the bed.
"You hideous liar" she snickered.
"Be sure to tell everyone what happened tomorrow, and tell them exactly how I told you, no melodrama and no extra spice" I informed her as I laid down on the bed drawing the covers around me and switched off the light.

Pam must have took my words to heart because she did exactly what I told her the next morning.
"Sir, I'll like to say something" she interrupted principal Anderson while he was informing us about the activities planned for the day, the most exciting part is Disney land, and he was talking about that part when Pam interrupted him.
"Yes?" Principal Anderson doesn't like it when a person interrupts him, but Pam's father happen to be an important person on the school board and owns enough share on the school board to remove him as a principal if he really wants to.
"If you don't mind sir, I'll like to tell everyone here—"
"Tell us whatever you wanna say and get over with it" Principal Anderson cut in, clearly irritated
"I'll like to tell everyone here something important, not only important but very disgracing too" She said
"Don't waste our time young lady, tell us what—"
"Yes sir, but first I'll like to ask you a question if you don't mind"
"Yes, go on"
"When we came here, you made rules, and this rules applies to all of the students right?, and one of those rules says everyone must stay in their rooms and not roam around in any part of the night, sure we can go wherever we want in the day, for shopping and sight seeing, provided we take permission, that rule still stands sir?" She asked,
Everyone were starting to get interested now, she had everybody's attention now, even mine and I knew what she was going to say.
"Of course, that rule still stands and will stand as long as we're on this trip, is this what you wanted to ask?" Principal Anderson gave her an unrelenting stare.
"No sir, I just wanted to ask that question so there would be no confusion from my side, the real question is what punishment would be given for breaking the particular offense of staying out all night and not following the rules?"
"Don't bother sir, I'm sure we all know the punishment for that offense, what I don't understand is why my roommate broke that rule last night, even after knowing the punishment for breaking the rules" she said
"What?" They all whispered, everyone started glancing at me weirdly.
"I've always known she's up to no good" Kelvin smirked
The grin on Pam's face was huge and satisfying even to me because she doesn't know what's coming her way.
"What's this about Andra?, why didn't you tell me she knows?" Jaime whispered to me.
"Trust me guys, my roommate Alexandra Carson didn't only stay out all night, but she spent the night in a guy's room" she added.
Another round of what's went around,
"And you all want to know which boy's room she spent the entire night in right?, Jaime Burns" she pronounced his name with a subtle wink to me.
"Jaime Burns!" Even the teachers were surprised.
If I thought they were giving me weird looks before, it was nothing compared to the nasty glares I got from the girls.
"And here I always thought she was innocent" that came from Kelvin again.
"She's really shameless, spending the whole night in a boy's room eh?" I got a very mean stare even from Nellie.
Even Jaime was freaking out, I could see the shock and horror on his face,
"And usually when a boy and girl spends a night together in a room, y'all know what it means right?" Pam asked nobody in particular, she was making sure they all get the picture, oh come on, I thought I told her no melodrama or extra spice eh?, just give them the facts but you're bent on ruining my image huh?
"But then I'm not a snitch, please don't think of me as one, I just can't help it, Alexandra keep abusing and forcing herself on Jaime everyday that I thought I had to help him, I even heard her say if he doesn't pretend in front of the whole school that he's her boyfriend then she'll do something bad to him" she sniffed, oh well there you go, drama queen huh?
But if you can act drama queen, I can act better Pamela Wells!.
"Enough now everyone, keep quiet" Principal Anderson gave everyone a hard stare,
"Miss Carson, do you have anything to say to this accusations?" Principal Anderson asked, staring at me directly.
"Sir, this is not an accusation, it did happen and—"
"Thank you miss Wells, you've done well to tell us your suspicions, now we'll like to hear what miss Carson would like to say" Principal Anderson held up a hand, he forbade Pam from saying anything.
"Oh well sir, what can I say?, my roommate has said all" I started.
"Pardon?" The principal raised a heavy brow.
"I mean, how can I defend myself or dignity when my fellow woman and human has defamed it?, how can I speak when she has created a picture of me being shameless?"
"We live in a world where people have to kill, hurt, defame another human being to live and thrive, and sadly to become even more famous than she already is, Pam had decided I must be the joke of the school, now when everyone sees me, they'll always remember what she said about my character and they'll remember her as the person who brought the truth to light" I shook my head sadly.
"One thing is certain in the world sir, people don't care if the accused is actually telling the truth or not, the only thing they're interested in is to make this accused miserable for the rest of his or her life, there's always two sides to a story sir, but what can we do when people decide to listen to only one side and judge according to it?"
I wiped a tear off my face, I almost smiled seeing Pam's face, I'm giving a very good dialogue eh?
"So tell me sir, what should I say?, how can I defend myself when Pam has already done all the talking and has accused me of something so disgusting?, how can I convince people to hear my side of this story?, no sir I'll rather keep quiet and let them judge" I squeezed my eyes shut and made my teeth clatter.
